Always get great service love the cakes there Always have plenty of fish in them

Went with a group of about twenty. Mostly, "People of a more mature disposition " also known as Senior Citizens. Staff very accommodating. We were a large group and the staff coped very well. Portions generous and served piping hot.

Best fish an chips I've had in a very long time

Just had fish and chips with mushy peas from Frydays. Absolutely delicious. Enjoyed every single mouthful 10/10. Well worth the money

I buy gluten free meal the sausages are absolutely delicious. The gluten free chicken nuggets are very tasty too. It would be good if you could do the gluten free fish on just eat too. I trust Frydays to cook for me.

Used to be so nice it's going downhill fast unfortunately. Cutlery, teacups and teapots are always filthy & stained. Strange smell as you go in and today the haddock smelt like tuna and I couldn't eat it and the chips greasy and soggy. I won't be returning sorry

I actually like the food here but the customer service recently is very poor... It is the 3rd time I have tried to order gluten free fish - separate occasions and they just say we've run out because they can’t be arsed doing it on a Friday evening, they wanna lock up early. If you go online and order it - they accept the order!? So they do have it… Placed an order online - transaction pending tonight, confirmation not emailed through, called to check order and I have to call back when a managers in to see if the money has been taken out or not?? Tried to place the same order on the phone (which i would have to pay for again) Guess what… no gluten free! Even-though I just ordered it online?? Didn’t say out of stock - unlike other items!

Mmmmmmm chips like rubber,fish soggy ,bread cake very dry best thing was the scraps not good at all,go up to murgatroyds in Yeadon and sample fish n chips from there I’d rather pay a few quid extra for much better food.Up your game guys food was very poor

I visited 'Frydays' a few weeks back, on a visit back home to visit relatives - I live in Ireland. The restaurant was rather quiet and we were the only ones there for most of the time, which seemed a bit surprising. However, when it comes to fish and chips, they know what they are doing. We all opted for the 'old codgers' two course meal deal and there was plenty on our plates. The fish was beautifully cooked with nice crispy batter and the chips were perfectly acceptable and all piping hot. I had sponge and custard for dessert and it was very nice, although I would not have complained if there was more custard, (I do like custard!). The young girl who served us was pleasant, polite and attentive, without being pushy. My wife is coming over to Bradford later this month and a visit to 'Frydays' is on the menu. I can certainly recommend the place.

This is the second Monday we have tried to order food from this restaurant. They say they are open until 9pm but are closing early once again because they don’t want to cook any fresh food. It isn’t even 8pm yet. What is the point of having an order service when you close early. We won’t bother trying them again!!

So disappointing, gone from the best gf fish and chips around to no gf fish and chips the last 4 times weve tried. I guess they cant be bothered anymore. Update***** after their reply we did go again...STILL NO GF BATTER...Given up now.

4th consecutive visit when no gluten free available, i wont try again.

Ordered for delivery a special fish, chips and curry sauce. Fish was massive could easily feed 2 people, and was tasty chips were great, curry sauce nice 😋

Just been and bought fish and chips for over £11 which are really poor! The chips are like bullets and the fish Is like rubber. . The problem here is that the fish and chips quality and taste is so hit and miss!!! sometimes you get a fantastic portion and other times it’s as bad as this one… come on - get it right iv’e been supporting your business for years …

Lovely cake butty. Quick service. Average prices. Easy to park. Table outside to eat at. I've visited a number of times since writing the paragraph above. Food has been consistently great.

Fish wasn’t cooked to order resulting in a receiving a very dry and chewy fish. At least the cats got a treat.

Called ahed to ask for gluten free just Incase they told us to come in and just ask for it. We drove 30 mins to be told "we haven't got any" and that was it. Very disappointed.

We nipped in on our way home from work, and Im so glad we did! Im really fussy with my fish and chips, usually have to stop eating half way through because they’re too greasy… Not tonight! Lovely chunky fish and spot on chips. The two young girls were polite, but did serve us a littles less chips than we would have liked… Not to worry though, the gentleman at the fryer noticed before we even had the chance to say anything and asked the girls to wrap up another bag for us! Fab service, great food… Thank you 🙂

No atmosphere, a bit dim, some light bulbs need attention as well as their shades. Only a couple of tables occupied at a time I would have expected to be reasonably busy, late afternoon/early evening. Sorry to be so negative but an above average location had been expected along the lines of nearby Billy Murgatroyd's and Wetherby Whaler. Fish and chips were almost as good as those two. Cutlery was ordinary, EG. not a fish knife and a desert spoon for soup. No toilet paper in dispenser and toilets needed a little cleaning. If your going I would look to see if mushy peas can be added, usually included in Yorkshire traditionally.

This was our first time ever visiting this fish & chip shop, and I was intrigued to try it, but unfortunately we will never be re-visiting it again. Both the fish and the chips were certainly not fresh and had obviously been sitting there a fair old while. The ends of the fish were chewy as was the fish to some extent, and we left around a third of our chips. We only ate as much as we did because we were very hungry. I know the price of everything has gone up, so they now state that their prices have also, so they now charge 5p for forks and 10p for bags.

The only reason I've only given this a point off for atmosphere is it's always so quiet. Best fish and chips in the area, go there and solve it's only problem.

