Wow did not expect to find this little gem here! Beautiful tasty vegan food in a cute little cafe. It was raining when we visited so we sat inside but also had a small courtyard that I am sure would be lovely on a warm sunny day.

Sat in their shady garden with a really nice vegan summer lunch. Good coffee and tea. And the people running the place are lovely.

What a charming and delightful hidden little gem! Vegan food was amazing as was Sarah (the owner and chef) who was attentive and just lovely all round (much nicer than Jason! 😜). There’s seating inside but on a nice day the little sheltered Wisteria laden courtyard outside is just perfect. Will definitely be going back as it made our day.

A vegan gem in Rhuddlan! I was so happy to find that this small town has a vegan restaurant. I wanted to try everything on the menu - there’s something for everyone on there. It’s dog-friendly and there is an outdoor seating area. The owner was so nice and friendly too.

Beautiful food😁😁🫶🏼 I’m a vegan and the food was stunning, we went with some meat eating family and they had bangers n mash with onion gravy and loved it🌱😮‍💨 great service, we went near christmas and the specialty coffee was so good. Photo is the lemon drizzle. Cosy place and lovely staff would defo recommend!!

What a beautiful little place, my sister is vegan so treated her for her birthday, a gem of a place tucked away. I’m not vegan but thoroughly enjoyed the food and it is now going to be my sisters favourite place. The owner was lovely and very attentive, we will definitely be back thank you

Went for lunch here today, we took our non vegan friend. Service as always was excellent, portion sizes exceptional, food was delicious. We wanted cake but had to have it to take away because we where so full. I would recommend to vegans and non vegans alike

What a fabulous night I had here to celebrate my significant birthday! Most of the party were non vegan. I chose an Indian based menu, which was stunning. Sarah made the evening very special for me and my family and friends. It was very relaxed and Sarah really looked after us. Even the family dog came too! Everyone was impressed with the quality of the food and commented how much they enjoyed it. Many thanks to Sarah and staff for making the evening so special.

Just stopped by here by chance hunting for a cosy cafe to refuel after a run. What a lovely little hidden gem this cafe is. All our needs catered for, owner only too happy to offer alternatives to Sunday menu. Absolutely delicious home-cooked vegan food and the cappuccinos were to die for. Reasonably priced and service was friendly and welcoming to a pair of scruffy looking runners in our racing shorts! Thank you very much. Emma and Nick.

This was our second visit and it didn’t disappoint. The mains and desserts where delicious, great service and excellent value for money. We will be back again soon.

Just stopped there on my bike. Lovely owner made me something that wasn't on the menu. Coffee was lovely, sandwich was awesome. Setting is spot on off the main drag. Massive thumbs up

Amazing food - just make sure you save room for desert! Went for lunch with friends. The main courses were delicious, service was friendly and the cakes were to die for! I had the biscof pancakes (as recommended by the waitress) and they were amazing! We will be back!

Really lovely cafe. The food was superb. We had the kebab and sausage sandwich. The kebab is homemade seitan and really excellent. Matcha and coffee also awesome. Friendly fast service and we even got a pup cup for our dog! I wish we weren't travelling through so I could come here again and try more food. Fabulous!

Totally fabulous Sunday Lunch! I pre booked a Sunday lunch which I thoroughly enjoyed. I’ve previously had Sunday lunch before and had the minted jackfruit so this time I tried the roast seitan slices. Lots of fresh tasty and colourful vegetables, roasties, gravy, Yorkshire pudding and I chose the cauliflower ‘cheese’ as an extra. I had a lovely pear and raisin crumble and custard as a dessert. I also came back a few days later and had soup and sandwich, vegan sausage and red onion with a red pepper and tomato soup, lovely!

Fabulous food with generous portions . We had a mixture of the seitan and minted jackfruit. Starters were excellent . The bistro is also dog freindly. Great service and reasonably priced . Highly recommended

This place is absolutely lovely, such a treat to find a fully vegan café and the food is great! It has a really nice courtyard as well as tables indoors. Dogs are welcome too

Great little independent vegan cafe in centre of Rhuddlan. Outdoor courtyard & indoor seating. Dog friendly. Good service, tasty healthy Buddha bowl and tangy avocado/salsa wraps were delicious. Nice to have something different & at a regular price. We will be back soon ❤️

Made a special journey to this place from Chester. What a great find in a small town surrounded by countryside. They have a lovely courtyard.

Found this amazing place last year so it was definitely on our list of places to visit again on this trip to Wales. A very friendly welcome by the owners and delicious food. Would definitely recommend.

My brother and sister in law own this bistro and it was our first visit, we are not vegans and we were shocked at the quality of food on offer, we had a mixed meze to share followed by a beautiful carrot cake and possibly the best brownie and ice cream we have ever tasted. We are not being biased because if we hadn't of liked it we would have let them know🤗🤗 keep up the good work Sara and Jas

I would highly recommend this Bistro whether you're veggie or not. The food is exquisite and the menu is varied and constantly changing.

