Ordered cod & chips twice got haddock seating is so out dated the whole place needs doing up

Found this place by chance and was well impressed it's a lovely country pub not far from the coast my wife had the fish and chips I decided to have the gammon steak everything was cooked perfect and the chips were to die for give it a visit if your in the area

We booked a meal here after reading good reviews and we were not disappointed! The staff could not be more friendly or attentive and the bar/restaurant was so warm and welcoming as we arrived during cold, wet and windy weather. The beautiful old open fire was especially welcome. Everything we had was delicious- good quality home cooked food. We really can’t fault anything at all and will certainly be back. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer as we had to get to an event in Holmfirth. Next time we’ll stay for pudding and a few more drinks too!

Called in for Sunday lunch. We both had the beef dinner. 2 for 26 which we thought was reasonable. The landlady was very welcoming and the pub is super dog friendly. Food came quickly even though a big table ordered just before us. It was hot, tasty and cooked to perfection. Lovely big potion as well. The other food coming out looked really great as well so we will defo be back to give it a try. Definitely recommend a visit.

25 people of retirement age were served with a splendid 3 course lunch from a pre-selected menu. The food was delicious and served by the friendly staff. Elaine & Brian were most helpful with the menu choices and with the organisation of the dining room to seat us all comfortably. Thank you to you all

Called in today for lunch, having never been before we didn't know what to expect We were greeted very pleasantly by a lovely lady and took a seat The menu is good with plenty to choose from and we opted for the sharing fish platter Now this is where the wow comes in, it was HUGE. All beautifully cooked and fresh, delicious pieces of lightly batters fish with accompaniments. There is enough in the platter for 4 people and as there were only 2 of us we had a great doggy bag to take home for our teenage son. We will definitely be back to try the Mexican platter recommended by the lovely lady at the bar, and highly recommend this lovely country pub.

Just had standard fish and chips , £9.90 takeaway. Wow they were amazing, best I’ve had in a long time. Hot and very tasty. Lovely thick fish and perfectly cooked.

La habitación está bien en el mejor de los casos, TV inteligente, café, té y hervidor de agua lo básico para una habitación. Besds no es tan cómodo, elástico e incómodo, la habitación era fría. El problema principal era el ruido del bar, el viernes por la noche estaba bien. El sábado por la noche fue horrible. Podríamos haber estado sentados en el bar. Me quejé del ruido y me dijeron que rechazaría, pero el cantante en vivo se puso más fuerte. ¡El gerente no aceptó ninguna queja! Mi habitación vibrando. Cuando medí era sobre el límite de 87 decibelios pero a la casera no le importaba claramente

Admittedly I hadn't been to Shibden Park in about 30 years, so it was nice to call in here for breakfast on our bank holiday weekend visit to my homeland. My partner had the large breakfast, which for the price was excellent. Lovely hashbrown! My teen daughter had the medium and I had a bagel and creme cheese. We have cappuccinos and an English tea. Plenty of seating outside and in, dog friendly both inside and out too. I am pleased I got to experience the cafe and park again in a less busy climate. Beautiful place full of memories ✨️

Excelente almuerzo con buena opción de 2 y 3 platos. Habíamos pasado el Pax varias veces y estamos muy contentos de haberlo probado. Nos dieron una cálida bienvenida y la comida era de primera clase y precios razonables. El pub es mucho más grande de lo que parece desde el exterior, así que no te dejes engañar si parece ocupado. Lo recomendamos encarecidamente.
