Our second visit to this wonderful place with such lovely friendly staff . A very comfortable , warming relaxed atmosphere and great personal service. Great food and lovely staff. I just miss their old menu from right before they changed their branding. My favourite meal and my husband’s favourite were both removed from the menu and we’re not huge fans of the alternatives, but it’s still a great place with great food and service. We just don’t come in quite as often as we used to.

Excellent food, fresh and full of flavour, with exceptional service. Really smooth coffee too. Will definitely be back. Music was little loud for our taste but all part of the atmosphere.

We visited as a group of 4. We ordered 4 coffees and waited, and waited more than half an hour. The bar was busy but there seemed to be major issues with logistics. Only 1 person making the coffees, whilst 3 other staff waiting to take orders or serving drinks when made. This is far too long to wait for basic drinks and therefore we decided not to order food once we were eventually served the coffee. In addition we were put off eating as one of the staff stood on a nearby table a number of times with outdoor shoes on in order to access the blackboard above. This just does not seem appropriate for hygiene standards . She did give the table a quick wipe after with a damp cloth but this was then put behind the counter so unsure of protocols here . Standing on a high table probably breaches health and safety standards in the workplace too

Been waiting to go here for ages, but was very disappointed with my food. While my partner got a piping hot burger, my tacos were freezing cold, and the tortillas rather stale. If they would be warm, I’d be happier as they were tasty. I didn’t mention this as it was quite busy and didn’t want to wait any longer.

Every time we come to nom the service is excellent & always with a smile. We also love the food there’s usually something a little different & interesting. Thank you! X

At the risk of just sounding like every other review, the manager and owner see super friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding and a great choice of drinks. A fabulous experience and well worth a visit.

A fine café, the atmosphere I would argue is their greatest strength. Calm, relaxed, clean. Perfect for sitting calmly and enjoying a coffee if that's what you need. The coffee itself is lovely, a good flavour without being burnt, a treat only found in cafés like this one. Staff were welcoming and friendly, the only thing I can fault is my fat fingers struggled to fit in the cup handles, but that's a skill issue on my part!

Visited without booking and managed to get in the menu is varied and not run of the mill the staff are lovely helpful and friendly and the food couldn’t have been better really worth a visit

Brilliant spot to eat. I have been here a couple times recently after going for a walk. First of all the staff are lovely and welcoming. The variety of food is great and i ended up choosing off the specials. I had a Korean pork belly and beef burger which was 10/10, can’t recommend highly enough. I’ve also been before and had the breakfast skillet which is also a great fry up. All the food is well priced and good portions. Thanks

Very much enjoy a lunchtime visit to Nom. It ticks all the boxes. Excellent menu & food, outstanding friendly service, relaxed atmosphere & usually. . . .rather cool music selection playing. Definitely recommend a visit if in the area.

We have eaten here many times, but last trip we brought my sister who is coeliac. She thought everything was excellent, and was very impressed with the quality of the gluten free meals. Her only regret? That she didn't live closer so she could come every Sunday for brunch 😀

Visited to see if they could squeeze us in on the off chance! So glad we did and managed to get a bar table. The coffees were delicious, plus one of the best Turkey & stuffing sandwiches I’ve personally ever had . Unfortunately the chef accidentally missed off the bacon , but the staff were really lovely and gave extra fruit and garnishing as a substitute on the cake slice . The environments very calm and aesthetically pleasing, overall couldn’t knock it & we will hopefully soon be returning. 🥰

Been 4/5 times and always had a lovely meal- the specials change regularly and always have a good selection. It’s quite a small place so would recommend booking as it’s very popular and does fill up. Very accommodating and friendly staff. The kimchi tofu rice is fantastic and the Italian eggs were great. They also do a lovely pumpkin spiced latte that can be made either standard or iced (good for me as I love iced drinks!) must visit when in slawit

Interesting and varied menu, charming premises, and excellent service.

We wanted a change of scenery from our local town, so looked at restaurants within 30 minute drive of our home. I have to say it was well worth the visit. We booked on line the day before. From the lovely warm reception, to amazing food. This was a great find. Great choice of food and drinks menu. We will definitely be back

Super menu, the staff is simply excellent! We’ve been to Nom twice now and the brunch menu is fantastic and there are plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options available, which is nice 👌 Alternative milks are available also (not only oat, which is a blessing! Thank you Nom 🙏🏻)

Delicious food and outstanding service.

The food here is eclectic and plentiful. On my last visit I had Moroccan eggs, without the eggs! So, chicken and vegetables on flat bead spread with a layer of labneh. They are very willing to adapt dishes to your personal taste, including vegan.