It was our first visit here today and I was impressed. A lovely cosy place, spotlessly clean. The service was first class and nothing was too much trouble. We had sweet potato and red pepper curry with rice and it was delicious and the wait time was very short. My son then had a piece of carrot cake which was lovely. Well worth a visit, we where two vegans and one non vegan and we all thoroughly enjoyed our food. We will be returning.

A great welcome from friendly staff. My starter of garlic mushrooms with artisan bread really started the evening off well. Mains of a very tasty risotto was beautifully presented shaped as a Valentines Day heart. Pudding was a sharing board of strawberries, marshmallows and brownies accompanied by two flavours of sipping sauce. I opted for a Biscoff Milkshake which again came beautifully presented. This wasn't my first visit to this absolute gem of a restaurant and won't be my last.

Love this beautiful little gem. Visited for lunch, breakfast and had Sunday lunch take away and every meal has been lovely. Lovely little restaurant with a really lovely welcoming feeling. Also the toilet is spotless and always smells so fresh and clean which is really important when changing my baby. Highly recommend I can't wait to visit again.

A hidden gem! Food was tasty,beautifully presented, service great and such a cosy, warm welcome. A real treat as I had been struggling to find somewhere a bit unique and that catered for vegans having spent a few days staying in Rhyl.

My wife and I absolutely love Green Island Bistro. The food is fantastic as well as the service and we feel it is great value for money. We brought our 19 month old son with us who also loved his meal. The sticky toffee pudding is to die for. We will be booking to come again very soon 🥰

Hate to give a vegan place a middle of the road review, and perhaps we just got the wrong food. I ordered spicy cauliflower, expecting some kind of buffalo cauliflower, instead got a bowel of soggy cauliflower swimming in sweet chilli sauce. I’m diabetic, so that amount of sugar made it inedible and gave it to a friend. He got friend rice with hoisin duck, was quite nice. I had a dirty chai latte too, which was fine but couldn’t taste the chai. The interior decor was lovely however.

This was my long awaited first visit to Green Island Bistro and they delivered on every level. Fast, efficient, friendly service and brilliant vegan food cooked to perfection. The price was very reasonable too, I can't recommend this place highly enough.

I've recently started visiting the 'Green Island Bistro' since they introduced 'vegan bubble Ice tea'. Now I've not eaten food from here yet, so I can only judge on what my experiences have been so far, and what I can say is that the Bistro is lovely, both it's indoor and outdoor seating areas look lovely and plenty space. As I've said, I've been going here regularly just recently, both me and my partner have been calling in for takeaway 'vegan bubble Ice tea' and both our experiences have been great. The lady Sara who owns it is lovely, her husband is a gent, both extremely friendly and the staff there are all very helpful and friendly. I will update again when I've eaten here and also get more photos including the menu. So far, I highly recommend visiting, especially if you're vegan.

Green Island is a vegan bistro and is one of my favourite places to eat. It has an extensive menu, (as you can see) with daily and or weekly specials. I have visited for breakfasts, lunches, Sunday lunches, snacks, takeaways and for the special themed nights with a couple of cheeky cocktails! Seating is available indoors and also in the covered courtyard.🍹Well established in the community with a variety of activities such as a book club, craft and mandala. It is a little hidden away, located between the Kings Head Pub and Rejuva Beauty Shop. 💚

So glad that we found Green Island. Always such a warm welcome and the food is plentiful and absolutely delicious. Every visit has been just lovely. We tried the new tapas menu last night and finished the lot! Could not recommend this eatery high enough.

I took a group of ladies to this wonderful little bistro after our yoga session today and can't recommend the place highly enough. The food was delicious and the staff welcoming and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning.

Was staying in the area last weekend and during a walk around Rhuddlan we were struggling to find anywhere for food since it was a Sunday, then tucked next to a pub we found this little gem :) Me and my friend aren't vegan but...

Went for a meal with my family....two of whom are committed vegans.....was I sceptical, a little!. I have to say that the food, the attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff was second to none. These guys are in for a national restaurant award and as far as I'm concerned......you're the winners guys! This is a vegan restaurant located at the rear of some shops off the high street. There is no on site parking but on street parking that is free for an hour is located close by. There is an in door section and seating outside under a canopy, the outdoor seating is in a courtyard so is sheltered from the wind. We ordered an English breakfast and coffee. The breakfast was of good quality and nicely cooked and wasn’t greasy or overly heavy. The latte looked to be prepared using a milk substitute, this was to be expected from a vegan establishment. Service was prompt and we found the food good value for money and paid less than £20 for 2 breakfasts and 2 drinks. With large breakfasts a drink is provided for free. Negatives: no ground decaff coffee was available only the dreaded instant Nescafé. Toilets are shared with other businesses and as there is only a single unisex cubicle there can sometimes be a small que. Overall we would be happy to return and try the lunch time menu in the future.

Just been for breakfast before heading back to Manchester , absolutely fantastic for vegan food everything was freshly cooked and care was taken making the food I would say made with love but maybe a little to corny nothing was to much trouble for Jace and his wife I didn't catch her name sorry place spic and span and so cosy inside and if you visit with your dog they have outside heaters as well, worth the visit
