My husband and I visited the YD in Wakefield on Saturday morning for breakfast. Very cute surrounds. We were the only people in but this soon changed and the place was full by the time we left. My husband had a full English will poached eggs, all cooked perfectly, I have mushrooms, crispy bacon and beans on sourdough toast, delightful! Coffee was great as was the service, couldn’t fault a thing, will definitely return.

Didn’t actually eat as I sent my husband in first to check about allergies as it saves everyone time and they couldn’t give him a clear answer, just pointed to a case of cakes. Obviously didn’t feel safe to eat here.

Booked table for lunch, the menu pages online were not the same as what was handed to us at our table. The menus handed to us had the allergy / dietary codes at the bottom of the menu, we needed gluten free food, but only one dish amongst all the plates was labelled gluten free - a child's vegan pizza. Not much use for an adult who is not vegan. We asked staff what dishes were gluten free, checked and advised most pizzas and burgers... Except the pizzas aren't labelled gluten free on the menus in the cafe (we checked many times!) and no gluten free buns left for burgers! Need to relabel the menus you have in cafe so allergy / dietary information for each dish is clearly labelled. Plates collected and 15 mins later no one came to give bill or ask if any desserts wanted. Other customers were approaching staff to mention poor service or delays. We were seated upstairs, looks like a large stockroom, tables pushed together, opened large multipack of Guinness tins on a table, multiple sauce sachets waiting to be sorted, catering trays stacked in the floor. Tills weren't working, staff having to wonder about to find a working till, toilets had loose fittings. To be honest not a brilliant experience and wouldn't go back.

Visited the restaurant today to use a voucher gifted to me for my Birthday. Restaurant is clean and well presented and in a lovely shopping facility. Menu was plentiful and price not bad. The restaurant was almost empty, which was surprising considering it was a Saturday lunch time. Staff were friendly on arrival and we were given a choice where to sit. However that's where Staff experience ended. Our drinks order was taken but it took over 30 minutes for the drinks to actually arrive. Our food arrived and it was really amazing, however I asked for sauces and none ever arrived at the table, I was told packets of sauces were in a bowl on our table, however I did point out there were none there. Staff appeared to standing around alot in conversations with one another and avoiding customers attempts to get their attention. Our table was not cleared and no offer of dessert. After waiting we went to the counter to pay, which clearly displeased the server as she said it makes it harder to find our table? The food in this place is amazing however if this is the service with an almost empty restaurant I would not consider coming back during a busier period as feel we wouldn't get served at all! Such a shame the service let's this place down.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch with my sister. She had salad with halloumi and caesar dressing and she said it was delicious. I had the hot Reuben sandwich of pastrami pickle and mustard with coleslaw. We shared sweet potato fries. Would go again if in the area

Me and my partner had finished work early so we could spend a groupon voucher we had purchased at the Yorkshire deli, which we could only use Mon-Fri up until 6pm. We walked in approx 4.15 pm to be met with, and quite rudely, the staff informing us that due to the Place being quiet, that they would be closing early. The staff weren’t very apologetic about this and showed extremely poor customer service by telling us just to come back tomorrow. We had more help from the couple that were currently dining than from the people that get paid to ‘work’ there. We have had our voucher refunded and it’s safe to say we will not be spending any of our money at this establishment in the future.

They only opened a small area upstairs with the balcony doors open which made the area freezing lots of people got complaining and they just said that there was nothing they could do. We had afternoon tea for 2 which to my surprise did not include the tea . There was only 2 choices of sandwiches and they were the bap type these were ok but the sweet selection was horrible and we could not even eat it . The scones were like nothing I have had before, they were like garabaldi biscuits then we had some weird cone biscuits filled with Nutella and one piece of cake to share . This was the worse afternoon no tea I have ever had and will never return

We had booked a table was taken upstairs were we were told to sit at a table with complete strangers we said no could we sit elsewhere which they were fine about but they sat us next to bifolding doors and it was freezing the service was fast and efficient but the place itself had no atmosphere no heating on and the food was bland and cold we won't be back the wakefield deli is much nicer

Sadly I cannot leave a positive review here. We visited on Saturday last, prior to an appointment to choose wedding dresses with my Niece, and two other close relatives. We had booked a table and were shown to it promptly. However, after that it's fair to say it went downhill from there on in. Our table was directly behind bifold doors that led into the outside seating and the arcade. We were absolutely frozen, I fact the whole restaurant appeared to have no heating. Whilst appreciating the need for ventilation is paramount, customers do need to be warm!!! Our drinks took longer than acceptable to arrive, the glass of white ordered was warm, the gin weak and the glass of red tasted very odd. One party member asked for water three times, we didn't get any. Food wise the two pizzas were acceptable but overdone, and the two Reuben sandwiches very disappointing. Overdone bread and slaw that was very lacking. Such a shame. Sadly we won't return.

We really enjoyed our lunch today, hubby had the best burger and my sandwich was lovely. The lattes were hot and service great

If you haven’t been here already then you are TOTALLY missing out. What a brilliant Yorkshire Gem ☺️ My team and I booked our Christmas meal here, because we loved the look of the set menu and thought it was great value for money. 3 courses for under £25, whats not to love? Boy oh boy The Yorkshire Deli did not disappoint! The food was not only delicious but the portions were great - not to mention the attentive staff. Special shout-out to Raz for being so accommodating with menu choices and allergens. Also a major shout-out to Mobi, Raz, Louise, Archie and Gracie for making my team feel so welcome. Not forgetting the chefs who cooked us a mountain of scrumptious food! I can’t believe we ended up staying for 4 hours… This is a brilliant place for your daily pick me-ups, a catch-up with a friend or celebrating an occasion. I will 100% be coming back ❤️

Had a really nice coffee and great service from the staff. We sat upstairs which was very comfortable. The only negative is the toilets were a bit grotty and the seating areas weren't cleaned properly but other than that would highly recommend.

Amazing service from Rhi at the Yorkshkre deli in Leeds today, very politie server and very sociale- always happy to help and nothing seemed too much of a problem. Food was amazing, will most certainly be coming back!!

Ordered food and drink. Drinks arrived but no food. The same waitress came up to us after about 10 minutes and asked us if we were ordering food!! Eventually after about another 15-20 minutes the food arrived. By this time our pot of tea had gone cold. We asked the waitress if she she would warm the tea up and she charged us again. A truly awful and unpleasant experience. Would not Recommend to anyone.
