Absolutely fabulous meal last night This place is a hidden gem The three courses all cooked to perfection Service was impeccable Ben and the team are so friendly and make you feel at ease the moment you walk through the door Look out for their special set menu evenings well worth a visit ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We booked this restaurant after seeing an advertisement on FB, Its not very far from where we live so thought we would give it a go, so glad we did. This was a pre-order menu which is not a problem for us as its nice to know what we will be having, there was a choice of 4 starters 4 mains and you guessed it 4 deserts. When we found the restaurant it was at the rear of the Woolpack with plenty of parking but a tight gap between two building to get into the parking area.... or just park on the road (as we did). We were warmly welcomed by the lovely waiting staff and our order was checked with us to make sure it was correct, drinks came quickly and were reasonably priced ( lots of people bought bottles of wine and cocktails but I was driving...), then we were served with fresh bread and oil and balsamic vinegar(free). After this the starters arrived , I had the Franco's fried chicken Caesar salad and my husband had the creamy lobster risotto , both were beautiful but the risotto was packed full of flavour (I would have this next time). We both had the same main course Blackened rump steak with mango chimichurri sauce, chilli corn fritter, sweet potatoes fries, and corn on the cob, the steak was cooked to perfection and very filling, the whole dish was full of flavour, my only slight bit of feedback is that I would have liked the fritter a little more crispy but this is my personal preference. The deserts were next, I had sticky toffee pudding (I like to think I am a connoisseur of sticky toffee pudding as its what I always choose and I was not disappointed, this was beautiful with a lovely ice cream accompaniment, my husband had Chocolate brownie with pistachio ice cream and candy floss, again a beautiful desert. All In all a lovely menu cooked by a talented Chef (who took the time to chat to every customer after the service was completed, this was a lovely touch).

Went to The Barn for the first time tonight with a group of friends. We were so impressed. Lovely quirky little restaurant with a great atmosphere. Ben and the team are so lovely and welcoming and the service was spot on. The food was absolutely gorgeous. I had prawns to start - sublime. Then steak - perfection with a sauce that was so moorish I could have eaten a whole bowl of it on its own. To finish- churros- served hot and crisp with a dusting of sugar and cinnamon and a warm dipping chocolate - just divine. The rest of our party had goats cheese salads and chicken taco starters, followed by either steaks or sea bass. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We will definitely be going back. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

My son did a surprise 50th Birthday party for me. I'd never been before. I have to say The food was superb and the service from Ben and his team was first class. Dressed the place with balloons and pictues of my family. I had a perfect night and so did everyone else. I can't rate this place highly enough...

I booked The Barn as a surprise for my sisters hen party. Ben was very helpful and quick at responding to all messages regarding dates/menu etc before the event. The whole experience was amazing! Ben and his team were very organised, welcoming and professional throughout. They very kindly helped us to get some great group photos too! The food was beautifully presented and exceeded all of our expectations. The personalised menus that Ben had created for the table was a lovely touch! Thank you to Ben and his team for helping to make our weekend so special!

Our 3rd visit to the Barn. This time as a couple. The food was absolutely delicious, crunchy chicken taco, sea bass and that Thermidor sauce was amazing. As always cannoli for desert, my favourite . This place is a hidden gem and well worth a visit. Thanks to (award winning) Chef Ben and all the staff who are so lovely ❤️

Went for the street food on Friday 0n the 16/2/24, and was amazed by the quality of food, I had duck tacos served with potatoes and parsnip and pink peppercorn pakoras, others in our group had a steak sandwich, and halloumi sandwich. All was superb. Hope this is now a regular thing on a friday, well done to all staff, for superb food and great service

Just WOW, chef Ben has created a masterpiece of simplicity. Taking the best produce and years of culinary experience, he has created some of the most flavoursome dishes I have ever tasted. The venue is intimate but full of energy due to the fun and a modern take on old fashioned customer service. The service is first class but without being stuffy or looking like they'd rather be somewhere else. With a good selection of cocktails, beers and wines to compliment the food I can only give The Barn a 5star review. Thank you I will be back.

