Called in today after walking up from Greasbrough. Had a cup of tea, with a plastic thimble of milk and a machine poured latte. Coffee was cold and too frothy, tea was just 1 teabag, no pot!! Coffee was £3.55, and tea £2.45 you don’t pay that in top notch coffee shops! Sorry but if you are going to charge london prices then do better.

Disappointing place - promotes itself on the back of other attractions in the area, the antiques are housed in a damp cold environment which is unattractive to anything other than china, pottery or ceramic. I handled a couple of vintage dresses, jumpers and teddy bears, they were all damp due to the conditions and I wasn’t prepared to pay the money being requested for items that are just simply not looked after. The cafe is also cold electric heaters on wall but unless you are sat directly under them there is no warmth, the food was mediocre at best - not worth the trip and shan’t be back.

An extremely lack lustre experience, promises much but sadly does not deliver, the cafe is basic, couldn’t deliver straight forward request, extremely cold no heating other than a couple of sporadic wall heaters, which don’t do the job, drinks went cold very quickly. This cold also affects the items for sale, many soft furnishings, plushies, clothes and wooden furniture felt damp and as a result smelt musty. This place appears to piggy back off the name, would not rush back at all.

We thought we'd give this place a try as the garden centre in Wentworth extremely busy. There were plenty of people seated so we thought it would be ok. We ordered 2 cheese burgers at £5.50 and 2 latte coffees at £3.10. When our burgers arrived I couldn't believe what I was looking at! The burger was the most horrible looking thing I'd ever seen in a sandwich, it was under a centimetre in thickness, grisly and way overcooked and the cheese was a rubbery square of Kraft cheese slice (or some cheap version of it). It was served on an oblong shaped brown sub roll, so the sides of the breadcake were completely empty. I couldn't eat mine as it was so disgusting, so my husband, who was really hungry and will eat anything, finished mine off, but even he thought it was rank. I would have complained but it was busy and I didn't want the hassle. Even the coffee was bad, it came from a machine where you just have to push a button. We could have gone to McDonalds and had a really decent meal and a coffee for the price we paid here. All I wanted was a nice bit of lunch but I left feeling really upset and ripped off! Definitely won't be trying this place again.

Worst cup of tea In a long time. Choice of cup or mug. Had cup served with a very large teabag in it. Went back for extra hot water and informed server it was far too strong for a cup. Also uses Imitation milk in a small plastic tub. A waitress seemed to be filling the kettle from the WC tap and as it was occupied walked about with it. .there is a lot competition in area and won't go again. Ironically it as a trip advisor 3 star

A group of us visited during our walk. I hadn't realised there was a cafe in these premises, so it was a very welcome surprise. On entry (very Covid savvy) we were shown to our table and given menus. The atmosphere was warm and friendly and the waitresses were very efficient. We gave our drink order and this was delivered quickly. We ordered a range of food, from sandwiches to roast dinners. There was a reasonable wait for our food to be delivered. Everything was well prepared and presented. The dinners were cooked to perfection and there was a great selection of desserts. The 'facilities' were adequate and spotlessly clean. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to return. Excellent value for money!

Went for Friday as its fish and chip day. As sign outside, showed it was their special for the day. The chips and Mushy peas were average, hard to get wrong really. However the fish not so good. The batter was crispy on outside then wet and slimy inside, looked horrible. It also contained the thinnest piece of fish. It cost £10.30 clearly not worth it. However the service and drinks were good. But as we mainly went for food 2* rating for me. Should have been a sign when only a handful of people were in pub.

If there were no stars, that’s exactly what I’d review the Rockingham Arms for. Used to love going for lunch, however on this occasion the service was absolutely appalling. Definitely won’t be back!

This little gem is not to be missed. It's a great atmosphere, with young people who are learning their trade in hospitality. Great food overseen by a professional chef and front of house lead by manager John. Always a pleasure and we have never been disappointed. Give it a try, I'm certain you will enjoy the experience.

We have frequented the George and Dragon for many years. The food is freshly cooked to order so yes there is a slight delay in service. But it is worth the wait can't rave enough about the Steak & Ale pie I travel miles just for this. But they are many dishes to choose from. If I had one criticism and o know this is a village country pub. Could do with a lickof paint. Staff always pleasant and welcoming. Well done team
