Myself wife mother in law granddaughter 2 1/2 , and family came for a meal tonight , disgusting food ,the service well the staff looked liked tramps , didn’t think the offers worked right either40percent off your bill, and waiting for the granddaughter pudding don’t go there waited 45 mins , got to be new owners got to be , normally this establishment is bang on

The staff are amazing great service from them and food is banging

Ordered 2 pints of stella and were amazing The location is perfect right next to a park and its a great place for drinks and hang out Service is top notch and waiting times are 5-10 minutes

Ordered two cocktails here, I am 18 years old so of course was asked for proof of age which I was absolutely fine with, but then a member of staff checked my provisional license and asked "is this real?" - so of course I assured her it was - as it definitely was real. She then asked her supervisor to look at my ID, she barely glanced at it and did nothing to try and work out if the license was indeed real, such as holding it up to a light or asking me about any of the information on the license. She then rudely threw my license back on the table and said "this is fake - I am not serving you" - which is especially shocking considering she seemed to be some form of manager/supervisor and yet had no manners towards customers. Originally, I was told my ID seemed fake because there was something "off" with the colour, but the supervisor then compared it with someone else's provisional license and the problem was no longer the colour, but the fact that it was "raised in the wrong area" - which was inconsistent with what I had previously been told. I even mentioned that there have been changes in the design of driving licenses, which may explain why mine might have looked "off" as I have owned my license for years - but the supervisor was not having any of it and completely dismissed my attempt at trying to resolve the situation. She kept repeating to me "this is fake", which felt extremely accusatory and hostile. I completely understand the importance of verifying age and challenge 21, as a waitress myself, but the way I was treated by staff was extremely rude and would not recommend this service to anyone. It's a shame because I have been here previously, and been served alcohol with the same ID (which is real), and the cocktails and garden were nice, but has since been ruined by the bad manners of some of the staff.

Fantastic venue Hosted a baby shower at the restaurant the staff looked after us. And all guests. My daughter mummy to be was delighted she said "it's perfect to celebrate my baby girl" everyone ordered food/drink from bar & app. Our favourite little pub... Held baby shower 4th may 2025 at court oak pub. From start of booking and having the baby shower was easy. We paid for room £20 then if you order from their buffet service you get room free we chose to let the guests buy their own food. All our guests brought food/drink by app or bar.. no complaints food and service fantastic. We could get in early to set up. We forgot scissors and lovely bar staff found some. Nothing too much trouble. Baby shower went so well. Everyone was delighted on room size and food was enjoyed by all. We would like to thank everyone for their help and kind words all staff were lovely. Everyone enjoyed themselves Everyone came to look at how room was set up and lots of lovely comments about the cake which I had made for my daughters day.

Great cooked sizzling steaks for my party of 4. Lovely sunny afternoon atmosphere too. Will deffo return and highly recommended 👍

On a sunny day most places look good, The Court Oak is a look and more importantly feels good. Now it's lunch time so I don't know what it's like in the evening. You have space inside and out of the pub with a well kept outside area shaded areas and little huts.....nice. We had food and it hit the spot. Just enough, plain and simple but very nice and at a good price. I will visit again, a locals, local. Keep it going.

Been here a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the place. Fantastic manager and staff. Callum and the staff are so polite and welcoming. Adam remembered what we were drinking, great observation and made to feel so welcome. Thumbs up to all the staff and the food never disappointed. Will definitely be going back and will recommend to friends and family. Great job guys

Back again, as I recommended the court Oak I saw no reason not to call again. Nice classic mixed grill today. I was informed I had a 40% discount in the app. I also got a free pint for collecting stamps for loyalty in the app. Great staff, great food.

Only had coffee but seems very 👍 nice. Want to go back for lunch.

Used to be a nice friendly family pub, now it is the opposite, rubbish food, unfriendly staff that stick to there own let anyone in that cause trouble not a safe place to take your children!!!!

We visited here today 14/2/25Well what can i say , the staff are lovley, the place is clean and the food is amazing so compliments to the chef !!! Compared to our local sizzling pub which is just horrific (blackhorse illey lane ) this 1 deserves a massive hi five .well done guys p.s forgot to take pick ov food but empty plates are a sign it was fab !!!

What a lovely place!!! All I can say is that the staff were incredibly friendly and the place felt as warm and vibrant as I was expecting. I was told about the Court Oak from a few family friends and it did not disappoint. The drinks and food were both on point and the tall ginger chap made us feel right at home. Will definitely be visiting again

Reasonable cheap food. Homely atmosphere

We went to attend a Birthday function. We had steak one was ok, the other was leather. They put onion on a sizzling plate making it burn and give off strong onion smelling smoke everywhere. Everyone smelt of onions. Maybe dont put the onion on the base of the plate next time. Its the first time I’ve had a steak on a sizzling plate , so it continuos cooking , smoking and ended up dry. To be honest my steak was already dry before it hit the plate.

