River Inn in Renfrewshire

Popped into our local pub for a couple of pints and some nibbles to watch a game of football. Didn’t expect to pay over £100 for the pleasure after waiting 15 mins at the bar to pay the bill!

This restaurant serves good freshly made food in a comfortable setting . The dishes are served piping hot and have a choice for every palate . You get the impression that the dishes are made in the kitchen and not brought in from a ‘central’ kitchen, like so many other restaurants. The staff , mainly , are pleasant but not very experienced . We shall be back

Food is still decent enough however the prices have gone up yet again. £17.99 for 2 course set menu when 3 weeks ago, it was £13.99. Far too expensive so will be a treat from now on. Disappointing!

Attended Christmas Party night on Sat 14th Dec 2024. Event was poor with a buffet menu that didn't match what was advertised. Gluten free people got a pavlova for dessert and I got handed a fruit salad for my dairy free dietary requirement. £29.50 for a bottle of NOsecco. The bar manager and a waitress called Innes were so incredibly rude to us, including talking about us and laughing when we walked away from the bar after snapping my face off for daring to ask for a different glass. Complained to this same bar manager about their behaviour and he laughed and then stormed off in a huff whilst rubbing Innes's back. Have emailed a complaint but no response. The bar manager and Innes need a lesson in customer service as it seems there have been a number of people complain about their attitude and behaviour. Poor event over all, not worth £40 and won't return. Some folk just aren't made for hospitality.

Was here for a friends birthday dinner, excellent service, lovely surroundings and the food was excellent. The sports bar upstairs is good for a few beers and a game of pool.

This was truly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. I had the creamy Tuscan chicken and I can’t recommend it enough! Absolutely delicious as well as beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is very attractive with a nice amount of space around the tables.

We booked a room here, the Indian Restaurant, in the afternoon for a Memorial get together. The staff were fantastic, particularly Steven, who kept an eye on the door and when anyone new came in he was over to them with offers of tea or coffee as soon as they were seated. Sandwiches and sausage rolls were provided and the price was reasonable. We were supposed to have the room from 12 to 3pm, but some of us were there until after 3.30 and no one tried to chase us out when they were setting up for evening meals. Prior to this visit we'd been at the River Inn a couple of times for meals, and had found them perfectly fine.

Once again, our family celebrated a special occasion in the bistro at River Inn. It is our absolutely go to venue. The space is perfect for our family of around 25. A small table and a knife, was supplied for the 65th birthday cake, which was ideal. The food was amazing and reasonably priced. The staff were very attentive and efficient, and we were able to decorate the room with banners, photographs and balloons!! I LOVE this place and would highly recommend!!😁

We went for lunch and it was pleasant and staff were polite. The food adequate enough for a gastro pub but the cost was a bit on the high side for the venue.

The food was of a very high standard and delicious, the waiting staff were very attentive and helpful. The ambience was very relaxing and comfortable, the decor is modern but not over the top. Would definately go again go again