Amazing food, fantastic service and friendly staff - what more could you want. The quality of the food is unreal - The Barn regularly does special offers on the 3 course meals (which is a bonus) but wow - try and get that quality for that price anywhere else. The lobster ravioli and sticky toffee pudding are 2 must try dishes. Ben is one talented chef! Booked to go on Christmas Day - carnt wait.

I brought a service user for food and explained to a lovely member of staff Declan Stephen that my client is very nervous and he went the extra mile and sat us at a table in a quiet area and promptly sorted food and drinks out…What a credit to the Barn Declan is!!! We love this small but perfect little local restaurant. You need to book ahead and reserve your menu choices, so there’s no food waste. Staff are friendly but just don’t ask Ben for your steak well done!

Thanks to Ben and team for a fantastic lunch for my mum's 90th birthday. The venue was perfect for a private family party. Delicious food and excellent service by Lydia and Amy. They were both extremely attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Ben looked after us very well and the ambience was perfect.

Lovely meal, you have to pick what you want before you go as everything is freshly bought. Food was great although I personally found the rice (served with salmon) a little too spicy but that’s personal choice. Staff attentive, great service, food presentation excellent! Early bird menu was great value. Three interesting and tasty courses. My missus enjoyed her rose wine too. I didn’t mind ordering beforehand as it makes sense for a small, tight operation like this. The girls waitressing were excellent and Ben is, as ever, an excellent chef and host!

We held a private party at The Barn for 21 guests for my 60th birthday on Saturday afternoon and would highly recommend. Communication with the venue was excellent, food was delicious and the staff were very attentive and friendly. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and commented on what a lovely time they’d had .Ben went out of his way to cater for whatever we wanted and made the event very personal to us from choosing the menu , allowing us to trim up and adding our own playlist . A group of 18 visited The Barn last night for an early Christmas meal. I can honestly say it was probably one of the best Christmas Dinners in a group I have had in recent years. The staff were excellent and the Christmas Crackers were top drawer! Many thanks to Ben and his team and look forward to visiting again soon.

Little extras such as personalised menus and attentiveness to birthday girl contributed to making it such a special evening. First impressions are so important when arriving at a restaurant and this place excelled, Cosy, trendy and classy atmosphere with a warm welcome. From starters to dessert the food was to a exceptional high standard. You could tell the quality ingredients were cooked fresh and obviously locally sourced. Together with a fantastic choice of drinks including beers, wines and cocktails we were spoilt for choice and definitely not left disappointed. You know the service is fantastic when you don't have to attract the attention of the staff at any point during our visit, they had all our requirements covered from start to finish. I would say it's the perfect place to visit for any occasion being a special one or just some casual dining. Price wise for what you get it's a absolute bargain. A visit to The Barn is a must.

My first visit to the barn last night for the early doors menu. Started with smoked salmon with a side of homemade bread followed by rump steak with a beautiful pepper sauce. We have just shared our first Franco's takeaway, really lovely. The meal arrives in mostly paper packaging which is great (too much plastic in our world) The steak was cooked through rather than pink but still really tasty, the portions are huge. I had the chicken, all beautifully seasoned as were the mushrooms and tomatoes. Came with coleslaw as well but there was so much food on the plate that we put it in the fridge for another day. The Cannoli we had for dessert was really nice as well and served with a nice sharp raspberry coulis. All in all a really good meal, the only thing that let it down was the peppercorn sauce served with the steak. It was not a traditional creamy style sauce and left an odd liquorice /aniseed taste in the mouth.

Came to try this place as part of Eat Out Help Out scheme. What can I say, delicious 3 course meal with excellent plating, really enjoyed the food. I went to this restaurant with my friend! Really intimate and nice atmosphere. Staffs are really friendly. Quirky quotes on the wall made us chuckle. Limited menu but delicious food! Amazing service, amazing and cosy atmosphere it gave us a personalised feel and tucked away in the heart of almondbury. What a treasure for the village to have!! We came from Leeds as we’d seen such great reviews. The food really was something else and what healthy fresh portions as everything was cooked from fresh.
