I wanted to play some pool with my good pal Joe but these WOKE boys were hogging the pool table all Monday evening!!!! I told the WOKE staff to chuck them out but instead the bartender, turkey-teeth Billy, told me to “calm down” and “ease it with the sauce” 😡😡😡😡 Beautiful sarnies though 😋 yim yum

Called in today after walking up from Greasbrough. Had a cup of tea, with a plastic thimble of milk and a machine poured latte. Coffee was cold and too frothy, tea was just 1 teabag, no pot!! Coffee was £3.55, and tea £2.45 you don’t pay that in top notch coffee shops! Sorry but if you are going to charge london prices then do better.

Went here with a friend and his wife on the 14th Dec for an evening meal, as we have done for the last couple of years. It's always been good before - but this time.... something has changed. My friend and my wife ordered the garlic mushroom starter. When they came, they were nothing like they were last year: just bits of mushrooms, fried, without garlic sauce. My wife ordered steak, done medium well. Blood was running out of it when it arrived. My friend's wife ordered the steak and ale pie. I couldn't see any pastry at all - it looked like a plate full of dog food, and she left half of it. I had the small turkey Christmas meal, which wasn't too bad. That is until I awoke early in the morning, with agonising stomach cramps, eventually throwing up an hour or so later. I've been on small helpings of bland foods and plenty of water now, for three days, and I still don't feel fully recovered. As I said at the outset - something has changed, and not for the better.

So disappointed in this place. The pub itself was kept nicely. But sadly the Moretti was undrinkable and the food….. well!!! All I can say is DO NOT waste your money! We had Sunday dinner (£17.75) option of lamb or sausage - my partner chose the sausage) and I chose the Yorkshire pudding with onion gravy (£9). The whole meal was frozen cheap rubbish. I have attached pictures to show the poor quality. Extremely over priced poor quality food. The mug of Yorkshire Tea was nice though.

Went for Sunday carvery and I’m not usually a big carvery fan but this was lovely. There was 3 types of meat turkey beef and gammon. I had turkey and beef. Nice choice of vegetables stuffing and Yorkshire puddings which unlike toby carvery you could have more one and could go back for more of them and the vegetables. The gravy was lovely meat gravy. One of our party had food from the other menu and had surf and turf which he said was lovely and the chips were homemade chips not frozen ones. All 4 of us really enjoyed our meals. Staff were lovely and friendly too

Today I politely asked for some hot water to make my sons bottle. We had not planned on stopping at strikes, it was a last minute decision as we were on our way home. The man very abruptly told me he could under no circumstance give me any hot water as it was a health and safety risk. So I asked him if he could make up the bottle instead and that way it shouldn’t be an issue and he said no. When I asked him how I was meant to feed my 6 month old son he said ‘ maybe you should bring your own hot water places’ I explained that I usually do however this was a last minute stop on our way home and therefore I didn’t have any hot water. He just shrugged. I told my mum to leave the queue ( where she was waiting to order at least £35 worth of food for the pair of us!) and left What makes no sense to me is that they will give out tea pots of hot tea? But not hot water? In January when I was breastfeeding my son in strikes I got funny looks from a lot of the staff and was made to feel very uncomfortable at the time . So apparently strikes aren’t happy with infants eating at all in strikes. Every are not accommodating in the slightest to families with young children and I definitely don’t recommend the place to anyone.
