Just had the most amazing carvery , a truly wonderful meal. The food was piping hot, loads of choice and gorgeous gravy. The tables were very clean and all the staff were lovely. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you

Bacon absolutely horrible and under cooked. Girls working there to busy swearing slagging people off in the social life's. Very disappointed espically when they have put prices up aswell. Won't be returning for sure!!

Food is good always came out hot, staff friendly nice little bar. It’s always busy so try and book. Car parking and nice view on the golf course

This is a great little place for a relaxing drink and a bite to eat at the edge of a very picturesque golf course. George - who made us a couple of delicious vegetable pizzas - and Becky - who served us drinks and snacks - were both so warm and friendly and made us feel very welcome indeed. Thank you both. I can't recommend this little gem of a cafe highly enough. We will definitely be back!

We hired the bar and room for an 80th birthday party. A lovely room and the staff were very helpful with setting up before the party. The bar staff were very friendly and helpful, it was a very welcoming atmosphere. When we arrived to tidy up/collect our things the next morning, the staff had already tidied up for us. We would highly recommend.

Lovely relaxed breakfast, and plenty of it. I have been going to Greens for a number of weeks now and find the food excellent, the atmosphere to be cheerful and very efficient. Ideal for Sunday morning breakfast, and probably good for lunch too .

It’s been over 30 years since I last visited the golf course and only did so this time to have breakfast having read many good reviews of the past few years. It’s fairly big inside and was quite busy - like me there seemed to be many people just come to eat rather than play golf. The menu was good and had a nice go,f theme to the 3 cooked breakfasts - Par 3 Par 4 & Par 5 - I went for the middle one with a latte. Food was excellent- everything was well cooked and tasty with good rather than cheap ingredients- even the toast was made with premium bread. Thoroughly enjoyed it and it’s such good value too

Seems the council are take back ownership and therefore visited on the last day the current owners were serving breakfast. Par 4 and Par 5 were enjoyed and they never fail to keep us full for the whole day. I hope the council look into the feedback provided and open it up again (hopefully with the same chefs) and continue the great breakfasts

Been here countless times for breakfast and it never fails. Brilliant traditional breakfast and staff are very friendly. Can order different sized breakfasts and the biggest one is great for big eaters as it’s massive. Highly recommend!

Visited The Greens for lunch today in the middle of our bike ride from Hopwood. Not sure but may have changed hands. Had a bacon sandwich, cooked exactly as I had asked, crispy and a very nice latte. Service was reasonably quick too as there were quite a few people in for lunch and ..... the poor guy serving had his arm in a sling from a rugby accident. They have made some changes to the decor, on first impressions it looks a little dark.

fantastic place for breakfast, eaten here many times. we had friends come over from the States, we took them here for a good traditional English breakfast, they loved it.

Been here a number of times,I’m no good at golf but I love good food at good prices.They a great breakfast at a size that suit you, and the Sunday day lunch ,I suggest you go on an empty stomach,you can get better value for money anywhere don’t miss out give it a try you want be disappointed,enjoy

I visited on Sunday for breakfast with Family. The coffee was good but could do with bigger cups as some of it ended up in the saucer. The presentation of my breakfast was atrocious!!!!! At first I couldn't even see my fried egg as it was buried under a mound of beans😠 why?????? Surely a bit more care could be taken. They were just slopped on the plate instead of being just on the side of the plate. And it wasn't just mine they all came out the same. Sort out your presentation!

The newer owners have put the prices up, took a drink away from the inclusive price, put in the most uncomfortable cheap naff deck chairs, done away with the lovely comfy chairs, gone are the Heinz and and HP sauce and replaced with cheap generic sauces, it's now cheap catering bacon, the deep fryer is doing the sausages and a piece less of toast/bread&butter. Only the golfers will be eating brekky here soon. The place used to be rammed but this time we were the only ones in there. Seen cafes who adopted these scrimping money saving procedures not last long before. Hopefully the new owners will reinstate back to being the best

I eat here regularly sometimes solo and sometimes with a group of colleagues. The food is superb and the staff are always friendly and polite. The surroundings are very pleasant too.

