Good meal Quick service. Café clean and tsbles not crowed. Very busy. You order at counter from a good menu board then pick you cutlery and go to a table. In a large shoping complex.

The staff friendly, but my breakfast was cold,bacon was over cooked and left so it was hard couldn't eat it. We weren't asked how our breakfast was not busy neither. French toast was cold and tastless 2 rounds. Over priced.

Visited Sorrento for lunch. Menu had a load of options, staff were pleasant and helpful, food was excellent quality. Prices very reasonable. Would highly recommend to anyone. Very impressed.

Excellent little restaurant for a quick bite. The food is always great and quite a good selection of it. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Crayons and paper available for young kids and high chairs for the younger ones.

I went with family members on different occasions. We were very disappointed. The hot food was cold ( and if we asked for food to be heated it's just done in the microwave and is still cold ). Also the food is either bland and tasteless or else poisoned with pepper and then is unable to be eaten. We also noticed that there was quite a lot of food left on other people's plates. We're not surprised.

In here 2day for lunch every week will be the last staff are always nice.One staff member 2day was so rude to me has I was getting my lunch and when I went to pay for it the member of staff through the napkins down on the counter at me.When I spoke with the boss he said you stop right there that girl is always happy 😊 and said it was the way I was with the member of staff. Went in today for appletart and tea/coffee for me and my wife. She asked for a cup of strong tea, and was advised that it would cost another £2 to add another tea bag to the teapot. After some questioning, she said she would waive the £2. That left us beholding to them...something that would never suit us, as we always pay our way; or in a position where we had to pay £2 for a tea bag, again, something we would not do. Not a pleasant experience eating our food at the table after that. We will not return.

It’s a cheap and cheerful little restaurant. Called in for lunch, found it difficult to pick one thing as it all looked so tasty. Everything is of a homemade, hearty, calorific calibre... you’ll want pudding, just a warning!

We went in today and had asked for braised steak dinner for two and the girl couldn't understand so I pointed to it and asked for bread and butter and she thought I said brown bread or wheaten when I explained order came wrong got roast beef instead of braised steak bread came without the butter when I took the two dinner back girl tried to call me a liar and badmouth me loudly for me to hear her it cost £22 and wasn't worth it have always used this restaurant when in Ballymena but won't anymore as too expensive and not value for money as not a lot on the plate for the price they charge

Have visited sorrentos on a number of occasions and love the place - the food is home cooked and reasonably priced, the service excellent and the staff extremely helpful and friendly - not sure what others are saying about grumpy staff perhaps it is the customers as I have never had these problems!!!

I visited this restaurant this morning for my breakfast and I ordered the 8 piece fry. The lady that served me was very helpful, friendly and although the restaurant was very busy she was very attentive. I was pleasantly surprised that I got a free cup of coffee with a free top up too. The fry was very tasty and the lady that brought it out to me delivered sauce to me as I had forgot to lift some.

Popped into this local restaurant recently for a quick lunch. I was originally only looking for a quick snack but found myself having a full meal as everything looked so appetising. I went for the chilli chicken pasta and I was not disappointed. I found a free table, picked up one of the free newspapers and a few minutes later my food and drink were brought to me by a very friendly and helpful member of staff. My snatched meal turned into a long leisurely lunch and a very pleasurable experience indeed!

Hard to beat this restaurant in Ballymena. Always good food and staff friendly and helpful. Never disappointed.

Food is okay, if the staff would let you order what you want instead of telling you what you can and cannot have of the menu. I first wanted the veggie pasta but apparently they were not running that dish this particular day so I decided to order the omelette instead, but apparently you have to have celiac disease to order that. Very disappointed that the staff are so unwilling to help. Definitely will not be back.

I visted the cafe with my family, the lady taking the orders (early fifties,blonde hair)was very abrupt when we were ordering our fry and when doing so we could hear her sighing. When the fry arrived I mentioned to the lovely friendly young waitress that one of the items was wrong, she immediately said that wasnt a problem and would rectifty it, she said to keep the unorderd item and she would get us what we had originally ordered. I then gave the unwanted item to my husband. Several minutes later the grumpy lady arrives with the new item but when she seen that my husband had got the unwanted and unordered item she wouldn't to give us the piece of soda bread which had been ordered but due to their mistake hadn't been received. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, bringing the good name of a cafe down for one piece of bread. Suffice to say I won't be recommending this cafe to anyone and I pity the staff who have to work along side her.

