The best restaurants serving British food in Maryfield Dundee City Central Scotland

Forgot my lunch before work, and Vegana was the only place open. So glad I went there. Ended up buying a delicious wrap with falafel, and it was absolutely outstanding. Wonderful flavours. The staff were so friendly and lovely too. I'd highly recommend this place - the interior is very welcoming, and there is a wide variety of food that all looks just as tasty. I'll definitely be visiting again.

Un regalo de aniversario. Menú catador de 8 platos con o sin vuelo de vino. Lewis y John han creado posiblemente la mejor experiencia gastronómica en el Reino Unido. Reservar en línea con suficiente antelación es una necesidad. Cada curso se describe en detalle con ingredientes y dónde se originaron las ideas. Hay que experimentar esto para apreciar realmente los sabores, olores, el arte que se presenta. Volveremos en mayo 25.

Great cafe, like going back in time. I believe cafe opened as a cafe 1826, been Forties since 1961. Still has formica tables.

What a fantastic place we all had a wonderful time . Special thanks to Marlene, Oliver . Fraser and Chef and all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble we stayed for 3 nights for our daughter and son in laws wedding . Had the best time ever .

Random stop before hiking. It looked crowded which is always a good sign. Incredibly friendly servers, great coffee and pastries AND a beautiful view looking out on the back terrace.

Paré a tomar un café con un amigo. El café tiene un área de artesanía adjunta y tiene varias obras de arte en exhibición. El café estaba bien, pero los pasteles, etc., parecían excesivamente caros. Tal vez me perdí algo, pero realmente no se destacó ni me atrajo a volver

Well laid out pub with friendly staff

Excellent food, and shouting, or having to repeat ourselves.

Lovely friendly little bar on edge of city centre, excellent pints and excellent bar staff. Very relaxed atmosphere, well run pub. Great at weekends with live music too.

A warm welcome on a freezing night with time to kill and work to do before a work event. Excellent coffee and lovely surroundings and atmosphere. The toilets were immaculate too

Honestamente no es el más grande. Extremadamente pequeño, no mucho en la forma de sentarse - o clientela. Bebidas baratas y a 2 minutos a pie de la estación de tren, pero esa es la ventaja. No creo que vuelva.

Me and my mum came in today and the man with glasses who served us was so lovely! He had a smile on his face every time he came to the table and a very lively attitude. His service was impeccable!

I am not a moaner by nature, always looking for the positive. Staff were great and welcoming, as were the surroundings and ambience. Limited menu, in my eyes is a good thing as you expect quality to be focussed. However, after two courses came away hungry- I am not a big chap, 5’ 9” 12 stone, normal appetite. My posh prawn cocktail was great, the crispy skin chicken wings, not crispy. Your local chippy would be embarrassed to serve you the smallest piece of haddock I have ever seen, I mean come on Apex, where is your quality control, don’t you want repeat clients? Coffee, what is so difficult about having a hot cup of coffee? I returned it, as it was luke warm, the replacement was also luke warm, why doesn’t anybody warm the cup, I like to enjoy my coffee at leisure, not gulp it down before it freezes over. The waitress kindly discounted the cost, I spend a lot of time in Edinburgh and I have to say, I have a far better dining experience there. Come on Apex, put some effort in and put Dundee on the map. Oh, did I mention £9.50 for a glass of house wine? I never tip when being ripped off by wine cost. Lets get real shall we?
