Cannot fault food, service, atmosphere. Dine there every Sunday and Christmas day. Absolutely delicious food. Lovely staff. Cannot recommend enough.

Excellent local pub with great pub grub menu. Make sure you book a table it's always full.

Came for a Christmas meal on Weds 18th December. Originally booked for 5 but 1 of our party couldn't make it. Rang to see if they could do a takeaway meal for this person and they very kindly did. The meal that we had on the night was wonderful and the person that couldn't join us was thrilled with his. Thank you for all the staff at The Bell and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁

We joined our friends for a Christmas lunch today & it was superb. It is a case of book up well in advance, pay a deposit & choose your menu, then turn up on the chosen day & enjoy. The staff were really friendly & helpful & the food was both excellent in quality & superb value for money. We all left the restaurant feeling extremely full & very satisfied with the whole experience. We have been here on numerous occasions & always enjoyed it but today it seemed even better. Thank you.

Visited this pub on the 1/12/24 and was amazed by the customer service provided here as soon as we walked in we were greeted with warm smiles We had a small wait for our table but waited by the bar and was greeted by a lovely bar lady who was absolutely amazing we ordered our food by the bar as we waited Once seated we only waited a few minutes for our food that came out piping hot just how we like it They had veggie options and meat both , my parents were amazed at the portion size , great portion of meat, veg on the side for them both to share Was very pleased that they had two veggie options and a veggie gravy Absolutely love experience , best customer service iv experienced in a long time

Decent locals pub. Had a solid HPA ale on test was well kept. I didn't eat there, but it looked good.

After my son told me about the Bell in Astwood Bank, he really rates the quality of the food there. So, on 14 September we had our very first visit to the Bell with family for my birthday 🎉 and had a really lovely lunch🥳 The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The service was excellent. The food arrived quite quickly & was nice ‘n’ hot! considering the restaurant was very busy! We had different meals. Hunters Chicken with new potatoes and salad (really delicious). Home made beef lasagne & The faggots meal. Again, everyone said how tasty & how much they’d enjoyed the food. Will DEFINITELY go back again 🥳 looking forward to trying other dishes 😉 Thank you to all at the Bell (Astwood Bank) Lynn & family (Studley)

The food was amazing. I had a Sunday roast. Huge amount of beef. Russell, the manager, is a credit to the establishment. Would definitely recommend and will be returning with family. Thanks to all the staff who were attentive and professional.

Just back from the Bell Astwood Bank. I had the mid week roast which was beef and plenty of it. Followed by sticky toffee gateau. Everything was really good, both the food and the staff. It's many years since we last visited but it won't be so long till the next time.

What a little gem! Food was awesome staff were lovely and has a nice outdoor area. Will be back:) Book ahead for food can get busy during lunchtime as they have a good deal on for senior citizens

Popped in for a pint after work before making the trek back home. Very friendly staff at the bar, lots of places to sit in the garden & it was a nice day, brill.... Seemed a lovely friendly atmosphere in the bar area too with wot seemed like a few local people, good bit of banter for a Friday evening 😎

I have to say I love the food at the Bell, but most of all I love the way they welcome you, make you feel at home and treat you like family. Thank you for making my mother in-laws 95th birthday a lovely memory for her. We all have had a lovely day .

Lovely meal today with my family. I love the way they split the children’s menu into small and larger. Perfect to ensure one child is full and the other isn’t wasting food. Russell and his team give great service and very good food. On this (pre-Christmas) occasion, the car park was full, and the pub was busy and therefore noisy, hence the slightly lower star rating.

Just returned from an excellent festive Christmas lunch at The Bell. Room looks lovely - not over the top decorations but very attractive. Table set with seasonal serviettes and crackers. Busy and happy buzz from all around. Orders for drinks taken immediately and promptly delivered. Starters - mushrooms/ soup great with quality hot rolls or bread on the side. Main meals, meat and veggie, excellent. Generous portions, hot, properly cooked and not slushy veg, great roasties. Puds equally good followed by mince pies, choc and coffee or tea. Waiting staff very friendly and efficient. We thought the value for money was incredible and will be back ASAP. They deserve the support they are clearly getting. Thank you.

Stopped as passing to try a lunch time menu. Pretty good choice with set menu and very reasonably priced. Excellent cask ales and nice selection of wines. Staff are exceptional and extremely helpful. Will try evening meal next. Lovely old pub. Second post. Recently did family meal,quite busy, excellent cask ales 6x and HPA. Good selection of starters,homemade soup very nice. All the food was well presented and all piping hot. Gammon one of the best. unfortunately only one faggots left, have that next time. Staff friendly always there when you needed anything. Pays to book in advance as busy early evening. Definitely returning.