We visited for an early evening music slot and enjoyed both the performance (Lee Bardsley and India Shan Merritt) and the venue. Nom is a comfortable place to be with a good range of drinks, including cocktails. The only negative (minus 1 star) was the lack of bar food, which was limited to small, but well-filled bowls of unsalted cashews and peanuts. We noticed that other customers also enquired about food, so I expect that there's a demand - Nom stops serving meals at 4.00pm which makes sense when you're closing at 5.00pm, but this happens even on their late opening days (Thurs, Fri, Sat). So, Nom is a nice place to visit with an attractive menu (unsampled by us), good service and a relaxed atmosphere - just don't expect to eat after last orders at 4.00pm.

I consider myself an authority on burgers having consumed many of them all over the world. Today I had the best I’ve ever had in the UK at Ohm in Slaithwaite. The dirty burger was outstanding and made even better by sweet potato fries. Accompanied by Grumpy Mule coffee it was in a class of its own. Brilliant dining experience.

Visited for a coffee with my friend, pretty quiet so easy enough to relax in there. The coffee was a bit burnt so not totally to my liking but it was ok.

The staff were lovely and the vibes were immaculate. Food was delicious and coffee was good. The bathroom was very clean too.

The Nom is a lovely place with first class staff and management. The food is very good and the place is kept clean. The only small hitch is the very heavy furniture in the bar. It suits the surroundings but is simply too unwieldy for the space available. I still love the place though.

The service at this place is really bad. The staff are rude no pleasantries they act like you should be honoured to be anywhere near them. I changed my mind and asked to stay in instead of take out and he gave me such a dirty look. I asked if there was a charge and he said yes at this point looking at his face I didn’t want to stay in there.Tried it three times now for take out coffee and experienced same thing I won’t be going back despite the product being good.

Popped in here for lunch on a day visit to Slaithwaite. Would highly recommend! Lovely staff and vibe. Matcha latte was real Matcha and made perfectly, food was delicious. Lots of inventive food choices with interesting flavours. Would love to try out the rest of the menu. Thank you!

Could not fault OM from when we walked through the door till we left. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Good choices on the menu especially for one of us who if Gluten Free. The food was 5 star and well proportioned. We were only visiting Slaithwaite but luckily we have family living here now, so can't wait to return. I recommend booking even at lunch time

We arrived dripping wet after walking in the rain and were warmly welcomed. We had a beautiful brunch - jambalaya and fish/chicken tacos - and lovely coffee. The menu is extensive and interesting and it was so difficult to choose, so we’ll be back when we are in the area again. Thank you!

A summary would be amazing food, lovely atmosphere and perfect service. This is a great place to enjoy proper home cooked food. We had a combination for food from the normal menu and some specials. First the normal menu offered delicious loaded fries, perfectly cooked pancakes with nutella, the Club sandwich was packed with filling and the excellent OM Eggs Benny. Also from the normal menu you must try the Sweet Potato Bhaji's ! From the specials we had the Mac and Cheese with brisket which was wow but i loved my Sausage Grilled Cheese sandwich which was amazing ! Coffee was great and this is just a lovely place to eat !

Wow. £9 for some toasted sourdough and 2 pieces of salty bacon. My missus paid the same for bread and 2 poached eggs! Omlette with chorizo for our daughter was bland. I will pay good money for a good meal, this wasn't. If its hip its overpriced. Won't be going back.

Outstanding little cafe and yoga studio, came here on a recommendation and I was really pleasantly surprised. The coffee (grumpy mule) was really nice, and it's really rare to see cactus as a menu option, so I had to try the vegan cactus tacos and they were amazing, crispy and savoury, with a really nice balance of flavour and texture. Definitely stop by if you're in the area.

Always great, Ellie and the team are always super welcoming, the food and portions are superb, only ever had one bad experience, and that was my own fault! My only criticism would be for them to change the menu up a little, but that's being really harsh as I've eaten most things and they always have interesting specials on. Go, it's excellent, you won't regret it and if you don't like it, you know nowt about food!

Me and my partner regularly go to Om.. by regularly I mean weekly (atleast). It is by far our favourite place to eat, not only in Slawit, but in Huddersfield. The food is top quality, and the staff are so friendly. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

It’s always lovely. I’ve been going to OM since it first opened and it has always been consistently amazing. The coffee is the best in the village and the food is always so good. Well what can I say an ABSOLUTELY fabulous place !! We call in at least twice a week for a coffee or alcoholic beverage. At least once a week for food with my partner but recently have been visiting for lunch/dinner with family or friends. Excellent menu with plenty of variety and the portions are more than enough !! The staff cannot do enough for you, I hate to give on an amazing review because I dont want all the tables to be full on my next visit ! ! ! WELL DONE GUYS I

We go to om most weeks, the food is not your average bar menu, so is interesting and inventive, along with a reasonable selection of drinks. Hot and cold. The vibe is a great laid back feel with music to match. Staff are always welcoming along with great service.