Was recommended to go here for breakfast and was not disappointed! They are great along with the price! Not expensive at all. You may not get brilliant service but the food is fab. Will be back!

Really enjoyed our breakfast here after the school run. Friendly service. Lovely outlook over the golf course and good food. Will use regularly now we have discovered it. 4 stars rather than 5 only because my egg was a little under. My wife's was perfect though.

Visited for brunch with my Dad & brother who both ordered full English breakfasts

We ordered 2 decaf teas this morning and was served 2 decaf coffees, when I told the lady serving me, she argued that I'd asked her for decaf coffee. I politely informed her that I would never order decaf coffee as I don't ever drink it, she sharply said she would make the tea but I definitely ordered coffee. What happened to the customer is always right? We then ordered the breakfast with again decaf tea, when it came there were items missing from the breakfast and the tea was caffeinated. It wasn't busy either. Very disappointed, it used to be great.

Eaten here twice now for breakfast. Incredible value for money and superb friendly service. Amazing how many non golfers use this place. Don't hesitate when hungry.

This place has got to be one of the best kept secrets in redditch.We love the breakfasts here, Various sizes available, freshly cooked and excellent quality produce used.

This is a favourite with our family for either a quick drink whilst watching sport on thr big screen or having breakfast. Its always busy but the service is faultless and the food cooked to perfection. Definitely recommend!

We had heard how good the breakfast's were at the Greens Bar so called in to give it a try! Had the smaller "par3" breakfast which was excellent quality & value - will definitely return!

Been here a few times for breakfast and cannot fault it at all. The breakfast sizes are a very good and great value for money. Tea or Coffee and toast came with the breakfast.

This place is only about 10 minutes walk from the Town Centre, it's also my own local café. Yes, the breakfasts are very good; now I'll recommend something else.Look at the Menu, then if you ask for salad instead of chips - you'll probably be served the best fresh salad in the area. When it arrives it isn't just a few leaves of lettuce, and it isn't covered in salad dressing. [If you want Mayonnaise or salad cream you'll need to ask for that].Salad is definitely the healthy alternative to chips, - and those nice cooked breakfasts.

The breakfast and dinners here are great. Good home cooked food so I would recommend this place. They do great breakfats at reasonable prices and I have had a great sunday lunch too.

I was a little sceptical at first when I was recommended The Greens as a great place for a cooked breakfast. However I was very very pleased with the food and the speedy service! I would definitely recommend and I will continue to treat myself and my family to one of their 'Par' breakfasts. Yummy!

Never heard of this place but was looking for a Sunday lunch in redditch this popped up,on arrival first impressions looked a bit like a drop in centre but some people sat at a table told us not to be put off by the look of the place and try it so we did it's the best Sunday lunch we have had in ages everything beautifully cooked roasters to die for v big portions but just had to have a dessert they sounded so tempting I had black forest gatuex with home made ice cream delicious definitely going there again :-) x

4 of us decided to try this place for the morning after cure,we all had the par3 full house,food was excellent with bread&btter&teas only £16:00 every thing is self service but great setting,recommended

Lovely little place that does the most amazing breakfast! 100% recommend. Nice and quiet and the food comes out so fast. Breakfast until 2:30 which is a bonus as most places stop at 11 which is rubbish when you have a hangover!

Went for a quick snack had a very nice fresh egg sandwich and a decent cup of coffee.I have not given the venue top marks as it has a slight interior problem and could do with a mini makeover it could be lovely!!

Been a couple of times for breakfast and twice for lunch. Staff are very accommodating and priced for breakfast are unbeatable. I even asked for a prawn cocktail which wasn't on the menu and they accommodated this for me! the only problem SOMETIMES with this place is that due to how cheap it is and it is near the centre of town you do get some riff raff that are very loud and make you feel a bit intimidated. this is no fault of the owns though.

