First time in Leven, wanted a bite to eat - came across Oscars. Lovely mug of coffee (nice and strong); followed by a bacon roll for me and a BLT for Himself. All absolutely delicious, and fresh - bread not just good, excellent!

We were recommended to visit and were not disappointed! The staff are superb and the venue is lovely. Our food was excellent - one of the best lunches we have had in Fife this year! The fish and chips was absolutely delicious and husband said the vegan burger was too. Definitely will be returning - thank you š

Back for the summer and playing golf at Scoonie. The bar and restaurant still offering good food and great prices. Staff always helpful and provide a good service. Plenty to choose from on the menu from a sandwich to fish and chips, all made fresh to order. And if you want a bit of this or that they are quite happy to do that. definetly worth visiting if you are in the area.

We had booked ahead for the "National Pie Week" special offer: we would have preferred to go for dinner, but no tables were available then, so we opted for lunch. We arrived a little early, but received a pleasant welcome and were shown to our table in the small restaurant, which was about half full. To get my little gripes out of the way first: service was initially a bit patchy, with one person trying to deal with all of the tables, so we waited a while before we were able to order drinks, then we were told that we would soon be shown the specials board, but when another server appeared to take our order we still hadn't seen it; and, despite having ordered the beef & ale pie in advance, we were told it would be put in the oven once we had pointed out that it was ordered, and told that it takes 45 minutes to bake, so we were served our pre-ordered main course one hour after we arrived. I understand that it may be too risky to put the pie in the oven before we have turned up, but it could have been put in as soon as we "checked in". Since this was lunch, we hadn't planned to have a starter, but realising it was going to be a while until our main, I opted for a starter from the specials board, of mussels in a curry dressing, on sourdough bread, which was delicious, and we had some bread (again, sourdough: some nice fresh, cruchy-crusted white bread would have been nice!). When our main did come, it was very good. One large pie between two, with accompanying greens. The suet pastry was crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, with a heavy hard crust, and the pie was well-fulled with tender meat and lovely gravy. It was a generous portion for two, and would be good value at normal prices, so it was a bargain at the special offer price. To finish off, we shared a Rhubarb Pavlova, which was again a generous portion and very tasty. There is a good selection of drinks, including draught beers and low/zero-alcohol beers, and a good wine list with options for ordering by the glass. carafe or bottle. Although the staff were busy, they were cheerful, friendly and helpful. The restaurant is a pleasant area and it had a nice, quiet atmosphere, with unobtrusive background music. We hope to go back, but maybe next time we will order something with a shorter delivery time!

Just keep driving past, nowadays always looks busy, loads of pensioners in for cake & a cuppa, but boy has it gone DOWNHILL You now order & pay at counter, though you have to wait to be seated, fewer staff too, tables & floors are littered with dishes & debri choice isn't as big, no butter on sandwiches/baguettes just filling, a few cakes available but no scones, don't offer afternoon tea. Glasses & cutlery were unpolished or checked before bring put on tables that aren't disinfected between customers & need a coat of varnish. Ceiling beams & lights are thick with dust. Obviously haven't heard cleanliness is next to godliness Not like it was a few years back š

Had afternoon Tea today(Sunday). The view is stunning, overlooking the golf course and the Forth. We had to wait around 10 minutes and received 4 types of sandwiches, a plain scone and fruit scone and a variety of cakes. The scones were some of the best Iāve ever had- warm from the oven, the cakes were light. We received a bottle of water and large pot of tea but had to ask for glasses. The toilets were a bit more dated than the restaurant but clean
