Visited for breakfast after staying overnight in Edinburgh. Decided to skip our breakfast in the hotel and so glad we did. What can I say. This place is amazing. Food is great, service is exceptional and very good value for money. The service in this place is up there with some of the best I have had and I compare this to some very good restaurants all over the world. These guys just get it! What a great wee place and deserves to be rated as one of the best places in Edinburgh and I’m sure it will be on the top spot before you know it.

Support the only independent coffee shop on Princess Street and get value and quality.A little stall for coffee, hot chocolate or pastries. Very friendly staff and barista who knows how to make a good coffee. Intend to re-visit for brunch next time I'm in Edinburgh.

Me decidí a comprarme un helado de aquí una de las tantas veces que pasé por el lado y en que momento no paré antes.... Unos helados tremendos, desde el momento que probé uno ya cada día que estuve en Edimburgo fui a por uno. Para mi el Salted Caramel estaba delicioso.

This is undoubtedly the home of the best bacon rolls and fruit scones in Edinburgh. We moved office and still have our weekly roll run here as tried others near our new office and nothing compares. Lovely staff and food always fresh and of a good quality. Good variety at lunchtime too. Support local and try it out.

Siempre para aquí cuando en Morningside, el café es hermoso con una cara sonriente en la tapa! Muy buen personal también. ¡Vale la pena detenerse!

La última vez que estuve en Rose Street fue en 1964 cuando trabajé en Edimburgo y visité Rose Street con Friends from Work, por lo que fue encantador volver después de todos esos años. Encontré esta joya de lugar mientras caminaba por Rose Street y quería un bocado rápido. Había un mostrador a la derecha al entrar, refrigerador a la izquierda con latas frías de bebidas y dos mesas redondas con sillas adentro y tres mesas y sillas afuera. Hay una amplia variedad de salsas para elegir para acompañar el cerdo y los sándwiches disponibles si lo desea en lugar de rollos. Pedimos 1 panecillo marrón con salsa de cerdo y manzana y una lata de lilt y 1 panecillo blanco con salsa de cerdo y arándano y una lata de Coca-Cola Light. Nos sentamos a la mesa en la ventana delantera y vimos pasar el mundo mientras disfrutamos del mejor cerdo que he probado en mucho tiempo. Había tanta carne de cerdo en los rollos grandes que no pudimos terminar. No desperdiciamos nada. ¡Envolvimos lo que quedaba y los llevamos a casa para comer más tarde! Costo total 9. 90 - Barato a mitad de precio. El joven que nos atendió también era encantador y estaba bastante ocupado mientras estuvimos allí a eso de las 12. Definitivamente lo visitaría la próxima vez que esté en Escocia.

i had a lovely cup of coffee with my mum it was so peaceful. was a bit tricky to find but we found it eventually!!!!! i also went to the one in roseburn which was a super nice experience. it was a trouble getting parked but we found one.

Nos encontramos con este pequeño restaurante dirigido por marido y mujer por casualidad. Su comida es fabulosa. Tenía su mezcla de marisco, su sopa Cullen Skink y su filete Aberdeen Angus Sirloin en diferentes ocasiones. Los tres platos fueron las comidas con mejor sabor de la historia. Vale la pena cada centavo. Muy recomendable.

Words can’t truly describe how amazing every aspect of our dinner was. It was our last night in Edinburgh and we definitely ended our trip on a high note. All the staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. We ordered from the A La Carte menu and from my lobster rolls starter to the cod main, it was like we were on an exquisite culinary journey which I did not want to end. Iulian, our waiter, was very helpful in answering any questions we had about our meals and Phil, the sommelier, kindly suggested wine pairings which were delightful to say the least. I’ll admit that I was a bit nervous about dining at Fhior, but the atmosphere was very unpretentious and welcoming. I will definitely return if ever in Edinburgh again. Chef Scott creates some amazing dishes! Talent like I’ve never experienced. Do yourself a favour and go if you have a chance!

I liked most of all the ambience of this place. When I arrived for the breakfast early 20 minutes before the opening, I remarked that the staff of the coffee bar (a nice girly team) was in a very good mood, they had such a positive vibe. I also felt that they were doing their job with pleasure. This is very important because, if the staff likes what it does, the client feels happy too. As for the food, it was fresh and the quality was preserved, but it depends on what you choose. I started with a hummus toast which was cold by default, probably not the best option for winter, and it was also kind of dry. I could not unfortunately finish it. The hazelnut toast was much better. The disappointing point is that they do not propose a freshly squeezed orange juice. But, on the other hand, here, the client does not have to leave the table one hour later, compared to other coffee bars in Edinburgh. With that being sad, Fortuna Coffee bar is worth it.

Un excelente lugar para el almuerzo con personal encantador y deliciosa hornada casera. Lo recomiendo, pero vaya temprano ya que es muy popular, merecidamente así.

An absolutely magic afternoon at the Signet Library. A haven of peace and elegance and the most delicious tea. Patisseries of the highest possible quality, all presented perfectly and served with charm and professionalism. I could not rate this special experience more highly than to call it “perfection”. Thank you.

We visited here for dinner on Thursday evening. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The starters of pork cheek and scallops were excellent. Followed by venison and halibut which again exceeded our expectations. Sticky toffee pudding and crème brulé to finish both of which were also excellent. We will be visiting again soon. Thanks to the staff for a great evening