6 of us went to The Greens for a Fathers Day meal. We had the Sunday lunch which was reasonably priced and really tasty, just like a home cooked meal, everyone was very happy. we were not rushed and spent a lovely couple of hours chatting and could hear every word, no trying to shout over the other diners. The surroundings are quaint though not to everyones taste I am sure, but this is not Dinner jackets and bow ties, it's lovely home cooked food and good company done well. loved it and will go back.

Despite booking a table earlier in the week when we arrived we were told that they did not take reservations, not a good start. We were lucky a table became free. breakfast was excellent, good value for money and service was quick. Was it worth trip no, but would use again if was local. Place is not nice enough to go for sunday lunch.

We are regular visitors to The Greens for one of their famous breakfasts. They do a fantastic spread of varying size for all customers culinary desires.It is exceptional value for money quality & quantity is great & you never come away feeling dissapointed. The staff are friendly & helpful even when under pressure & busy which on weekends they often are.Recommend 100%.

This place was totally amazing everything is home cooked food Yorkshire puds etc. 3 choices of meat homemade cauliflower cheese the chef and the lady taking orders totally professional and very passionate about their custome HIGHLY recommended

I have been for breakfast at The Greens many times during visits to Redditch, it has always been of a very high standard and very reasonably priced. This time (October 2015) we actually hired the venue for my belated 40th Birthday Party. Everything to do with the party went extremely well from start to finish. On the night the staff were brilliant, the food was really good and plentiful, the drink didn't run out and was clearly well kept, the DJ suggested by the venue was really good, as far as I Know, all the guests had a great night. I really couldn't fault anything to do with The Greens.A very happy customer.

Dropped in on spec, and was greeted like an old friend! Had the tastiest Sunday lunch I'd had for ages. Every little extra was on the plate, and only £8.95. Lovely view over the golf course too. Highly reccomend.

Staff are friendly and helpful and will do anything for you. Bathrooms are spotlessly clean. Nice location by the golfing green, but think the description by Tripadvisor of 'bar and restaurant' is misleading and could give people the wrong impression of this nice place. Cooked breakfast is delicious and well-priced. Excellent value for money. Different cooked breakfasts to choose from, but staff were more than happy to make adjustments to suite us. Really hearty breakfast and will be returning here again.

I think 'restaurant' is somewhat misleading. This is not a restaurant it is more of a cafe that sells some alcoholic beverages. I was very unimpressed with the standards of cleanliness. The bar area was quiet but the tables were dirty and the bar Itself was very cluttered. Sugar lumps for the tea are left uncovered in a bowl on the bar which seems unhygienic. You have to ring a bell for service but I had to do this several times to get anybody to respond. Only one member of staff appeared to be working and when he did eventually come to serve me he appeared to be inconvenienced by the whole thing. I had the lasagna which was average. It tasted ok but nothing spectacular. It's about what I expected for the price though. I'd probably eat here again but I wouldn't make a special trip.

Having read so many glowing reviews on TripAdvisor, three of us headed here for a lunch one midweek day during half term. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t particularly wonderful, as much as I had wanted it to be.On arrival, there were only two other tables occupied, but the other tables were untidy, and some had empty dishes on them. We had to partially clear the one we chose to sit at ourselves.It turned out that there was just one member of staff working at the time. She was expected to clear the tables, take orders and money at the till, cook the food, and serve the food to the customers.Not surprisingly, the food took quite a while to arrive. When it did, it was fine – all cooked well, and priced very reasonably, but honestly no better than you would expect from any similar ‘café’.I believe, from reading other reports, that this may have just been an unfortunate time to visit, and that service is usually far better than this. But we can only speak as we find, and on our findings wouldn’t necessarily rush back for a second visit.

I play Golf at Picheroak every other Saturday and always look forward to their breakfasts afterwards. Good quality food and very good service.

We booked Sunday lunch for 18 people for my daughters 18th birthday. The staff we very helpful and friendly and were very accommodating to my very fussy daughter who doesn't eat meat. They cooked a special vegetarian option to go with her roast dinner and although a vegetarian gravy was not available, on request they rustled something up for her. The orders were taken, there was an option for up to three meats. Everyones order came as ordered with plenty of veg and cauliflower cheese for all. The roasts were lovely, great stuffing and all hot. We were so full up after the large portions that most of us didn't want desserts, however, the ones that did really enjoyed them, lots of choice and homemade ice cream. They even gave doggie bags to those who wanted to take what wasn't eaten. Would definitely recommend this place.

