The best restaurants serving British food in Northern Ireland

Overcooked bacon under cooked eggs greasy, overall not great , service staff didn't look like they wanted to be there. Wouldn't recommend 😞

I know the crannagh has now changed hands and the permanent staff there are another company now. My wedding was one of the last one by the arbutus catering. I was so happy with the service we received from arbutus catering. Barry and his team are fantastic, cannot recommend them enough to people. Denise was the lead for our wedding and she was amazing, replied promptly to all enquiries and was a warm, friendly personality. Our guests thought all the staff were fantastic and hard working. The barman was kept busy all day but he was always smiling and joking with my friends and family. The food was spectacular, our trio of starters were amazing and guests were brave enough to try the salted chilli squid and said they would definitely order that again when out. Totally changed their minds on seafood. We had a bbq for the main and platters were carried to the tables. Guests had the choice of chicken, steak, burgers, pork fillets, chicken drumsticks or hallomi and various side salads. The food was to such a high standard and guests loved it. My farming family were definitely well fed. We finished it with a dessert of peanut butter cookies and ice-cream which was perfect for a hot summer day. The staff were very professional and kept the day ticking over smoothly. I could not fault it at all. The evening food of bbq pork sliders and chicken goujons with chip cones went down a treat! The crannagh is a gorgeous venue for a laid back relaxed wedding. We were able to put our own stamp on it with our decor. The views of the river bann are stunning. It made for gorgeous pictures at the golden hour. Cannot recommend this venue and the catering enough to people.

Really enjoyed our dinner this evening, I had sea bass and it was gorgeous, the scallops were beautiful as well, and our desserts were delicious, a first class meal and welcome at the bureau In Whiteabbey, we will be keen to go back again!

I cannot understand how this place has SO many poor reviews. We stopped in for some Sunday Lunch today and we LOVED it. The staff were so friendly and attentive to us. We both had roast beef with all the trimmings, mouth watering to say the least. Really really beautiful. Then the pavlova and fudge cake...again mouth watering. We would 100% return. Credits to all the staff who made the place so appealing.

Comimos en este restaurante en el Hilton antes de ir a un concierto en el Waterfront Hall de al lado. Estábamos allí alrededor de las 5. 30 y eran las únicas personas que entraban en ese momento. Algo de música de fondo pero poco ambiente. La comida era sabrosa - tuvimos entrantes y platos principales - queso de cabra y cóctel de gambas y una hamburguesa con queso y pollo. El servicio era lento para un menú pre teatro. Tuvimos que pedir que el postre se apresurara para llegar a tiempo al concierto. En general fue satisfactorio, pero no una experiencia acogedora.

He reservado este restaurante para el gran cumpleaños de mi madre. Desde llamar para reservar hasta llegar al restaurante para colocar pancartas y globos hasta el servicio que recibimos, mi familia y yo coincidimos en que el personal y el servicio eran increíbles. El personal era tan amable y servicial, la comida no tardó en salir y delicioso. Gracias. Sin duda recomendaría!

Went to moes on Wednesday the 7th of March to avoid mother's day rush...what a disappointment!!! The sauce was obviously watered down to make it go further and utterly flavourless! The food was cold and unacceptable. The service abysmal, and between the burping waitress or the one who couldn't wait to get home I don't know which was worse!! I wouldn't reccomend this cold scruffy place to anyone!! Also getting charged for sides WHICH WERE INCLUDED as stated on the menu!!! I could go on and on....

When for lunch with my wife had the salmon my wife had sizzling chicken both meals lovely only thing to spoil it was the noise and disturbance that a crowd off travellers made couldn't hear what my wife was saying hence to say we left as soon as we finished our main meal manager didn't try to ask them to keep it down as there was other diners It wasn't only us that left a few other tables did the same

I got the chicken and broccoli pasta and it was so bland,I can honestly say I'd prefer the bachelors packet one you make at home yourself.the broccoli was raw just horrible.have ate in here a few times before and it's not good at all.will be the last time ☹️☹️

Had lunch here a few weeks ago - excellent food and service - great beer. I never, ever, clear my plate - the delicious chicken stack ensured that I did...

Poor this time unfortunately. we are regulars. but this order had burger completely wrong (no onions or cheese). forgot kids juice and tub of sauce we ordered

Hands down the best food we have ever had. The flavour in absolutely everything was 👌 We had the sharing platter, duck spring rolls and the duck main. We aren't from the area but we'd happily take the trip back just to eat here again. Highly recommend

Hadn't used one of these before as I thought it was a little too much california coffee shop but was very pleased to be able to get a good quality fry. It was the last item on the menu on the flashy screen on the wall and I felt a bit under pressure deciding what I would have in the queue at the till. Still It was very good, very well presented and I was able to swap the beans and black pudding for other items which is great. More room inside than I had thought and I would definitely be back.

Overpriced over rated low cost food at high cost prices. Why this place is so busy I have no idea. You can get an excellent sit down 3 course meal in Belfast city for less and it’s delivered to you. Once and only

Had a one night stay, it was GREAT. Comfy room ( darjeeling) lovely cooked breakfast.... Nothing to much trouble.... All very helpful!!!!! Thank you all 👌👍
