Discovered this cafe a couple of months ago and was impressed by the food and friendliness of service - very obliging. Consequently I have lunch here at least twice a week apart from a Wetherspoons Pub (Bluecoats). I highly recommend this cafe for snacks and coffee ( to die for).

Little cafe. Snacks were ok a tea and coffee tasted very good, but had to wait a long time to be made and delivered to table. Also tables not cleaned, a chair covered in spilt drink seemed to be ignored and not cleaned. Pity front of house let's this cafe down.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Been in here today and witnessed a woman talk to the bar staff (who are fantastic by the way) in the most disgusting, disrespectful and horrible way in front of a pub full of customers. I'm absolutely appalled. How a woman of that age can act in such an abhorrent way is unbelievable. I will never set foot in there again if that's who's profiting from my custom. Vile behaviour.

Definitely gone downhill since my last visit. Menu doesn't seem to have as much on it as before and it gets a little boring having the same limited menu if you stay for 2 or 3 nights like I did. That said, the onion bhaji starter is really good and so are the hoisin duck pancakes - pity they couldn't make them into main courses ! The pasta dish I had (linguini I think) was very sloppy and tasteless and the hunter's chicken the next night was also poor and bland. Those 2 meals kind of sum up what to expect here unfortunately. Not cheap and not that good.

I attended the HSM Bottomless Brunch in May and could not fault the service of the young lady who served us. She was attentive and made sure our glasses were never empty. The pre ordered brunch (I had french toast) wasn't great though. The French toast was actually pancakes and they were both hard and cold. Was not a deal breaker however as we came for the brunch and definitely got our money's worth. What an absoulte shame my subsequent experience with your doormen and your absoulte refusal to acknowledge any of my messages let down what was a fantastic day up until that point. I am still awaiting the reply where you explain at what point it is acceptable for two male doormen to come into the female toilets to forcibly drag me out when I'm unwell? I completely acknowledge I'd had too much to drink, but I was in a cubicle being sick, was not in anyone's way and did not refuse to leave. I told the doormen I would leave after I'd been sick but that did not stop them from ENTERING my cubicle and dragging me out. Absoutlely disgusting on so many fronts and tbe actions of your MALE bouncers was highly inappropriate. To make matters worse you've then refused to acknowledge any of my emails or messages RE this matter, shows your priorities really. Would strongly advise people to avoid this establishment, once they've taken your money they don't give a damn and clearly an establishment that things it's appropriate for two men to storm into a female bathroom and drag someone out who is clearly worse for wear.

We have been here before and recently visited for the first time post covid and it’s as good as ever. My dad is from Mexborough so we always enjoy going back with him and Angies place is always our first stop before checking into our hotel The haddock is huge the batter is proper Yorkshire using beef dripping and being half Yorkshire I may be biased but the fish there is like nothing you will taste anywhere else in the world and it’s the beef dripping which is key and good quality fresh haddock. The chips were also amazing by far the best chips I have had this year and for a very long time. My dad was a bit disappointed though that they asked if we wanted scraps as it’s called bits here and it used to have it written on the board so my only gripe is say do you want bits instead of scraps!!! The couple serving were pleasant and friendly and the price was amazing for two large haddock and chips if you visit a touristy place like skipton you have pennies left from a £20 note and the portion is nowhere near as good or as tasty in my opinion and I do like they way they leave the skin on again on my opinion it locks in the taste and ensures it doesn’t break up too much

Had visited here to be left disappointed. For what you get it was expensive and chips were rubbish. Fish did have a smell to it but I'm not sure what it was either batter or fish. Won't be visiting again

Best pizza I’ve had in ages. Beautiful dough base which meant I ate it all instead of leaving the crusts. I had garlic bread with cheese, mushrooms and onions. Right amount of tasty cheese and good amount of mushrooms and onions. They don’t take card so I had to nip to the Asda over the road but it wasn’t a problem

Service can only described as 'slower than a crippled Snail. Ordered 2 coffees and a Cake, 10 minutes later one coffee and the cake appeared.... So had to go back to the slow service again in a queue for the waitresses mistake! The Coffee was as weak as water..... The place was not even busy either, I hate to think what it would have been like on a weekend day

Went for breakfast which was absolutely disgusting. I got scrambled egg on after they didn't do poached egg. My partner got spam and scrambled egg on toast. When arrived I tasted the egg which had a curdled taste to it. After telling staff it was replaced but unfortunately the staff member used milk from the milkshake machine which made my scrambled egg taste of raspberry. All round disappointed so walked out.

Decided to try somewhere with 'a difference' for breakfast with the chance of watching some planes. I'd checked on their website for the opening times which stated 9am with bookings advisable, so called the day before to be told 'It will be ok to just turn up' My friend & I duly did so but on arrival at 9:15am the Skyways Bar appeared to be Shut. There were 2 people who appeared to be staff outside chatting. As I approached these obviously disinterest couple, I asked if they were open for breakfast. Just to be greeted with a 'NO' I explained that I thought it was open at 9am, to have a rude & ignorant response of 'NO, 10 o'clock', that was it... they continued with their conversation!! With this we returned to our car & drove off to to the nearby Harley cafe at the Welbeck estate - should have gone here in the first place. I find it unbelievable that a business will treat potential customers this way & in turn are throwing money away!! Perhaps the cost of living crisis hasn't effected them & they're making so much money that they don't need any custom? They need to visit Harley Cafe for lessons in customer service!! I wish I could give this place a MINUS score!!