Have had breakfast here, which is the best in Redditch, with the family and it is a real treat. After a few visits we have started having the smaller breakfast which is still massive!!Have also had lunch a couple of times, the only downside is that there is sometimes quite a wait but then that's expected as they are always busy! Suggest going just before the rush for lunch and breakfast!

We visited the greens for Sunday lunch and what a surprise, considering this is really a golf course clubhouse, it was most welcoming and with a really friendly atmosphere. Sunday lunch is traditional fayre with a choice of roasts, the food is cooked to order and was out of this world. the portions were enormous and although the desserts were home made and appetizing I simply could not manage one. The staff are lovely and treat diners like friends. This is not a typical restaurant, as it is part of the clubhouse, but it was comfortable and inviting. Compared to the vast number of restaurants surrounding our area, this compares well and is excellent value for money.

Just had yet another breakfast at The Greens. Piping hot, looks beautiful on the plate before you start tucking in. Bread and butter included, and tea or orange juice. Both my wife and I go and she loves it too. I always feel a little sad when I've cleared the plate since I don't know when I'll be back again. (Tomorrow if I had my way!)

Saturday morning and talking to some people who had been to the Greens the night before and said how good it was. Just happened to be passing a little while later and we decided to give it a try. Very impressed with the staff. Very attentive and even found us a table even though it was very busy with lots of people waiting, even though we had not been there before the manageress realised that we were next. The Par 3 breakfast was very good and satisfying and included a cup of coffee. All round good wholesome food and very good value for money. Must go back soon and perhaps play golf as well.

Met some friends here for breakfast. Had lovely egg on toast and my daughter had a plate of porridge fit for a giant the others had lovely breakfastsLovely place to meet and chat. Basic but good

Right by the golf course on entering seemed more a cafe than a restaurant. However we received a very warm welcome and were advised that perhaps we might not need a starter as the main courses were large. That was not an exaggeration. The food was of very high quality and the main course was more than enough.We really liked the look of the homemade desserts but we were too full. Definitely a place we shall return to although will have to request a smaller portion.

As the title suggests, The Greens serves good wholesome home cooked food. The atmosphere is comfy. The staff are lovely, always helpful and friendly.I have only been here for Sunday Lunch which is always well cooked and presented, it's a real big plateful of food so go with a big appetite.

Always clean friendly and fast service. Food is freshly cooked and steaming hot not like some places where all cooked and reheated!! Would highly recommend for a brekkie to a Sunday lunch you won't leave disappointed even if not on menu they will do best to accommodate A*******

Myself and my husband were meeting our best friends for breakfast and decided to try the greens as we had never been there before to eat in. The blokes had par 5 and us ladies had par 4. It was absolutely amazing. Excellent value for the price and all cooked fresh to order. Will definitely go there again. Also my friend gave me some money to pay for some Avon and i left the £10.30 on the table and didn't realise until I got home. The waitress must have been pleased thinking she had a good tip. ☺ will definitely recommend x

I would not have thought of this tucked away treasure as somewhere to go for a light lunch but I was pleasantly surprised. I would rate it as good but that is unfortunately not an option on Trip Advisor. Lovely, freshly cooked snacks e.g. burgers and breakfast. Would recommend the egg on toast! A good range of vegetarian options are avilable. Nice setting and friendly service. Well worth a visit.

Last night my husband celebrated his 50th birthday at this venue. He had a wonderful night and we can not thank Paul Liz and their team enough. They pulled all of the stops out to ensure that Neil's birthday was a night to remember. The food was excellent all home made and presented to a high standard in very large quantities. So many of our guests commented on how lovely the food was. Paul and Liz were so helpful in all of the preperations nothing was too much trouble; The Greens is a venue that I would strongly recommend to anyone who is looking at hosting a special celebration. It was wonderful to return late morning and tuck into one of The Greens full English breakfasts this really was the icing on the cake.

