3 stars because staff were pleasant and attentive but if not for them this would be 1 star for food. I had a couple of small plates and while the clues in the name, for £7 you do expect a starter size portion. However this turned out to be a blessing. Dreadful, overcooked and any ready meal would have out shone them. Clearly not made from scratch and very very unpleasant.

We arrived for dinner as were booked into nearby hotel. Restaurant was quiet and staff seemed fairly disinterested to be honest, felt like we were an inconvenience. Food was average if that, but we were hungry after a day of shopping and theatre. Would advise anyone staying at hotel to eat elsewhere.

The restaurant was very nice so we had quite high hopes, the food is definitely not worth the money though and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. We ordered a chateaubriand steak £80 from the menu to share between the two of us, we asked for it medium rare, when the steak arrived it was almost well done there was the slightest bit of pink on it. We told the staff that we weren’t happy as it was chewy and not cooked the way we asked for it. We didn’t want to spend £80 on a steak that didn’t even get cooked the way we asked! The waiter then said he was extremely sorry and that it’s going to sound silly but it is 100% the lighting in the restaurant that makes it look well done. ( it was in fact not the lighting as I shone my phone torch on it afterwards) anyways we did not get asked if we wanted another steak made but he said he’s sorry and would we like anything else added on. We agreed that we would just get chips added on (£5.99) and expected it to be complementary as we weren’t happy at all with our food. We ended up having to eat the steak as we didn’t get offered a new steak in return and didn’t want to waste £80. The bill then came and we were charged for the extra chips that were offered to us by the waiter, when we spoke to him we explained the situation and said we aren’t happy paying for it as it was expected to be complementary as the steak was very bad he responded with “we do not do that type of thing in this restaurant”, you don’t want to please your customers in the restaurant? He said “well I offered yous a new steak but yous didn’t want that” he in fact did not offer us a new steak at any point. Staff are so unprofessional and he was very rude to us and made us both feel very uncomfortable. We did not end up getting any sort of refund from the restaurant at all and we are shocked at the attitude from this waiter in particular.

Had lunch here with my wife. I had the fish and chips which was adequate but the batter was 2 or 3 times the size of the fish. The chips were slightly under cooked. The mushy peas heavily minted for some reason. My wife's chicken supreme was more disappointing. Dry and overcooked. The Moretti at £6.50 a pint is a bit steep. All in all quite pricy for very average pub grub. Won't be back.

Ate in here today for the first time. Oh my God what a place! We were greeted by the loveliest friendliest staff member Susan who was a great host and full of great chat...our kind of person. We ordered cocktails (great recommendations from Susan) and was served by Leanne who was an absolute joy!!! We knew we were in for a great experience as we always say it's the staff that make us come back to a place and these girls deserve all the compliments in the world as they make the place. The food was beautiful as was the cakes and pumpkin lattes. Can't wait to return x

Had the afternoon tea for the first time in Caulders and we were very impressed. You choose your own sandwiches and then you have two tiers of meringues, scones (with cream and jam) and mini cakes. Unlimited tea and coffee is included too. We did book although there is no need to specifically, as it is served daily between 2pm and 5pm. Nice touch with the special china cups and plates too. Very frendly service

Went for some food today after not being to the lynnhust in quite sometime. Checked out the menu online seemed good. When we arrived the menu had changed and was very disappointing as I didn't really like much on the menu and had I of known I would have went somewhere with better options. On a possitve not the waiter today Cameron was amazing and is a credit to the company.

Living locally, I decided to visit this restaurant having been badly let down by another restaurant in the area (further down the hill at the coast of the Clyde). Wow what a difference, quality food in a relaxing atmosphere with top notch unobtrusive service. Keep up the good work.
