Forgot my lunch before work, and Vegana was the only place open. So glad I went there. Ended up buying a delicious wrap with falafel, and it was absolutely outstanding. Wonderful flavours. The staff were so friendly and lovely too. I'd highly recommend this place - the interior is very welcoming, and there is a wide variety of food that all looks just as tasty. I'll definitely be visiting again.

If you think you’d enjoy somewhere with excellent food, service and atmosphere and you haven’t been here, get a table booked. The long waiting list for a table (4-5 months at the moment) says a lot. The food really was superb and the info/stories from Lewis on how the dishes were designed before each course helped make for a great evening out. I’ll definitely be going back!

Like stepping into the past unfortunately. Wanted a nice coffee but it was (genuinely) instant coffee that was used. Pretty run down toilets, and they don't accept card. Such a shame when you'd rather support a small local cafe, but they give you nescafe granules 🙈

What a fantastic place we all had a wonderful time . Special thanks to Marlene, Oliver . Fraser and Chef and all the staff. Nothing was too much trouble we stayed for 3 nights for our daughter and son in laws wedding . Had the best time ever .

Random stop before hiking. It looked crowded which is always a good sign. Incredibly friendly servers, great coffee and pastries AND a beautiful view looking out on the back terrace.

Food wasn’t the greatest but yet again not the worst nice panini but soggy chips, friendly staff but they seem to care more about cracking jokes than serving customers younger girl eventually came down after laughing with everyone. hopefully will be back just need improvement on decorating and seating and some heating.

Hands down my favourite bar in Dundee, not only because i stay on the street but it also always has a good atmosphere and is guaranteed to serve a nice pint. Draught selection is ridiculous (in a good way) and staff are pleasant. Couldn’t recommend more.

So this is the nearest boozer to Dundee Train Station. It's small and very cosy. Some outdoor summer seating. All walks of life. Great no BS staff. None of that matters though. The Guinness is absolutely spot on. Mate just back from Dublin said he couldn't taste any difference.

I am not a moaner by nature, always looking for the positive. Staff were great and welcoming, as were the surroundings and ambience. Limited menu, in my eyes is a good thing as you expect quality to be focussed. However, after two courses came away hungry- I am not a big chap, 5’ 9” 12 stone, normal appetite. My posh prawn cocktail was great, the crispy skin chicken wings, not crispy. Your local chippy would be embarrassed to serve you the smallest piece of haddock I have ever seen, I mean come on Apex, where is your quality control, don’t you want repeat clients? Coffee, what is so difficult about having a hot cup of coffee? I returned it, as it was luke warm, the replacement was also luke warm, why doesn’t anybody warm the cup, I like to enjoy my coffee at leisure, not gulp it down before it freezes over. The waitress kindly discounted the cost, I spend a lot of time in Edinburgh and I have to say, I have a far better dining experience there. Come on Apex, put some effort in and put Dundee on the map. Oh, did I mention £9.50 for a glass of house wine? I never tip when being ripped off by wine cost. Lets get real shall we?
