The best restaurants serving British food in Yorkshire and The Humber

My abode for my latest Sheffield visit, during this week, was again The Crow Inn, 33 Scotland Street S3 7BS, which reopened 5 years ago after quite a few years closure, and has 7 en suite bedrooms. Comfortable bed, clean and airy room. Sadly, no breakfast provided, but there are some very interesting bar snacks. Importantly, it also sells quite a few interesting ales and crafty keg beers! Open Mon-Wednesday 3pm to 12 midnight; Thurs-Saturday 12 noon to 1am; Sunday 12 noon to 11pm. Friendly and efficient staff.

A wonderful find. Spotlessly clean, very good range of food priced appropriately. The spinach, spiced cauliflower & lentil pie was delicious. Staff cheerful and friendly. Lovely original decor with good attention to detail ( there were scissors provided at the table to cut the individual condiment satchets).

Excellent food and service. Lovely lakeside venue. Gluten Free no problem. Look forward to regular visits. Also excellent quality farm shop.

Met a friend for coffee here. Wasn't expecting much during these times of covid, but it was a delight. Sat outside under an umbrella big enough to keep off a shower. Excellent coffee served by a very friendly young student waitress. Delightful people and a lovely little dog. Will be back.

First trip to Cafe Eden and definitely won't be the last. Had the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Everything freshly and perfectly cooked by lovely people. We'll be back.

Called in for two Bacon sandwiches as we were in town visiting from the south coast.... in these Covid times the cafe is well set out..... great interaction with staff and top value food....... highly recommended

The food is piping hot and freshly prepared. The bagles are absolutely delicious with plenty of fillings as are the salad boxes and breakfast boxes will definitely be back.big thank you to all the helpful staff

Really good top quality comfort food for this time of year and good prices. Staff are really accommodating and cant do enough for you! Quiz is very entertaining. Good selection of spirits and good atmosphere. All in all a great place to go!

Siempre he sido un ávido fan de Mollies y sus sándwiches insuperable Sin embargo la última visita se había producido un cambio en el personal que prestaba servicios Los sándwiches que comimos no eran los habituales de alto nivel No son los más baratos, pero nunca les importó que como eran de tan alta calidad y gran valor No tanto ahora. . como los rellenos eran menos de lo habitual haciendo que no tengan tan buena relación calidad-precio Espero que haya sido un hecho único y lo intentaremos de nuevo

⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Been for Sunday lunch here today with my partner and parents the food was incredible! Great atmosphere in Hull’s beautiful & historical pub. The service was lovely and the chef very friendly and happy to chat to us. A special place and a special experience can highly recommend! We’ll be back!

Best fish and chips in Yorkshire, up there with the best , yummy lunch and great friendly staff, serving good portions at cheap prices, Saturday is not Saturday without a trip to Sharkeys

Absolutely lovely place, amazing food, friendly staff.

Went to my son's wedding which we had a good time because we made that time good. The food service was good. What lets the place down is that signage could be much better if you didn't have satellite navigation to find the place. On the grounds same again just make the signage stand out much better it would save people getting confused. ONE THING I DIND UNFAIR TO LADIES there is no where in your manual that LADIES can't wear bathrobe to breakfast after getting makeup done but not ready to get dressed then your staff choosing who they turn away because not all staff implement that procedure if it is something to follow put it in your manual. And the other thing you need to put up signs restricting speed down to 10 mph because one of your member of staff was doing roughly doing 25mph and nearly smashed into my car as I was about to leave and they should know better than anybody else.

We have just enjoyed a terrific take away afternoon tea. This included a selection of sandwiches, cheese scone, half porkpie, tray bakes and a jam and cream scone. All were home baked and freshly made. Previously we have eaten the afternoon tea, and other meals, in the tea shop, and everything was delicious! The team there are lovely and the service is friendly and welcoming.
