The best restaurants serving British food in Birmingham West Midlands

We have visited this pub every week to meet friends and have a drink, the problem now is that they are always running out of drinks that are the staple of all pubs!! No wine, Guinness, etc etc Really think that they as in the management obviously don’t have a clue The staff are lovely and deserve better.

Locals pub. They seemed friendly enough, drinks OK. Some bald guy called Carl was hogging the pool table and never bought a drink all night while I was there!

What an afternoon, it could have been 1am in a Club the atmosphere was rocking... well worth the money....

Been twice in September and each time there was am item missing off my sandwich despite having paid for it. Won't be going again

The customer service here is second to none! There are lots of different choices for the pies, including several vegetarian options. You really are supporting someone's dream which is always wonderful, especially in these times. Thank you for your service, we will be back for more pies!

came in today with my friends and ordered off the a la carte menu, it was great. chloe g was our server and she was lovely, gave great recommendations. will definitely have to come back!

A proper city boozer - traditional with a modern feel.

Best carvery to go to. Just don't go on a Sunday. Booked for 3.50. Got seated at 4.10. Finally sat with my meal at 5.05. The que for the carvery was wrapped around the pub. Certainly wouldn't of waited if I had kids.

We went to eat on Saturday 9th march at around 2pm Have never seen such a rude ginger haired waitress - behaviour was like she was giving us food for free , barking at you like she was doing you a favour by serving u. I’m sure she gets paid for her job she definitely needs to go on an intense training course how to speak and how to deal customers Absolutely disgusting behaviour

Fabulous scrambled eggs and sourdough bread. Good quality sausage, but far too big for me. The mushrooms tasted a little old. Lots of choice of sauces, including a peppercorn mill. Nice cappuccino. I ended up paying £4 extra, as the girl on the till didn't understand what I was asking for. I asked if I could swap the black pudding for something else and she said it was fine. I asked if I could swap it for bacon and she said I could. She then proceeded to add an extra £4 to my order for extra bacon. A little miffed, as that wasn't what I asked for and I didn't need that much food. A lovely selection of high-quality cakes available. The setting was rather average and could do with being refurbished into something that looks a little nicer to reflect the prices charged for food. Quite a noisy place when it's full of people and too noisy for me. The toilets were outside and they were tiny and freezing. No radiators were on, despite it being winter. I'd go again, but I'd have to check to see if the cashier understood what I was asking them first before playing.

So we rang up late afternoon Saturday to see if there was a table for two and to our surprise there was so we booked it and arrived for 6pm. So we were seated under the TV which wasn’t really the best as they had the football on with sound too. Ordered popadoms no spoon with sauces and couldn’t catch the waitress eye to get one. Food came which was fine. We went to the bar twice and ordered the same round. Both rounds were two different prices…. Strange. Had to remind her to rectify bill for this. We have used this pub now for years and have always enjoyed it and even struggled to get in at times. This visit was not the same there was no atmosphere as there usually it and it wasn’t very busy either for a Saturday. Not the same vibe which was a shame
