We had a delicious meal here celebrating local ingredients. The menu gives a great range of options without trying to do too much. This is true for the wine as well as the food. The staff were all great too making us feel very welcome and creating a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommended! 😋

Great place, great food, great staff! Don't trust the starters - they are full meals in their own right!

On this occasion the steak wasn't as good as I'd expect from a steak house, a bit thin and more cooked than I'd asked for. I've had nicer steaks from less expensive places. This maybe a one off, so read other reviews. I'm just saying how my visit was. Wine and other courses were great. May go again and give it another go, but won't be rushing back.

Gorgeous food and such lovely service!

The food was lovely, the service was great. The steak is always cooked amazingly and my husband had a vegan burger which he said was very good. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Restaurant quite small, with tables crammed in. Unfortunately for us it was a busy night, the acoustics aren't good! The young waitress could do with some more training!

Locals had previously praised this restaurant, so I decided to bring my family here for a meal. Sadly, I was disappointed by the limited menu selections, the quality of the meal (starters and main courses) and the pricing, which I found to be excessive considering the location of the restaurant. Please be advised, the online menu doesn't show all prices, only starter dishes. Rather than hitting people with a shocking cost for dishes that are not really worth that price (in my opinion), the restaurant should display all of their menu prices openly online. We won't be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

I have lived so close to this place for so long and only today had the chance to go for a meal. My wife had been a few times before and said it was excellent, but today I experienced it for myself. The menu has something for everyone without being over fussy and offering too much. I could not fault the service, the perfect mix of prompt but unhurried. We both had a mix of seafood starter and a nice meaty main, all 4 dishes were cooked to perfection. We shared an equally wonderful dessert because we were so full from the rest of the meal. I can’t wait for our next visit to Patagonia and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five well deserved stars!!

Food and service absolutely amazing

Oh my word! I don't know how we've not been here before, but clearly, our loss. A varied menu , with a couple of specials on (starters and mains) to give further choice. Three of us had potted crab for starters, followed by Barbary duck. The fourth had buffalo wings and rump steak. Everyone was very pleased with their food cooked to perfection and of outstanding quality. The wine list was pretty comprehensive and the carmenere very good. The staff were very welcoming and efficient and the restaurant felt very comfortable. We'll definitely be back.

We had a retirement celebration here for a colleague. There were 14 of us. We had pre-ordered from the standard menu. Even so, the organisation required to deliver all our meals piping hot and simultaneously must have been huge. The food was excellent and, as mentioned, the service was superb. Fast, efficient and friendly. I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent starters and mains, I particularly enjoyed the monkfish, but can't review desserts as we were left waiting for service for maybe 15-20 minutes after finishing our mains, watching the staff seeing to everyone else. Asked for the dessert menu when they eventually cleared our plates and after a further 10 minutes gave up and left. Disappointed as up until then we'd been having a really nice time.

Had the most beautiful meal here on Saturday night. Service was fantastic, attentive and quick. Food was delicious! I had the merlot steak and chocolate fondant for pudding. Will definitely be back - an absolute credit to Cymru

Wow what can you say about that steak absolutely class it was. Not to mention how good the muscle starter was as well. Lovely atmosphere and good staff there as well. All very reasonably priced for such high quality food.

Excellent restaurant in Prestatyn. We had a family celebration and everyone enjoyed their meals. Very high quality food and dining experience.

Second time visiting the restaurant this year and it gets better every time. We had the chorizo and wings to start and the rib eye steak each for mains - honestly out of this world. The chicken wings are the best my boyfriend has ever had. The steak is so flavoursome and was cooked to perfection Highly recommend and I cannot wait to go back to try other dishes.

Food was exceptional, service was brilliant, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable. If you are deciding where to eat, this is the place. Cheers for an amazing night.

