Nice friendly family run cafe.Been following this little cafe on facebook for sometime after a friend visited there to eat. Finally found our way there today and being a Sunday afternoon they were quiet but they had some lovely cakes on offer and the place was warm and friendly. The owners were very nice and chatted to us about the cafe and their plans for expansion. It overlooks a fishing lake and I would imagine sitting outside on a lovely sunny day this would be very pleasant, though inside on a wet dark Sunday afternoon was warm and welcoming. They also have a small farm shop with some nice produce and bits and pieces. A great find, and family run.

My friend & I booked a table for lunch today to celebrate her birthday next week and were not disappointed. There is a specials board - which we both chose the Jacket potato with jamaician chicken curry and salad - delicious - with a skinny coffee and a tea. Curry was home made and fantastic. The farm shop attached has lots to offer also.

Relaxed rural café overlooking fishing lake in Halsham (on the road from Burstwick to Withernsea in East Yorkshire- the café is listed under both Withernsea and Hull in TripAdvisor). Called in for a late lunch. Lovely fresh food and friendly service. Highly recommended.

saw this little place here on trip advisor! under places to eat in withernsea. so as we know all the eateries was intrigued as i didn't know this one well it's in the nearby village of Halsham along with the Halsham fishing ponds as well as a nice little cafe there's a well stocked farm shop, locally grown produce in abundance, which is used in the cafe in their menu prices in cafe and shop are reasonable, both are clean and staff welcoming and accommodating . we will be back ,bringing our family and dog to enjoy the surroundings.

Great cafe next to the water at halsham ponds. Second visit today - kiddies desperate to return for some scrummy cake agsin. We had lunch today and it was soo tasty!! I has the broccoli and bacon quiche which was absolutely spot on alongside minted new potatoes, coleslaw and a delightful salad. The children's preferences were catered for with enthusiasm (scrambled eggs next to toast!) and the lamb and mint pasty was to quote my 12 year old 'absolutely amazing!' Will most definitely be returning sooner rather than later. We even brought home Cherry Bakewell, chocolate slice and my mum some freshly baked scones. The farm shop had lots of delights to, with lots of local produce. Really helpful and courteous staff! Well done!!

We would thoroughly recommend this lovely eating place and farm shop. The food is good, tasty home cooked fare and scrumptious cakes or light lunches. The beverages are spot on and you can even take away various freshly cooked meals to have later or freeze for another day. What a delight to look out over the fishing pond and witness the moor hens, ducks and sometimes a jumping fish. Set in picturesque countryside, nothing is too much trouble for owner Chris and talented pastry cook Penny. Whilst there , you must try the sweet tomatoes and other quality fruit and vegetables available in the shop. On a sunny day, sit outside and top up your tan or enjoy the air conditioned, relaxed atmosphere inside. Five stars indeed from us.

I was not looking forward to my lockdown birthday so you can imagine how excited I was to receive an Afternoon Tea from my daughter. The platter was brought to my door by Mrs M herself. It was beautifully presented and even had a Happy Birthday sticker on it. The food was delicious, I can honestly say that every mouthful was sublime. Highly recommended! It really made me feel special.

First trip to Cafe Eden and definitely won't be the last. Had the best breakfast I've had in a long time. Everything freshly and perfectly cooked by lovely people. We'll be back.

Bit dingy lighting, given that the cafe is deep back to front. The teacake was delicious but only scantily buttered and not around the edges, so ask for extra butter. A serviette would have been nice. Taylor decaf tea was extra weak, ask for an extra tea bag to get a bit of taste

Our first visit today after booking well in advance. We both had the steak pie with peas my husband had his with chips I had mashed potatoes which were lovely. Husband had choc fudge cake while I had absolutely delicious ginger sponge and custard. Really good fresh home cooked food at a very fair price. John and Karen are both very friendly and welcoming. Our first visit but already booked to return next month. Thank you both.