The Greens is a great little cafe that serves and impressive very reasonably priced breakfast. Would highly recommend.

There is nothing fancy about The Greens, it doesn't pretend to be more than it is, which is kind of a golf club house for a municipal golf course. It has good views of the course, always busy and we've never had a bad experience yet. I go mostly for a breakfast with good friends or family. My friends tend to have a mega meal of a "par 3,4 or 5" breakfast whilst I generally stick to perfectly poached days with a toasted loaf of fresh bread. It's quite popular with a fair number of my friends from church and I would encourage you to try it, The Greens rarely fails but on-line is perfect, so if you've been let down, try it again and let them know if they let you down. :)

Don't think will be going back here again in a rush tbh. Food greasy and staff really rude. Customer service was shocking. I've been a waitress before and you should that your customers with respect. I know what we ordered and what came to the table was wrong! It's not rocket science! Sort it out!

We decided to go here with our two girls, not been before but heard good reviews. We had a half hour wait for our food but at 25 mins, the waitress came to tell us that our food will be out shortly as the burger takes a while. It was busy also, all tables were taken but other people were mainly having toast and light bites. The food, once it came, was brilliant. Great portions and it was nice and hot when it arrived. Yes it took a while but it was worth the wait. I had a breaded plaice and chips and the other half had a cheese burger with relish and onions. It was really fanastic. Definitely will go back again.

We booked here for lunch today, a party of five with two being vegetarian. Advising ahead of the dietary requirements the chef kindly offered to make a pasta bake or anything else preferred. Home made cauliflower cheese was requested and a generous portion was provided, enough to share between al of us if we wished! This was accompanied by huge home made Yorkshire puddings, roast potatoes, carrots and parsnips, mash potatoes, peas and leaks. Veggie gravy was also provided. For the three carnivores we enjoyed the roast beef and pork along with the home made gravy. The quality of the food was excellent with all of us feeling full and thoroughly enjoying our meals.This was our second visit here (as unfortunately we no longer live locally), the first being in May 2014 and I have to say that the staff were just as friendly and welcoming as the first time we came. Two of our party have eaten here more regularly and always enjoyed their visit. Reading the two negative previous reviews I can only wonder if their attitude and behavior influenced their experience....We will certainly look forward to our next visit to The Greens.

I was out with my Grandad and my mum having a pre-christmas lunch, as my granddad was due to go away over the Christmas period. Upon arrival we were informed that they were only serving breakfasts and not lunches. As we were hungry, and we usually enjoy the breakfast options we decided to stay. However we were left waiting for a total of fifty minutes, and even then my granddad had to remind them that we were still waiting. When we finally got our meals my mum pointed out that her order was wrong. The waitress took the food away and when we finally had the right order the most unexpected thing happened. The chef stormed out of the kitchen and quite literally began shouting at my mum! He told her that if she did not like his food then she could shove off, he didn't need her business, and that he was having a tough enough day as it was. I have NEVER seen anything like it. It was as though I were watching a movie. I studied hospitality and catering for a total of two years and this was the worst customer service that I have EVER come across. Dumbfounded, and suddenly not feeling too hungry we stood to our feet. Upon which he shoved a ten pound note into my mum's hand and told her that she could keep the change. The chef behaved like a terrible brute and is probably the biggest bully I have ever come across. My family and I have seen him yell at staff members before but never have we been the victims of his bullyish behaviour. He should not have taken out his frustration on my mum. We came out to gave a nice family lunch, we did not even think for one moment that we would have abuse hurled at us. P.S We've been coming here every week for 2 years. It's nice to know that The Greens really value their customers.