The only thing wrong was I asked for 3 slices of bread and was brought 3 half slices as they are only allowed to give 1 full slice per person. I am definitely going to eat there again.

Only found out by chance that Frydays cater for gluten free. Popped in on Saturday and the gluten free fish was delicious, pure white fish with a crispy batter. Whether you are gluten tolerant or not give this place a try you will not be disappointed. Will certainly be trying the rest of the gluten free listed on their menu. It is very hard to find a Fish and chip shop locally that cater for coeliacs as far as I am aware this is the only one apart from pudsey and guisley

Eaten here a few times, unfortunately, I'm not keen on salt, and everything is caked in it. chips were ok but the batter and sausage tasted like a salt mill. need to consider another chippy

Friendly staff, value for money

Great if you have little children! This restaurant was a great place for a midweek, lunchtime treat. We had our 2 year old twins with us which is always an adventure! But the great thing about the Frydays restaurant is that there’s a small, fenced off play area where little ones can play happily whilst we eat and have a conversation in peace (which is a novelty for us). The food was good quality and served quickly plus the girl serving us was really friendly.

Wow! Best scallops i’ve ever had. Not a massive eater so i only get something small from takeaways but wish i had ordered far more! Best i’ve had from anywhere. Very friendly staff aswell, Young lad was very friendly and kept great conversation throughout. recommend this place to everyone will 100% be back.

Oh my days....this is a scollap . What a joke. The chips and sasauge was disgraceful.....no scapps as asked for!!!! Don't reckon you will last long!!! Tried as you were new!!! Very disappointed. Gud luck

Local chippy,sells gluten fish and chips but never has any batter had to go to Shipley the last few times.

Hi.. We Love Fridays Fish and Chips Restaurant, and go every week ~ The Food is Top Quality and Not at all greasy .. All the Staff are very friendly and helpful. The fish and chips were ok but the pudding was not nice very dry as the "custard"was like melted cheese.the service was ok even though no teaspoons with cups no glass given with coca cola.shall not use the restaurant again.use to go when it was Webster and was alot better.

Looks like it's going to be a great chip shop, sadly we were disappointed. Freshly cooked chips but curry sauce very watery and very little given out. Won't be going again

Great value for money although not all choices from the menu were available. It was Monday lunch so maybe that was the reason. The young waitress was brilliant. Our group had a long table one end of which was reasonably warm, the other end being really cold. Coats and scarves were needed. Otherwise a good venue for a group of 20 people

Food is so much better if you eat in, not overly priced either, was an issue as the staff from the previous shift hadn't cleaned up, but the staff are lovely, and was quickly fixed.

Just called in at 8.00pm tonight, chips had been part cooked then warmed up. I asked for a lite bite which is a small fish and chips but was given a normal fish which was cut in half, so very small because they could not be bothered to fry fresh. The chips were very greasy. Not good.

Absolutely ridiculous only customer and still get the order wrong would understand if it was busy and loud but it wasn’t

Im not normally one to complain, especially on such simplistic food....But Frydays......is a big let down. The reason why firstly was due to most of my chips were under cooked, the potato even in my scallops were also undercooked. and it all came to me (including my curry sauce) cold, not even luke warm. i wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Head to drakes up the road. far far better service (with a smile) and food. This is an add on as I went back to see if anything had improved (14/08/22) Unfortunately it has not.... Bought a scollop and chip butty. The scollops were clearly old. Not even like morning old, probably ones left from the night before. I could tell because the Batter surrounding the scollop was hard and almost rubbery to chew. If this was freshly made it be crispy and slightly crunchy but easily to rip. It felt like I was tearing and chewing cardboard. The chips alongside were cooked ok. Had to pick em out to atleast enjoy something and the curry sauce was slightly sour to taste which I found odd. Made me wonder how old that is aswell. Really unimpressed with the quality of the food overall, on top, no one can crack a smile either when I present them with one. Its really not worth testing the place again.

Ordered online for pickup at 6:15. Got there about 6:08 so the order wouldn’t be sitting around. It was already been bagged up. God knows how long it had been sitting there getting cold.

Just had delicious gluten free fish and chips my husband had fish cake and chips and said they where very good the batter was lovely and crisp on both and the chips were lovely not greasy and no bits. Can't wait to be able to go eat in

Not sure girl who served.was a bit abrupt when it was once again our kids meals had no drinks in my wife asked for them and was told and I quote 'did you ask for them' in a VERY sarcastic manner. Surly we should not have to ask as they are part of the deal.

Not the same anymore total difference in quality and service from past visits. When it was Websters it was good since the change to Frydays.... very poor will not be visiting again

I decided to take my woman to Fridays For fish and chips. I needed the loo and was shocked at the horrible filthy mess. There were spiders all over. Poo stains on the toilet and goodness knows what on the floor. Filthy everywhere. When the cups and saucers arrived there was a grubby film all over the crockery. I had to ask the waitress to clean them but she wasn't happy. I have been there many times before when it was Websters. Obviously the standards have dropped. Never again. See the photos.

Gone down hill chips scratty and plastic like coating, fish has got smaller and not as nice.

I'm not by any means a big eater but there portion sizes for the money are tiny and food tasted stale and not fresh at all.
