We stayed here on Saturday night, after reading the reviews, we were expecting it to not be the best, but the room was clean and the bed was comfy, we got put at the front of the hotel and OMG was it noisy, the pubs around were playing music VERY LOUDLY and as I'm Typing, still are. This is a great location for the first direct arena, but if you want a good night's sleep, then it's an absolute NO go

Me quedé absolutamente horrorizado por cómo el personal respondió a mi hija cuando le preguntó si era posible hacer una excepción para usar el baño del personal. El inodoro del café estaba en desuso y está embarazada de 8 meses, la chica a la que le preguntó respondió diciendo “no si trabajas aquí 8 horas al día, entonces sí!”. En toda mi vida nunca había oído hablar de una respuesta tan grosera y fuera de lugar. Y para rematar todo el Gerente no dijo nada en ese momento, pero aparentemente estaba parado al lado de aquí, como descubrí cuando llamé para hablar con él, ¡sólo dijo que tenemos un registro! No hay disculpas de nadie, nunca volveremos a frecuentar este café, su pérdida como de costumbre vamos como una familia numerosa. Espero que su negocio sufra como consecuencia.

We have always been a massive fan of this restaurant but recently it seems to of gone down hill. My partner order a burger that was no smaller than a child’s meal (not like the pictures you see online) the waitress did return and swap for an alternative meal but that wasn’t great either. Both myself and my friend ordered the caramelised steak ciabatta which was dreadful. The bread was so dry and hard. The manager did knock £5.85 off the bill but I don’t think this justifies how shocking the meal was. I would not recommend this place to any friends of family. Which is a shame as we eat here regularly.

Make sure you take ID in now at all costs for a child! Apparently this is common practice now to ask anyone for ID even a child that is 12 years of age. Then when actually challenging this get asked to leave the premises and refused to offer a refund for drinks purchased. Absolutely shocking customer service from the female staff member who then refused to advise of what the complaints policy was told to 'look online'. Not sure where the customer service training is that is offered but absolutely terrible! When asked who the area manager was told they don't give this information out. Absolutely shocking!!

Excellent Sunday lunch. Lovely roast and delicious pudding. Very comfortable seats!

Good food and drink offerings. Place was very well run despite being extremely busy on match day. We had breakfast and it was good value and reasonable quality. Location is perfect in the city centre.

Cheap beer and a sunny garden. Was super busy but when you can pay a 5er and get 2 pints you can't go wrong.

Food tasty ,just warm ... Waited for eggs , then 20 min for bacon.. Recently been refurbished, but no thought re staffing when busy at 10.20 .20/2/25 Would not come back for the breakfast .

Lovely food. Clean welcoming atmosphere and Jen who looked after us was so nice, she really went above and beyond and made it a very enjoyable lunch.

For a Toby, this place was lovely as the quality across the chain is very hit and miss. We went for wraps instead of a carvery and I was generally very impressed with the service and food quality. Only thing that lets the review down is that the place wasn't staffed as well as it could be. A big restaurant that was mostly empty, yet it took a good hour or so for the food to arrive. Would happily return though, as I said, the chain is very hit miss in multiple locations so much as they are renowned for it. EV chargers are in the car park to the rear side of the premises. Questionable IHG hotel is very close. Also, can someone pick up the mouldy banana from outside the kitchen door grass area? Made me laugh seeing that as it looked like a masssive poo.