She said we could have drink in the garden while our table was ready. They had a good selection of drinks from welsh real ale an cider. Plus a good selection of wines. The food menu is simply beautiful every dish sounded amazing. Scallops - wow they were done to perfection and tasted amazing 👌⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had the Merlot Steak, again it was delightful delicious an melted in the mouth cooked to perfection. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't fault a single thing with the restaurant or the staff. We are locals, having liven in Prestatyn for 5 years and like to support local busnesses. Unfortunately, I ordered a burger and my husband ordered a steak. The burger tasted of nothing but fat and it came with raw red onions and frozen chips that were so dry and tastless and had loads of salt already on them. The relish was horrible and not edible. The whole meal was so salty. I never usually order a burger but will go to McDonalds if I want another!! My husbands steak was tasteless and he also had frozen chips. For these prices you would expect proper home cooked food. The wine was an extortionate price and nothing special. The waitress needs a personality transplant and to cap it all, they would not accept a £50 note, which was legit straight from the bank. Will never go back. Go to the 4 Seasons opposite, friendly service and great food.

Whilst this restaurant is not cheap the food is great. My partner does not eat seafood, rare meat, mushrooms so was somewaht limited in choice but she enjoyed her meal just like the rest of the party. Need a booking to get in. The food is different and delicious served by loveley people. There was a another party who were p-boisterous but otherwise a great tiem was had by all. Very worth a visit

Service; wasn’t great, seemed meh and lacking in care. Surroundings; could be better as i felt like i was sitting in a small café. No atmosphere. Food; i didn’t feel like there was anything ‘Patagonian’ about it. No flavour. There was no ummph. I could’ve eaten what i ordered anywhere other than this restaurant, we thought we were going to get a palette delight but no. Simple food, masking in words. Looked forward to the visit but altogether let down.

Arrived at the patagonia at 4 pm warm welcome and showen to are seats and handed water to start. About 10 minutes later, the waitress came over and took our order and drinks. we had spicey chicken wings as a starter, which were great, and 2 medium rare steaks after we finished are meal they were more attentive to the other tables as we was waiting a bit for the plates to be taken and waiting to order another drink as it took a bit for them to come over, after waiting for sometime we just asked for the bill to pay for the food and drink we had. We did not leave a tip, because if the sevice was a little bit better, then we would have left one. The cost for the food was well worth the price and we will go here again.

If you love great food prepared and presented with obvious care and attention, this restaurant is a must if you are in or near Prestatyn. We had a wonderful evening. The food...mains and desserts... we're absolutely delicious. Thanks to all the team!

good taste and reasonable price

The food here was on another level. Everything brought to the table was outstanding. My monkfish was cooked perfectly and my partner had the Ballantine of Lamb which was bursting with flavour. If your a chocolate lover you have to try the Black Forest gateau.

We attended on a Friday evening last week, food & cocktails amazing. Staff also very chatty and helpful. Also spoke to the owner who advised food all locally sourced. Will be back again very soon Thankyou. 👍

Great food doesn't make up for poor service Waited for a long period of time just to receive our menu Period between starter and main was just beyond a joke could have drank at least 2 drinks in the time between (if anyone would have come to ask if I wanted a drink that is) my bottle was empty for well over 20 minutes before I gave up and went the bar

We were in the area to meet up with friends for a folk concert and picked this restaurant from reviews left on Google maps. The staff were great and the food was excellent. If we are over in the area in future we will certainly go here again for a meal. Highly recommended.

One of the best restaurants I've visited. Ingredients locally sourced, great menu, service exceptional despite it being very busy, facilities modern and well kept. Starters £7-£12, most mains under £20, desserts £7-£9. Worked out roughly £50 a head for us for three courses and a couple of drinks.

Atmosphere was a low score because we were first in . A little expensive,but go on treat yourself I would again.

The starters and desserts were delicious and were thoroughly enjoyed. The prawns especially are worth the trip just for them! Unfortunately our steaks were quite disappointing which was surprising as a lot of the menu is steak. My partners steak was cooked as requested but became chewy toward the bone. My own steak was more medium/well done than medium/rare and a good 1/3 of my steak was gristle and fat. It took a while for our orders to be taken however, service did improve throughout the night.

