The best restaurants serving British food in Denbighshire North Wales

Amazing and very well priced food. Lovely little restaurant and service was excellent despite being very busy. Could not fault it.

Visited this cafe in July due to trip advisor ratings. We were not disappointed. I opted for the full breakfast which was freshly cooked and very tasty. The young waitress’s were very polite and the whole dining experience was great

Once again A super Sunday Dinner! Cannot fault this place. Even let me have a snooze after! Service was fantastic. Can't wait to return

Always love to book a table here when I am back in North Wales. Choice of food is great, & it’s always tasty & fresh. Service is excellent & I always leave with a big smile on my face. Just wished I lived nearer.

Owners were very accommodating and friendly, especially with a large group. Curry night was great. Would love to go back again and highly recommend.

The Old Bakery does excellent coffee. There are light snacks and sweets and the service is friendly and warm.

Have to be honest, not a massive fan of the concept of small plates but the food quality was mind blowing at a pretty reasonable price too. Also dog friendly.

Visited on Friday 20th Sept. Terrible service. Myself and colleague were sat for at least 15 minutes with the waitresses not paying an ounce of notice. My companion walked over and asked for a menu to be told "they are over there". Somebody finally came over to take order. No welcome, no smiles, nothing ! Order placed. Some time later returned with said order and just plonked it on table and left. We got up to find own cutlery and condiments etc ! I ordered cheese on toast with a poached egg as I was disappointed to note there were no veggie breakfast options. I was busy chatting when I then noticed that I had two soggy pieces of bread with cheese on and a sorry looking fried egg for £4.50 !!! I had gone past caring at this point to be honest. Only picked this place as we were meeting for work meeting and the reviews seemed good. Won't be returning.

A simple cafe. We had a light soup and sandwich lunch. The soup was hot and tasty and the sandwich was fine as well. Perhaps not the style of a modern establishment but that don’t let that put you off.

Called on off chance. Bought bread which was OK....normally make my own, but on recommendation thought we try this. Had 2 vanilla slices...found the Pastry dry and not very flaky...vanilla rather synthetic. Can't see what all the fuss is about.

CLOSED AS OF 24.07.24. We were booked for 10.08.24 and have just received an email informing us that, unfortunately, they have just ceased trading and so have had to cancel our booking.

It’s OK. If you’re in the area, then go. However, I wouldn’t travel far to go there.

Lovely country pub great staff fantastic beer and food great value all around! Worth a detour and a highly recommended community pub.

Lovely food and lovely hosts! The chips and onion rings are amazing! Pork belly bites were out of this world!
