Really good top quality comfort food for this time of year and good prices. Staff are really accommodating and cant do enough for you! Quiz is very entertaining. Good selection of spirits and good atmosphere. All in all a great place to go!

We had a drink and meal at the weekend and what a lovely meal and overall experience. It's a lovely atmosphere and decor to match. The staff are warm and friendly too and nothing is too much trouble. It's a nice place to sit outside on a warm day. It was full and very much the place to be in the local area. Highly recommended you don't need to look any further.

Had an early “Christmas dinner” with a friend. Good bottle of red wine and a 3 course dinner which I enjoyed very much next to the fire place!

Came here with friends. Farming friends. So they like a good square meal, none of this fancy nuvel kwizine (turns out everyone knows everyone in Yorkshire but 6-degrees of separation being 1-degree is a story for another day). Full disclosure - I know the new owner (and go and see The Blues Brothers show if you get the chance). Dinners were main course only. Steak for the lady and pies for the gents. Servings were .. well fit for hungry locals many of whom will be of farming stock (I may have mentioned that before). Food was piping hot and exactly what it said on the tin (menu). For me personally the pies were a little peppery, then again it suited the other pie-eater down to the ground (I'm a soft southerner on a visa visit to Yorkshire). The steak was BIG, cooked as requested and looked terrific. Apparently it tasted just as good and received a very big farming and farmers thumbs up. No deserts but a very reasonable bill at the end - this is primarily aimed at local people after all. OK so it's a bit out of the way. It's not an obvious choice but I know where I'll be going to when I feel in the mood for steak and chips and am out on a weekend pass in future.

No lift to rather inaccessible bedroom. Breakfast poor with poor choice. Exterior and location very attractive..

The Pavilion in Wilberfoss is run by Dougie and Alison who are a very friendly couple with good experience of offering what people want...good food, reasonably priced bar and regular entertainment. The food is freshly prepared and local produce is sought all of which is delicious. To be recommende.

We've eaten at The Pavilion on several occasions and always found a friendly welcome from Dougie & Alison. The food is excellent and very competitively priced. There are regular "events" including live music, quizzes etc. Good for a group meal.

Another superb Friday night visit by our family to The Pavillion Wilberfoss. Superb value food cooked by Alison always served with a friendly smile. I enjoyed everything I've eaten there whether it's been a summer salad platter, burger, bar food or a choice from the Friday formal menu. I enjoyed my steak so much I had it four weeks running. Locally produced Givendale prime! I've paid vastly more in some very expensive restaurants for a steak nowhere near as good. So a massive thumbs up for the family friendly Pavillion. There is a separate bar area with Sky TV where Doug is more than happy to accommodate football Rugby League viewers etc. Bar prices are very reasonable with Theakstons bitter & Stella.

Bit dingy lighting, given that the cafe is deep back to front. The teacake was delicious but only scantily buttered and not around the edges, so ask for extra butter. A serviette would have been nice. Taylor decaf tea was extra weak, ask for an extra tea bag to get a bit of taste

I was not looking forward to my lockdown birthday so you can imagine how excited I was to receive an Afternoon Tea from my daughter. The platter was brought to my door by Mrs M herself. It was beautifully presented and even had a Happy Birthday sticker on it. The food was delicious, I can honestly say that every mouthful was sublime. Highly recommended! It really made me feel special.
