The best restaurants serving British food in Leith Edinburgh, City of Edinburgh and Lothian

Was recommended to try this place out as it was disable friendly ( in other words I could get in ! ) Atmospher was lovely, went at lunch time on the 11th March. I confess it was the choice of puddings that attracted me in the firstplace, but sadly the macaroni cheese was so good and a generous portion I could cope with any more. So I returned in the evening, determined not to be beaten ! I had a small portion of the Cullen Skink soup, it was wonderful. I was very aware of the puddings calling me from the menus. So I ordered the Bread and Butter Pudding. It was a tough choice, and it arrived in all its splendor. I admit I had to leave a bit of it but nearly finished for the it for the challenge. Let’s just say I didn’t roll out of that place in my wheelchair I waddled out. Good atmosphere, good banter and good service through out the day. No hesitation in 5 star revue. I will return and I will start with the puddings first !

Parpadea y te perderás el exterior sencillo, este es el bar tradicional más lindo! 6 cervezas de barril para aquellos que les gusta una cerveza, mi vino era perfectamente útil! Interior extremadamente histórico, techo adornado de lúpulos y luces de hadas. Las paredes están cubiertas con recuerdos de cerveza, el servicio fue amable. Gran pequeña parada histórica antes de nuestra comida. ¡Volveremos!

No es el ambiente que nos gusta para una comida, pero es un pub y fue un día de rugby! Al ser de Yorkshire soy alérgica a la unión y a los tipos de ventiladores que tiene. Eso a un lado del pub fue excelente. Cerveza local perfecta, se podía oler el lúpulo tan pronto como se puso en la mesa. fabuloso plato de pescado, todo de alta calidad y fresco. Excelente catering sin gluten y nuestra hija es celiaca, así que realmente crítico para nosotros. Excelentes calamares para los estándares del Reino Unido. Servicio bueno si te gusta ordenar códigos QR. Los baños más limpios que he visto en un pub excepto el Rose and Crown en Romaldkirk.

Fair prices, delicious food, great ambience!

Lovely place with deals on each night for guests..Food was great, service was lovely and wanted to mention Harshit and his customer service. If your staying at the hotel highly recommended and Thursday nights steak night is a must to try.

This used to be a fairly bog-standard pub frequented by summer stag parties looking for nose-bag food. One to be avoided. Now a very friendly gastro-pub with nice staff and great service. Super location and dog-friendly. Now attracting families for food rather than stags for drinks. Nice.

Everything was beyond expectations: lovely atmosphere of good old fashion scottish pub, extremely friendly staff, great music. The food was absolutely delicious - we took the slow cooked lamb and the beef stew that were amazing.

Made an order on JustEat, and they cancelled it saying they were closed. I made the order at 2pm on a Saturday, and the opening times say you're open to 9:30pm.

One of the best Wetherspoons outlets I have visited. Even although I have only visited a handful of times not being from Edinburgh but Glasgow.... We always visit when through for the day or going to the theatre. A pub soaked in history (as they all are) but the staff are tremendous and although service industry is tedious at best they all seem to enjoy it and make it worth their own while and for the customers too. Brilliantly placed within Leith walk and the shopping centre and more recently a tram stop next door. The food is always 10/10 and the drinks are great too.... With some of the best prices around. Such a shame this place closes it's doors for the last time on Sunday 3rd of November.... Gone but not forgotten, never forgotten! 👍

Had a really .Nice time at the the drove tonight The staff were really good Especially the barmaid I really wish I asked her name .. she had black hair And was over Nice..and I think it was the manager..remembered the drink I had the last time I was there...5 stars All in all really good
