Had a lovely sunday lunch at the Bramley cottage today. The food was excellent, the atmosphere was great and the toilets were spotless. Staff were very friendly. One member of staff called Sharmaine was extremely helpful, very friendly, polite and very efficient, nothing was too much trouble for her. Would highly recommend this establishment.

Our lunch was prebooked for 1pm for 23 people. The meals were ordered in advance so we expected to start the meal no later than 1.15pm however the first meal wasn't served until nearly 2.30pm and they came out between 2.30 and 3.15pm in dribs and drabs with the final meal being served at 3.15pm. The empty plates were collected from tables where only some of the meals had been served and desserts started to be served at 3.30pm, again in dribs and drabs. The food was good and not complicated - eg fish and chips, steak pie, veggie salad and the desserts even less complicated eg brownie and ice cream, just ice cream and also apple crumble. I don't know if they had trouble in the kitchen on that day but the wait for food was far too long and then the wait for desserts was similarly overlong. The pub wasn't busy and we seemed to be the only diners.

Since moving away from the area, it's been a good few years since last visited here, fantastic welcome by all of the young, enthusiastic staff who could not do any more to ensure that we had a great evening. Excellent food in the lovely surroundings, loved the addition of the outside bar and the street food served looked great. We will definitely be back when next down.

Started working locally to kaz’s filling station after working and getting all my food in Stratford. Every visit is a pleasure and food exceeds expectations every time. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch!

My friend and I went for a last lunch here today as The Forest has been sold and closes tomorrow. It will be much missed as it’s always had wonderful food, atmosphere and very friendly and professional staff. Hopefully the new owners can match the current standards. It’s main problem is that it’s position on the high street means that it has difficulty picking up passing trade as it’s easy to drive past while looking for the entrance and it’s a fair way before you can turn round! So, good luck with trying to solve that puzzle. So, we’re going to try the sister restaurant, The Chequers at Crowle...

We called to see if they could accommodate us with a table for 10, it was a last minute thing as we had just walked out of another restaurant after waiting 2 hours for a table we gad ore booked. I must say they were exceptional, really helpful, friendly and welcoming, the food was outstanding staff were really friendly and really made you feel at home, great atmosphere and surroundings, would really recommend The Royal Forester, a hidden gem
