Used to be ok. but now not same standards. Chips dry scrappy. Fish freshness questionable 🤔 such a shame. Looks like It will be Ernie B from now on

Got to say this place is worth a visit we both had haddock and chips with gravy , oh heck the gravy was gorgeous and the fish that was cooked to order was well worth the price, no greasy chips, all served on paper which I'm pleased with as I don't like those new trays there all using now ! We were close enough to have these on cleethorpes prom x and there is parking at the chip shop x

Had visited here to be left disappointed. For what you get it was expensive and chips were rubbish. Fish did have a smell to it but I'm not sure what it was either batter or fish. Won't be visiting again

Recently moved back to the area and found this great chippy. Been 3 weeks on the run , good as ever. Recommended to neighbours who all agree. Weekly treat.

Food was just ok , but the lady serving was chewing gum, with her mouth open. Bad in any food establishment even worse when the customer has to wear a mask, to protect against covid. Won't be going again

Been to this chip shop a few times now. Each time have rang in and pre ordered. The service is amazing. Nothing is too much trouble. On going to pick up, met with a smile and friendly banter. The food itself is always good or better. Never reheated chips. Well fried and tasty. Well worth a visit. Good value for money.

Stumbled across this chippy by accident and didnt know it was there. Glad I did, best fish I have had for ages, reminds of the fish that Coxs used to serve and fried to order. Golden almost crispy chips too. Highly recommend and would give it 11 out of 10 if I could.

Oh my word. Arrived in chippy, no chips ready for order. Had to wait 20 minutes for fish and chips. Fish came out pretty much black the female frier said "oh I like my fish dark". Reality check, you're not cooking for yourself, love. Skin was hard greasy and the chips were drier than a decorative scented fruit bowl. All this for a rip off price. 2x fish and chips £9.60. The town's best chippy Ernie Becketts is A. Cheaper B. Better cooked C. Better service. D. Better quality. E. The list goes on. Stay well away from this dismal "chip shop" I'd put it on par with school dinners on the cheap.

Very poor quality. No smile. Simply go elsewhere. If not make sure you've got your Rennies with you as you'll be tasting the grease the rest of the day !!

Living nearby we recently decided to try our 'local chippy' out. Unfortunatly we were very disapointed. There was very little ready which is fine if it is cooked on demand. The chips were atrocious. Over cooked and reheated...they were unedible and we wished we hadn't bothered! Go to marklews instead...you'll be a lot happier!

Nabo amarillo sosa aguada. Estaba casi de junio. No recomendaría aunque el personal era encantador.

I took my wife with friends to celebrate my wifes 74th birthday. When we arrived we were greeted and taken to our table, after 10 minutes we were told you have to order at the bar. When I ordered I was asked how I would like to pay, I asked if I could have a tab and was told NO! but couldn't be given a reason why. I appreciate that there may be a few dishonest people about but if a credit card was registered there should be problem. The food was very good (main course only) but we left after main course. No sweets no further drinks and no tea or coffee. Dissapointed