Great local even better in this weather with one of the best gardens around

Solo me gustaría agradecer a todos por hacer que nuestra Navidad sea muy especial, desde el desayuno con Santa , hasta nuestra cena de Navidad. Nos cuidaron bien y la comida era excepcional. Fue perfecto de principio a fin.

Nice food for an affordable price! I have been here a fair few times and each time I have not been disappointed. The staff are friendly and the food was brought out quickly. There is also a great selection of drinks to accompany the meal. I ordered a Hunter's chicken which was served with a healthy portion of chips, tomatoes and peas. The chicken was flavourful though the cut was a little small. I have also tried their breakfast which is by far my favourite!

Well Thelma is force to be reckoned with she's snappy and likes to make decisions that we found out she was making up... Establishment is very good service and was quick at the bar. Think if you can run the gauntlet of facing Thelma she did kinda put us off but we stayed firm. Lovely outside area.plenty of seating inside ample carpark.

La pechuga de pollo Hunters era un cuarto del tamaño de una pechuga comprada en una tienda, las empanadas de hamburguesas eran incluso pequeñas también. La cerveza era la favorita del piloto junto con Guiness, Timothy Taylor y uno más. Quería una cena no un aperitivo, así que el 25% de descuento no era ninguna ganga, todos fuimos a casa por algo más para comer.

Dear me, shrinkflation is getting out of control. Firstly there has been a good sized price increase on all the menu items but portion sizes have been cut down way too far. We went home and I ate a bag of crisps and some sweets, others went to the kitchen for some snacks. Not what you want to do after going out for dinner. Hunters Chicken has a quarter of a chicken breast, buttermilk chicken burger and the beefburger should have had 50% more meat. Cheap sides seemed to be a reasonable size.

Fabulous place to visit, myself and friends visit quite often , Food is always fabulous, and the staff are wonderful, very helpful, polite , both behind the bar and on the floor.

We was with family celebrationing a 4oth wedding anniversary and a birthday. The food was not very good and we had to send it back because the burger was raw in the middle, the chicken wings was hot on the out side and cold in the middle. We were not the only table complaining. One of our party spoke to the manager and she appoligised and gave a full refund.

Went to The Court Oak a couple of weeks ago. Food reasonably priced with good deals. Food came fairly quickly, and was hot from start to finish. I would definitely recommend.

El otro día vine a cenar con mi hermana. Pedimos sizzling halloumi, salió pero estaba rodeado de algo, suponiendo que el agua sin embargo la camarera era comprensiva y lo tenía resuelto para nosotros, ella era muy disculpado y al final nuestras comidas y postres eran encantadores. Volveremos.

Lovely pub, friendly new manager. Very approachable. It's been cleaned up over the last few months. Staff are always cheerful and polite. Lovely gardens for children to play and for a drink in the sun. Highly recommended.

Group of 15 gathered for an evening meal, we pre-ordered - staff were efficient, friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious and hot, it arrived speedily and excellent value for money. All together a great experience

Good pub,food good. Few dodgy locals giving stares. Staff good. Beer average.

Popped in for lunch as we were passing, order flat breads, halloumi and a side of fries. The flat bread and the fries were cold, the halloumi was grilled on one side and the other side remained a very pasty white. There is so much choice in the area we won’t be calling in again.

Went for my wife's birthday ordered a share starter got my main meal then the starter came out very strange spoilt the evening meal didn't like bingo going on as we had our meal to noisy

Went for lunch with my partner and sat outside due to it being a nice day. After our meal we was talking and I slightly moved my seating position and the whole table tipped up sending me on the floor and my drink to go everywhere, and could of easily of landed on me. Was totally embarrassed as other customers laughed and made comments about being drunk. Left as what should of been a nice afternoon with me partner turned into a total embarrassed. Told staff about table so hope this gets sorted as this could of been very nasty and if it had been an elderly person god know what injuries that could of received.

Had a family meal out, most items were out of stock (who doesn't have fries), tried to order a cocktail missing ingredients so had to order something else. Ordered food my burger came with tomato seeds on and cheese which I requested to not have on mine so looked like the tomato was picked off of it! The dessert wasn't all too bad almost broke a tooth on a hard piece of cake though 🤦‍♀️. The servers were lovely however the customers! They were ever so rude, I was wearing a dress and heels to look nice as the meal was for my birthday and I received many dirty looks from old men and one of them even tutted at me although all he was doing was drinking beer at the bar so 🤷‍♀️. When we went outside to leave another 2 men decided to dirty look us so the customers are very rude. Wouldn't recommend unless u want to be judged

Proper pub with great food options

Ive been to this pub previously 3 or four times and was quite appalled at the standards this evening,for my birthday meal. We were a table of 8,they brought all our meals out and different times,with long times waiting,the starter came out AFTER the main....there was loud music playing and kids running around...i wont be eating here again...shame really it was a lovely place.

what’s made the pub go downhill so fast? no organisation waiting time for drinks at the bar staff stood chatting while there’s a queue I love the garden but I won’t be coming anytime soon

Really awful . It was hired for a wake.they were supposed to cater for 40 people at a buffet but only provided food for 30.Food provided was badly prepared,not labelled,no vegan option provided as requested.it was all cheapest brown food and tasted like it had been fried in dirty oil.Not a sign of salad and no spoons for dips.The area provided was next to the toilets so strangers kept coming into the area.Very disrespectful treatment and expensive.Made a difficult day worse for my family.I would give 0 stars if possible.