Went here on a busy day near Christmas. Was served promptly and got a table ok. Place was clean. I had the Christmas dinner. Sad to say it wasn't great. The pre prepared portion of Turkey and Ham was microwaved I think, realy overdone with a hard edge that often comes when meat is microwaved. I didn't think there was any ham but found a very thin small piece of ham, like wafer thin sandwich ham thin and wasn't worth eating as it too was way overcooked. It's a pity because I had heard good things and other people were eating other meals which looked fine. I'll maybe give it another go now it's after Christmas

Mmmmm been here before , had lunch today , no complaints about the food , it was alright , not fantastic just alright , staff were lovely , and service was quick and efficient , talk young guy was pleasant and got anything we asked for ...... But the food for what we received was overpriced , 2 mains ( no veg, no salad ) 2 drinks was £17 mmmm

Visit this restaurant frequently, usually for a coffe and scone, they do the BEST scones in the area!! Loads of lovely varieties. Excellent value for money too. Meals are great too, tasty and loads to choose from. Would definitely recommend.

very very seldom i ever get a chance to visit anywhere local. my girlfriend and myself found ourselves with an hour to spare and decide to go visit the fairhill shopping centre and decided to dine in sorrento instead of the fast food outlets upstairs. a BIG mistake.on a wednesday tea time there was hardly any customers but yet a few dirty tables. a tuna and onion toasted sandwich was £4.25. it comes with a side dressing of lettuce. a portion of coleslaw on the side was £1.65. it woudnt even have been enough to fill a sandwich. the main course was over priced for all that was on the plate. a can of lemon fanta was £1.65. the only good thing was the cappuccino was hot and normal price. a long time since i had ever visited it but will never again. a burger meal from the fast food outlet would have been more filling.

I've been in to Sorrento twice in the last month. The first time I had a latte and a scone, and the second time a latte and a traybake. The coffee on both occasions had been freshly made and very good. And it was hot - just the way it should be. The scone was very good. However, I had to ask what each of the tray bakes was, as there were no signs. So that could be improved. It also would be a good idea to have these covered as it would be more hygienic. However, in contrast to many of the previous reviews, I found the service to be good. When I asked if I could have my latte in a coffee cup rather than the normal tall glass, this was no bother to the young man at the till. I would certainly return.

A kid's chicken bites with chips & beans, curry & rice for me, no garnish or sides, two cans of soft drinks ...£14! Adult meal no bigger than kid's one. Tiny plate for kid's meal - beans spilling over the side onto the table. No complaints about cleanliness though staff could try a smile with their service and what is it with a meal being served on a side-plate?? Too expensive for small portions of mediocre food.

Went in for breakfast with my sister and it was awful, nearly every table had dirty dishes on it so people had to sit with them on the table. They then messed our order by giving us the wrong food!

Not much to say, curry was bland, no salad with it. Kids meals were ok, more expensive than the competition. Meh

Food is always great & well presented. They need to put signs above all the plates on the display, so you can tell what each dish is...or remember after they've run through the selection.

On a family day shopping in Ballymena we called in for something to eat as the children were hungry. The food were got was decent and we had no complaints however when compared with the cost it wasn't. I think someone else described it as a cafe with restaurant prices and I would agree.In their defence I know that the fact that they are in a shopping centre does not help.

my husband and I called in yesterday afternoon for a bite of lunch, (now we have been here before and it hasn't been great) anyway the choice of food wasn't great so we both went for the irish stew which when served was cold and tasted awful and is was overpriced, I then went to get a couple of pastry to try and fill us up, they came to £3.40 and weren't even fresh, the staff look so uninterested place isn't all that clean, cant believe that in this day and age people get away with selling such bad food

Went here awhile back wouldn't rush back again. Ordered a breakfast panini and i was asked would i like sauce, i asked for brown sauce, was told it would be brought to be. I sat down and waited a few minutes then it was brought to me, the egg in the panini was boiled egg a little unexpected and the whole thing was drenched in brown sauce. I had expected them to give me a sachet of sauce, the panini was unpleasant to eat with so much sauce, why not give the customer the choice of how much or how little sauce they want. My friend got the fry up and it was on a small plate maybe this is done to make you think you're getting alot when really you're not.

First thing you encounter is the desserts which is self service, unfortunately the items are unlabelled so you need ask what's in some of them are. Second thing you encounter is the salads, don't make the mistake of thinking they are self service or as with us one of the waitresses may scream at you in front of staff and customers that it "them" who serve you. Waitress brought my food down with attitude and set it in the middle of the table, not beside me.Give this place a miss, expensive, 2nd rate food, 3rd rate service!