Went for lunch, and we had meals from their "golden oldie" menu, which was very good value for money and in quality too , the drinks were as well. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Went "on spec" and although very busy managed to get one of the last tables which also "speaks volumes" about the place.

Lovely attentive staff, home cooked food on the table quickly at a very reasonable price. Accompanied by a well kept pint of HPA . Nice choice of food and so refreshing not being a part of a chain of restaurants. Sometimes you honest home cooked food and here you get it .

Clean and quiet pub. The food is average to above average depending on what you order. The cheese ploughmans was disappointing. It was grated cheese and a small multi grain roll. The staff however, were excellent and accommodating.

We have long been coming to The Bell, we used to love the real homemade pub grub. However, prices have increased considerably and yet standards fallen in equal measure. I don’t wish to be too critical of a local pub that I have long supported but it’s just not the same. I would have gladly paid increased prices if the home made tradition was maintained. Booking was done over the phone and got a slot easily enough. On arrival, we greeted to our table where we had a pint and then ordered our food The food prices were exceptional considering the size of food we had. Super fresh and full of taste! Really well looked after.

It was great to have a choice of gluten free food as I am coeliac. My friend and I both really enjoyed our meal.

Second visit in few weeks. Good choice in lunch specials, I had steak & kidney pie with saute potatoes, peas & separate jug of gravy, very enjoyable! Stepdad had ham, egg & chips (ham very thick cut so he found it bit difficult to eat, but sure other diners wouldn't have had a problem). Followed by banana split (which he loved) & I enjoyed trifle which reminded me of Birds Instant packets (happy childhood memories!). Pleasant ambiance & staff. Very good value.

Fantastic food great hosts ..and always friendly

We went to the Bell for a works reunion and all seven of us enjoyed a great evening. The pub inside is spacious, and on the Friday night we went it was very full with diners. This is obviously a reflection of the good value-for-money pub food on offer. Our orders were taken promptly and arrived in quick time. Most of us had the breaded mushrooms to start and they were delicious. One of us had the Nachos to start, and it has to be one of the largest portions you’re likely to see. Amazing. The mains were equally as good, freshly cooked and nicely presented. Some of us had fish and chips (the fish was large and nicely cooked), the lasagnes and generously filled fish pie were also nicely presented and went down very well. The only thing to let it down ever-so-slightly was the puddings were a little hit and miss. My one friend’s trifle was a bit like the kind of desert that used to be served at children’s parties in the seventies (rather sloppy with squirty cream out of a can and no fruit). But another friend said her profiteroles were nice though. Drinks were very reasonably priced, with a bottle of house wine costing under fifteen quid (a good price for a restaurant). The service was very attentive and smiley and we didn’t feel rushed into leaving at the end of our meal. All-in-all it was a great night and we’ll probably go back again if we hold another reunion in Astwood Bank.

I would actually give this 3.5 Stars or a 'good' review, as it wasn't really 'average' and wasn't 'very good'. There were 7 of us for a works reunion. I had breaded mushrooms to start and they were ok but a little tasteless. I had lasagne for main course which was adequate, a little dry perhaps and hardly any bechemel sauce but it was perfectly edible. The garlic bread was the best bit. I didn't have a dessert but some of the others did. Our one friend couldn't eat the trifle. It looked like a 1970's version of an instant Bird's Trifle complete with hundreds and thousands sprinkled on the top. She did tell the waitress when she came to clear the dishes that it wasn't very nice. My other friend had the meringue which was basically a bowl of smashed up meringue with a spoonfull of berry compote on top. None of the other desserts looked particularly appetising so I'm pleased I didn't bother. It was OK here, not the worst, and it certainly isn't expensive. If you're hungry and just want cheap eats then this is fine. It's probably all bought in 'ready to cook'. Personally I probably wouldn't eat here again.

A charming small pub with an excellent well priced menu, the clientele are on the older side in the restaurant but the bar has a good social mix. The food is well presented and the drinks menu is good

We arrived on spec at The Bell with my parents for our regular evening out and were lucky to get one of the two tables that were not reserved. What a gem of a restaurant! The menu was really good, prices were very competitive, the toilets are amazing and the service was second to none. The staff could not do enough for us! We have dined and many venues and I can honestly say The Bell is worthy of a 5🌟 rating. On every occasion we have dined here the service has been fantastic. The staff work very hard especially the main waitress. They are all very friendly and very polite. The food is always piping hot and in my experience no other eating establishment in Redditch manage to achieve this. The food is always cooked perfectly and you get a real feel of home cooked food. Look forward to our next visit.