Not today it wasn't!! Oh no it definitely wasn't !! Please tell me that they were secretly filming a new series of Hell's Kitchen or some off the wall secret camera comedy show. A group of 14 of us from work went to the Greeens Restaurant for our Christmas Meal on the 12th December . I eat there regularly that is why I recommended it to my colleagues. From the moment we walked in and sat down by the roaring log fire our evening was off to a good start! We had starters ranging from deep fried Brie to carrot aand coriander soup and breaded mushrooms to main courses of roast turkey or beef with seasonal vegetables and huge Yorkshire puddings, followed by lemon meringue pie, brownies, Christmas pudding all with cream custard or ice cream. Followed by tea coffee or hot chocolate with mince pies.Each and every one of us were completely full to the brim with gorgeous home cooked food cooked to the highest standard .... a 5 star meal - well done Paul the owner and Chef!The food all came out on time and the staff were impeccable. All we want to know now is how can we book I for next years Christmas Meal.Would recommend The Greens food 100% If I could recommend end more than excellent I would.

Went to the greens tonight for a work christmas do. I had deep fried brie to start; 4 large pieces of deliciously melted brie with sweet chilli sauce and side greens. I ordered beef roast for the main; huge portion! But more importantly great quality and well cooked. Tender and slightly pink beef, fresh vegetables cooked al dented, very crispy roasties and yorkies. For pud, I had the chrimbo pud and custard. Others had the lemon meringue pie (cooked by Paul wife), and I overheard comments of "this is the best lmp ever!". Another option which proved so popular I asked to take a slice home for my other half, was a choc brownie. At this point we were stuffed, but then out came teas and coffees and mince pies. All this for £19.95!! Incredible! Great service and Paul received a well deserved round of applause at the end. One minor suggestion, apart from the delightful roaring open fire and a bit of faux greenery around a beam, it was distinctly lacking the festive feel (ie, no tree, lights etc). Overall... Me and my wife went for sunday dinner last week . Staff where great placed us at are table very quickly with are drinks . I just glad I had just a 2 course main and pudding . The main meal was epic a great bargain. Its everything u ask for a Sunday dinner all home made and to order .pudding was just the best wife was happy .

Cannot fault this place , always produce good food , friendly staff and quality produce, have not yet been in the evening but I would expect nice food

I went to The Greens Restaurant having heard the Lunch time food is good and a reasonable price, I was not disappointed, although it is quite basic in the Restaurant the food was to a high standard which more than made up for the seating.

My husband and I had the pleasure to celebrate our anniversary with family and friends last weekend at The Greens, and it was amazing! Paul’s excellent meals, which are all freshly prepared and cooked by him, together with the excellent service provided by Liz and her team made our evening one to treasure and remember for a long time to come. Booked the Greens bar & restaurant for my wife's 50th birthday party. It is a fantastic venue for a party. The staff are very helpful and friendly, will do anything they can to make the night special. The buffet was outstanding, all food was freshly made and they catered for all dietary requirements (which in our case meant Vegetarians, Vegans and Celiacs). I can't recommend this place enough.

Great service and lovely home made food at good prices. Went with a couple of friends and we'd read the positive reviews here and we weren't disappointed. One of my friends is the first to complain when we go out and send food back etc, but even she was impressed with everything. This is an establishment that clearly knows what it's doing.

If you are looking for a place to have a function or event in Redditch this is the place. It was relaxed and the food was amazing. Paul is a complete foodie and everything is home-made and he completely catered for our needs including two gluten free. Believe me you will not find this anywhere else in Redditch - the food was amazing. We used this for a funeral wake and he was considerate and I didn't have to worry at all - plus we took home so many leftovers and our guests did we have enough food to last the rest of the week! I cannot recommend this place enough. I have been going to Pitcheroak golf course for most of my life and it looks the best it has ever looked. Thank you so much!!

A friendly greeting and a delectable pint. The Ribeye steak was cooked to perfection with absolutely perfect chips, onion rings, peas and tomato. Tender and succulent in mountainous portions. Forget your pretentious overpriced would be gourmet pubs - this is home cooking such as mother used to serve up. Value for money.. superb. The mountainous apple crumble and home made custard to follow completely floored me. Diet has certainly gone for an enormous 'burton' tonight!Plenty of parking, superb views of the golf course.