I've frequently visit this pub on many occasion and always enjoyed the food but unfortunately brought severally members of my family but I was terribly disappointed as all the food came out dry and over cooked I don't think I will go again on a Sunday it's a shame.

I do love coming here, especially in the summer and the food is always great and comes out quickly too. Staff are friendly however it does get a bit frustrating here waiting for a drink on the bar. You'll be waiting in line and staff members end up serving regulars or maybe people that were waiting after you. Its good here but mainly due to the food ans good vibes.

Felt compelled to write a quick review on this place having visited recently with my wife for a quick Sunday lunch. Not offering a review on the food and drinks (which were great and well priced) but a review of the customer service experience. We struggle to recall ever receiving a warmer welcome and generally uplifting attitude from the staff we met from the moment we set foot in the place. For those locals who frequent this establishment, it will be no surprise to them that the double act of Sharon and Thelma are responsible for creating our compulsion to write such a review. We do not wish to disregard any of the wider team, but these two are simply wonderful. Alongside their strong communication skills, their general demeanour exudes a level of customer service far beyond our expectation. It is extremely difficult to find people who are internally motivated like this but most importantly, are able to effortlessly transfer some of their positively to customers they interact with. Needless to say we left with a big smile on our faces and will be going back for sure !

We came in for some lunch and we were served by Ruby on the bar, it wasn’t so busy on bar so we had a lovely conversation with her, my daughter couldn’t decide what she wanted and so Ruby gave some options on things she may have liked and was very understanding about it, food was also very nice i had the sizzling tandoori it was delicious. We will definitely come again !!

It was the first time I visited this place. I was really impressed with the way the interior design was. I ordered fish and chips, and it was just yummy. The only downfall I came across was that the staff seemed to look stressed and not communicate effectively with customers. Furthermore, the male toilet cubicle did not lock as the lock was broken. Other than that, I had a lovely time there.

I went out for a dinner with two other people and the overall atmosphere seems quite nice as you walk in but unfortunately the customer service of the staff is lacking. We ordered food and drinks which took a while since there was only two members of staff behind the bar on a busy Saturday which we understood. We then had two of the three meals (both lasagne) brought out to us with no cutlery shortly followed by the two bowls of chips and one bowl of undercooked fries. The third meal (mac and cheese) still hadn’t came out after 10 minutes neither did the cutlery so we had to ask for some from the staff member who brought out half our food and was stood chatting with another colleague while the food got cold. When we asked where the third meal was there was no apology or explanation just a simple it will be out soon. We had to ask for the food again after another 10 min as we wanted to eat together and was given a very rude and unprofessional attitude and response from the same staff member she then waked off. The food was then brought out half cooked and lukewarm clearly the chefs had forgotten about the final meal and just brought out the first two way before. This genuinely wouldn’t of been as much of a problem if there was any apology or explanation but she was just completely disrespectful and had just a complete lack of care. They didn’t even check to see if the food was okay and avoided our table completely. The only redeeming part of our visit was the shift manager Connor who did in fact apologise and refund the meal for us as it was inedible. We are really disappointed with this visit as we really enjoy the sizzling brand and have never had this experience before.

Went for lunch today food was nice but service well don't think anyone knows what they are doing. Got our food with no cutlery got that sorted out & we also ordered & PAID for a pudding which despite the wife going up the bar & reminding them it never came (so ripped off for that) after an hour & 20 minutes we got up & walked out. Table opposite had to go & remind them they ordered coffee, table behind with 4 ladies asked for teaspoons, they only had 2 to give them. Total & utter shambles won't be going there again, 2 stars were for the food service would be a minus

Stopped here on our way home after picking our daughter from Uni.. The place has a nice warm feeling and large menu choices to please even the fussiest eater 🤣... Staff are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

Never been here before. Have passed several times on way to the Q.E. Should have stopped before super friendly with good selection of beers lagers and wines etc. Food was good too. I had a mixed grill which was more than enough with steak being very well cooked to my liking. My other half had a Halloumi burger she enjoyed it too. Will definitely re visit

What a lovely place to spend a couple of hours having a drink and a good meal. The decor of the pub is lovely - smart and modern but very comfortable. And sitting by the blazing fire was a bonus for my wife. The food was served quickly and was delicious. Prices are very good. A real bargain in fact. A really nice visit.
