Called in on Saturday (not pre-booked) asked for a table but was told that they were full. 5 minutes later was told that they had a cancellation and could squeeze us in. Food was amazing , Scotch egg in Black pudding 100% , Rib eye was awesome too. Staff , service and general ambience couldn't be faulted. Highly recommend

Lovely warm welcome, great service & good food. Visited with a friend I ordered the full breakfast which was delicious (my egg was perfect š ) my friend ordered pancakes with bacon & maple syrup which were also well cooked and delicious. Tea was nice & hot & plenty in teapot for two people, love the vintage style tea cups and saucers, we will definitely come back again.

Itās taken me a while to write this review as I am so disappointed. We were seated at 3pm when we saw the older waitress , Jackie , eating leftovers and drinking round the corner. Additionally she failed to bring us our mandatory bread which we also saw her eat.i would like it to be noted the rest of the staff were very helpful and polite. An argument broke out between one of the younger members of staff and Jackie and she was heard swearing and threatening to send other staff members home. This was completely inappropriate to do infornt of customers. After we finished our meal we requested tea and coffee. Once again Jackie was seen drinking tea at the tea station. Food was lovely , not sure I will return due to certain members of staff.

Absolutely fantastic lunch. The Ploughmans salads are the pride and joy of the chef whose name escapes me but I think itās Mary or Maria? Well all we can say is no wonder they are her pride and joy because itās wonderful! Well done chef! The ham was delicious, the pie tasty and the presentation is wonderful. The turkey and cranberry salad bowl was absolutely delicious and a really good value for money size. The service was first class, friendly, prompt and welcoming. A real find down the alleyway and we would definitely visit again.

Based on the food I definately rate this place as "very good". There is a good selection, the homemade cakes and pasties are paticularly nice, the food is tasty and the portions are definately on the generous side. The price range is also good, better than other places nearby. The only thing to put anyone off is that the seating area (not kitchen), whilst originally cute, is now scruffy, over packed with random stuff and feels grubby. Would be better to get rid of all the tat, books, sweets and dresser and give the place a clean, minimal feel. Could possibly get more tables in then rather than just one bug one.

Only ever get fish and chips from here as it is the best. Really good portion size and quality. We missed it very much when it was closed during lock down!!

Brilliant looks course which is always well kept during the summer and winter. During the winter you will have to play off the matts which I donāt find to bad is it keeps the place looking tidy. When summer arrives the course does get harder as the rough and surrounding areas do overgrown and is impossible to find your ball. But on that I do love this course

A breakfast cafe on the Monckton industrial estate. Outdoor seating, very reasonable breakfast for the price. Just what we needed. Dog allowed to sit outside with us.
