The best restaurants serving British food in Sighthill / Gorgie Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Comimos en el restaurante Skyline varias veces durante nuestra estancia en el Tynecastle Park Hotel. Su desayuno era absolutamente delicioso - Mi marido tenía el desayuno tradicional y yo los huevos Benedict. Yo recomendaría ambos. Para la cena, vinimos un domingo, así que tuvimos la oportunidad de probar su deliciosa carne asada. Su Butterscotch Pudding también es INCREÍBLEMENTE DELICIOSO. These are the types of places visitors need to go to when visiting Edinburgh. Downtown has great food, but the hidden gems in the suburbs are what really shine. This cafe is the perfect spot to stop in for a warm quick breakfast and amazing coffee. Since we are foreigners from the US, it is nice to go to a place where you feel welcome and the staff engage with you. We talked about our visit to Edinburgh. Customer service, food, coffee. This place has the full experience!

Spontaneous visit to this local cafe after passing many times and always appears busy. The menu has a huge selection of hot, cold options along with sweet treats and drinks too. You can also sit in and take away if preferred. Upon entering I received a warm, friendly welcome from a polish lady who appeared to be the manager and in charge of serving. Good size cafe with lots of tables to choose from and very clean. Also, level access from the street is provided so good for wheelchair users. Decided to dine in and order the lentil soup with a buttery roll as I was short on time. With lots of food options to choose from, keen to return and try some of the other items on offer. Service was prompt and the portion was large. The soup was also piping hot and very tasty. Overall great first experience and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good cafe near Gorgie area.

My family visited CJs Cafe, to be met by friendly staff lead to our table, I had the most amazing eggy bread with bacon, my son and wife had a £6 breakfast was enormous with everything included, I will be back

La hornada casera era preciosa. El personal es muy amable y acogedor. El único problema para mí es que rara vez estoy en esa parte de la ciudad. Ojalá estuviera más céntrico y abierto por más tiempo.

I read all the negative reviews and wonder if i was at a different place. I had time to kill as OH was at hospital for a scan, so had discovered the park as a place to walk the dogs. Which was lovely. Went to the bistro, had the pancakes, blueberries and greek yoghurt - very nice, tasty enjoyed it with a decent coffee. Went back today and it was closed, previous time it was jumping with people walking their dogs taking in the sun and the outdoor area was pretty full and folks inside as well. I do hope it will reopen?

Bedsheets and towels with stains, hair on the tiles—all this for 130 euros per night. If you want to check in earlier, you have to pay extra, but that's okay, they have their policy of check-in at 3:00 PM to have time for cleaning... and you can really see how well they do it!

Great chips, Do ask for their home made garlic sauce with chefs special pizza.

This place really is the pitts. Had fish n chips which was awful. The fish was soggy and inedible. Drinks had lipstick marks on glasses rook themback. Barrly an apology andlocals loud and aggressive staff don't care less. Still waiting on a decent Gorgie establishment!