My meal was delicious ! Steak was cooked to perfection for the most part it was tender and not too chewy, although the base of my steak was quite tough. My partners steak was meant to be medium rare but came out medium well and extremely tough and chewy. Bit disappointed. The starters and desert were delicious.

Really good restaurant that stands out from the majority of other places we tried in the area. Separate kids menu with same high quality of ingredients and care given. Very friendly team, who were great at accommodating our young children who weren't on their best behaviour!

Excellent in every way. The staff, quality of wines and the incredibly delicious courses, all 3 main dishes were magnificent! A real gastronomic delight. As for desserts... The sticky toffee pudding was off the scale, a veritable party for the taste buds! The combination of textures and delicacy of the dish was outstanding! A little hidden gem in the centre of Prestatyn High Street. Advance bookings recommend, as you'd imagine, this place is generally busy. Car park located within 100 metres with a flat walk to the entrance door. Not suitable for children. The entrance (which is a beautiful one-off facade) is quite narrow but the establishment is otherwise wheelchair friendly. Highly, highly recommended 😊 No longer the place it used to be, a ridiculously limited menu and staff are now indifferent and complacent. Such a shame as it used to be the shining gastronomic star of Prestatyn. We won't be returning unless staff revert to their previous level of service and variety in the menu.

We finally tried this restaurant after an afternoon matinee. The food was really good and worth the cost. Service was excellent and ambience very attractive also clean looks.

Having recently eaten over the last few months at some what are acclaimed and as reviewed as the best restaurants predominantly throughout the North including Michelin star. The immediate overview is not to sound like a ....... you get the jist. I would consider myself to have a very good pallet and super critical. Firstly all the staff are amazing, we hadn't booked and were lucky and accommodated. Had scallops to start which with the accompanying touches were amazing and really worked , had the south American braised beef as a main, again the flavours were amazing and really showed true talent in the kitchen which in my opinion has been the best I have had and exceeds other establishments we have visited. I could not fault anything at all and just wish I lived closer as I wouldn't be away. If you appreciate your food and talent this place really delivers, it's relaxed, fantastic genuinely lovely people who help make this place a huge gem that deserves every success Thank you and I cannot wait to be back!

The best plate of food I have eaten in many a year. A Brazilian beef stew with shallots, horseradish mash a red wine gravy and seasonal veg ( carrot n parsnip) The beef was tender drop off the bone gorgeous, the shallots and gravy a match made in heaven and the mash and veg were perfect. A simply delicious meal. Plate-Lickin Good. Highly recommended.

Lovely atmosphere, excellent and friendly service, have only had cakes and drinks but the food coming out of the kitchen looked fabulous, will be going back for lunch soon.

Great food, staff very knowledgeable about the menu and even gluten free issues. Table next us disturbed our dining experience by being excruciatingly loud, and felt staff should have picked up on this and either moved them around the corner or asked them to keep the level down even slightly.

Last weekend we had a rare evening out in our home town of Prestatyn, North Wales, and we enjoyed a delicious meal in Patagonia Welsh Roots. We were so impressed with the food - absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. We both chose the divine mushroom starter, hubby enjoyed one of the best steaks he has ever had (and he has had a fair few) and I absolutely loved the vegetarian sweet potato, mushroom and chestnut Wellington, one of the most delicious vegetarian dishes I have ever had. Should you ever be in Prestatyn then book a meal here, you will not be disappointed. No surprise it is No 1 on TripAdvisor for our area.

What an amazing restaurant. Delicious flank steak, flash seared and served with roasted Mediterranean vegetables and twice fried chunky chips. The twist was in the seasoning and the fresh chimmichurri style dipping sauce. Many other mouth watering options on the menu including gluten free. Decor and ambience was cosy and welcoming, service was prompt and the staff courteous and knowledgeable. Will definitely be visiting again.

Evert time we visit Prestatyn we always pre-book a couple of nights here at our absolute favourite restaurant. The food is always fantastic and no matter what we order we are always delighted with our meal! The Owners and Staff are also great and always efficient, happy and polite.