My 83 yr old, white haired father tendered the money at the till for 2 meals with drinks. The girl simply took the money gave him the change and told us to wait for our meal to be served at our table. while waiting we totted up the price of the food we were waiting for and realised that despite the promise of 10% discount for senior citizens (60 yrs plus) we had received none! this was Wednesday lunch time.When the waitress came with the meals I pointed this out to her.I was told that nothing could be done about it because we hadn't said that we were senior citizens when we were paying the bill. What a cop out. The poster about the discount were every where but none them of them said you had to ask for it. I am no spring chicken and my dad as I said is 83. The taste of the food is beside the point. We left with a 'bad taste' in our mouths.

Called this morn 4 breakfast was impressed wit the quality of food lovely waiting staff my only complaint small cup of coffee which id in me b4 my fry arrived but the coffee is good jus maybe sumthing u should look

As past number of times I have been very disappointed with here. The prices have gone up terribly and even the food is a disappointment. One day I got a quiche (it would have easily fitted in the palm of your hand and could have been eaten in 2 - 3 bites). Turned out that the price of it was well over £3 - could have bought a whole quiche for cheaper. The last day I was in I got cod and garlic fries. The breadcrumb of the cod was overdone and when I cut into it the fish was cold and not cooked into the centre. I ate some of the outside but left the fish. At the end I said to one of the staff and all she said to me was "Oh right, that's ok". Wasn't impressed in the least.

This place has got to be the biggest joke ever. The staff were very ignorant, couldnt care less. The food was stone cold, burnt and absolutely discusting!Everyone in there has a face on then like thunder and seems to be a pain to serve the customers!Food is all over the floor, tables arent even washed, im surprised that there arent vermin/bugs in the place. I even recieved a free hair in my food.The staff do not look happy as i could feel a few other staff causing friction and a bad atmosphere.i see the same people working out the front, handling food day in, day out, which isnt always a good thing as they look bored to the death!SHUT THIS HOLE DOWN

Great restaurant in Fairhill Center. All freshly made food. I had delicious veg.soup. also the best cappucino and apple pie in Ballymena. Very clean restaurant and pleasant friendly staff. Very busy place because of the delicious food. Will be back soon.

This place needs condemned! The food is so hard you could play tennis with it! Half times they reheat the food so much it loses its look & color! Last time I was in I vomited for days! This place is a NO GO!

We had thought we could nip in and have a scone and cuppa, it looked nice enough, there was a very much like canteen style, grab your tray etc, Scones, there were alot to choose from, they were nice enough, All in all, just okay, £6.50 for 2 scones and a pot of tea for a shopping centre cafe is perhaps a tad much.

This could be better but i found it overpriced for what u get and the food sits under heated lamps. I also found the young staff to be dissinterested and more interrested in talking to each other than helping the customer

We came upon this brilliant little place while shopping in Ballymena. It is tucked away in the corner of the Fairhill shopping centre. As we were really hungry, we opted for the stew. It was delicious. Really good home made type of stew, and a great big bowl of it. Actually, we could have eaten our way along the selection of beautiful dishes on offer. I haven't seen such really good quality food in such a small restaurant , in years. Everything looked scrumptious. Everything was fresh looking, and properly cooked. Even the desserts and buns were exceptional.The staff were lovely also, and the place was cheerful and comfortable. Do yourself a favour. Try this place. The place was packed. This speaks volumes.

My partner and I decided to pop in for,a late lunch, early dinner at five oclock on 14/12/12. I really don't know where to start. I so much want to say something kind and complimentryabout what we were given to eat, the staff, cleanliness, and the cost.When the food arrived it was on half sized dinner plates, the plates were red hot, food ? stone cold.Proof of inexperienced microwave operater.Before anything I had to dry the table top,someone had wiped it with a damp rag and left the water smeats undried. Can you imagine the bacteria ?I had chicken curry,possibly the worst curried anything I have ever tasted in my long life.My partner went for lasangne,god help her !

the staff are rude at the tills. the cleaners every things a bother to them i ask to clean the table and she started to mutter under her voice. the service was slow. the food all tastes the same. its not worth the money 3 sausage roll with a small salad each 20.95 for the food and 3 strite. its really need updated. i will never go back.

Popped in for lunch with fiance one afternoon,the food was lovely and all staff we dealt with were polite! Good price, some people need to learn you pay more for home cooked food than you do processed take away food like many other establishments in the town! I also think the reviewer at the bottom needs to realise its a very busy place of business with restricted space!

this place got a bad review in the sunday mirrow a while back i cant see why apart from its a italian style resurant and the chap ordered a burger i have eaten in it several time and have never had anything to complain about the food is good and ver reasonable, the decoreis quite quente, good for a informal first date

Stopped off for a fast bit to eat while Christmas Shopping found staff un helpful and the Restaurant not to be very clean. Food was just ok but for the price very small plates!! Wouldnt be keep to return
