The best restaurants serving British food in Maryfield Dundee City Central Scotland

Forgot my lunch before work, and Vegana was the only place open. So glad I went there. Ended up buying a delicious wrap with falafel, and it was absolutely outstanding. Wonderful flavours. The staff were so friendly and lovely too. I'd highly recommend this place - the interior is very welcoming, and there is a wide variety of food that all looks just as tasty. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Great cafe, like going back in time. I believe cafe opened as a cafe 1826, been Forties since 1961. Still has formica tables.

What a fantastic place we all had a wonderful time . Special thanks to Marlene, Oliver . Fraser and Chef and all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble we stayed for 3 nights for our daughter and son in laws wedding . Had the best time ever .

Random stop before hiking. It looked crowded which is always a good sign. Incredibly friendly servers, great coffee and pastries AND a beautiful view looking out on the back terrace.

Paré a tomar un café con un amigo. El café tiene un área de artesanía adjunta y tiene varias obras de arte en exhibición. El café estaba bien, pero los pasteles, etc., parecían excesivamente caros. Tal vez me perdí algo, pero realmente no se destacó ni me atrajo a volver

La mejor comida, ambiente y experiencia que hemos tenido en mucho tiempo. El personal de camareros es excepcional, el chef era divertido, acogedor y conocedor, incluyó hechos e historias sobre cada plato que nos pareció entretenido y fascinante. La selección de vinos era excelente! La comida era absolutamente triunfal y honestamente no puedo esperar a volver!

El restaurante de Tony es el lugar más agradable de la ciudad. Muy acogedor para todos. Su comida está muy bien de precio y delicioso. Comida apropiada y relación calidad-precio! Limpio y un gran lugar para comer! Hemos estado en Tony's muchas veces en los últimos 10 años con familiares y amigos y todos comentan que es un café apropiado.

Nuestra segunda vez en McDaniels, nuevos artículos en el menú, todos deliciosos. Grandes actividades para mantener a los niños ocupados. A pesar de que el personal estaba ocupado que era muy amable y atento. Volveremos.

Opens at 10 am for breakfast and coffee. Good selection on menu drinks served from 11am lunch menu from 12 noon. It's worth a visit. Extensive menu. Good place for a catch-up and large beer selction. Advantage you can book tables for meals or drinks

Just ok, nothing terrible but nothing great.

I am not a moaner by nature, always looking for the positive. Staff were great and welcoming, as were the surroundings and ambience. Limited menu, in my eyes is a good thing as you expect quality to be focussed. However, after two courses came away hungry- I am not a big chap, 5’ 9” 12 stone, normal appetite. My posh prawn cocktail was great, the crispy skin chicken wings, not crispy. Your local chippy would be embarrassed to serve you the smallest piece of haddock I have ever seen, I mean come on Apex, where is your quality control, don’t you want repeat clients? Coffee, what is so difficult about having a hot cup of coffee? I returned it, as it was luke warm, the replacement was also luke warm, why doesn’t anybody warm the cup, I like to enjoy my coffee at leisure, not gulp it down before it freezes over. The waitress kindly discounted the cost, I spend a lot of time in Edinburgh and I have to say, I have a far better dining experience there. Come on Apex, put some effort in and put Dundee on the map. Oh, did I mention £9.50 for a glass of house wine? I never tip when being ripped off by wine cost. Lets get real shall we?
