Tesco Cafe in Ballymena

So, I had a fry here before and it was a very positive experience, friendly staff, good food, freshly prepared. All good. So I was passing by again and thought, 'there's that place I had that really good fry!'. So I called in. I don't like egg or mushroom so always ask them not to include, same as last time. They usually put an extra piece of bacon or something to make up for it. And they did. I had quite a deep plate just swimming in beans. Like, an ocean of beans. Seriously? Who can cope with that quantity of beans??

Friendly staff, good quality freshly food cooked really well in a clean and pleasant cafe.

Food ok, customer service diabolical and cheeky.

We had missed lunch 3.15pm so whilst in Tesco's popped into their cafe the young lady was cleaning the floors, but took a snack order which was delivered hot and quick thank you kind and efficient.

The food is good and piping hot. The staff are always lovely and friendly.

Highly recommend it , tasty food nicely crafted, great prices compared to the other cafés in Ballymena. Staff very friendly and the girl in Charge there Anna its a sweetheart very prompt every time with a lovely smile . Will definitely recommend ,also on uber eats ordered very pleased.

There was an employee with long greasy hair that was working on the self check outs and wouldn’t stop staring up at everyone eating there food completely ruined the mood and just creeped the whole floor out.

First visit to Tesco food and probably the last. After waiting what seem like a very long time i received my fry which seemed to be reheated food that had been sitting that long its now stone cold. My cousin his was the same but he complained to the server and also that we still hadnt received his daughters chips. she took the plate away and reheated it I didn't want mine reheated cause it look and tasted reheated too many times. I only managed to eat half of it but that's only cause i was really hungry. We then waited another long wait for the chips which she forget in first place. 1 server who can't seem to manage our order we was in there about an hour only customers so it's not like she was rushed off her feet. Better trained staff who communicate better english is a must before I return.

Food cold not edible. . Would not recommend.. tables need cleaning and long wait for staff to appear from kitchen.

Very nice breakfast experience today and served by a jovial and energetic lady that made the visit so much more enjoyable. However still a limited range of fare on offer and prices a tad high for what you get. So many ways this cafe could be improved and become more popular.

Only 2-3 other customers, waited in line for 10 minutes along with 2 business men. I lady serving and waiting on table plus cooking hot snacks. Trying to do too many roles. Felt sorry for her , in the end no choice but to go. No variety of food. Needs to be better managed.

Staff were really helpful. The menu wasn't too bad. The food was lovely, couldn't fault it. My son enjoyed the chicken nuggets and chips

I stopped by to do some shopping as I was early for work and treated myself to a cup of coffee. The cafe is upstairs and it's nice looking over the store and "people watch". The coffee was good, service and cleanliness was excellent and because of position and view it's a lovely coffee shop-couldn't take pics as my memory was full!!!

I thought me last visit was the last but with time to kill I summoned up the courage to venture up the stairs to the empty gloom. A lukewarm coffee and overpriced sandwich later I yet again resolved not to come back.

The whole layout of this café is like a canteen. The food while being warm was a little hard possibly because it has been re-heated multiple times. Clean floors and tables is a plus side.

chips etc all cooked in oven scanty choice of menu visited on two occasions would not return or recommend

The cuppa tea you get here is nice enough but it is expensive. The staff here don't seem to want to do much. The toilets in this café could be a whole lot cleaner.

A decent cuppa but on my visit quite a poor selection which is amazing considering the available food surrounding them. Was fine for a quick meeting and a bite but better places nearby.

Very expensive.The staff are nice, the coffee is good, however do yourself a favour and go to Pennybrige Estate and go to Grafters!

I have been here once and I must really say that this isn't a great cafe. The staff aren't very friendly and the tables are never clean.

I went here today to get a quick bite to eat because my tummy was sore. I saw these sausage rolls and I asked for them. The staff member was quite polite in serving me. The sausage rolls were warm. The sauce they serve is quite cheap which was a little let down. I hope they keep this service up.

Despite the location above the shop floor this restaurant has a cold unwelcoming feel about it. Despite the best efforts of the staff little can be done to make it more popular given the overpriced sandwiches etc. and the unappetising fare. Coffee is good. Service generally slow. Seems to suit local business people for meetings since they can always find a quiet corner and not be overheard. Since Tesco is constantly looking over their shoulder to emulate Asda in other ways they should visit the very popular Asda cafe at Junction 1 and get some tips on how to do it right.
