Started working locally to kaz’s filling station after working and getting all my food in Stratford. Every visit is a pleasure and food exceeds expectations every time. Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch!

Friendly staff not to expensive, the food and coffee is ok but I have had bigger and better tasting sausage off another local snack bar in the area for the same price(just my opinion) it's open until 1.30pm on Saturday when others around town shut much earlier.parking facilities and looks clean inside.

First time going - we had come for a family neal but as soon as we walked in there wasn't much of a family restaurant atmosphere... it's very much a "pub pub" if that makes sense. Our children were the only children there and it was mostly men drinking and watching football on tv. We sat down, but then moved tables as a group of men sat next to us in order to watch football on the tv near (there are tv's everwhere!) They were so loud we couldn't hear each other talking at the table. I think when sports are playing, it would be nice to keep this to one area of the pub, not the entire pub, as it can really put families with children off, or those who aren't interested in sports. Food was average, not a lot to say other than that. We ordered two burger meals, lasagne and a kids chicken chunks meal. All got eaten. Prices were okay, cost just under £60 for 4 of us to have a meal and drink each. I felt this was a tad expensive when compared with similar places, but not hugely. Might be nice to have some offers going for food. The menus themselves could do with some updating, as they were just laminated sheets of paper. Toilets were clean and staff polite. We probably won't return as a family, but if you like sports or are out drinking with other adults, it's probably a decent place.

My friend and I went for a last lunch here today as The Forest has been sold and closes tomorrow. It will be much missed as it’s always had wonderful food, atmosphere and very friendly and professional staff. Hopefully the new owners can match the current standards. It’s main problem is that it’s position on the high street means that it has difficulty picking up passing trade as it’s easy to drive past while looking for the entrance and it’s a fair way before you can turn round! So, good luck with trying to solve that puzzle. So, we’re going to try the sister restaurant, The Chequers at Crowle...
