Took the family for a meal a few weeks back, everybody really enjoyed the food, location was ideal for us and the staff were great especially Sam, the girl that looked after our table. Definitely worth checking out.

Nice group of friends met for a birthday lunch. Good food. Occasionally, staff struggled with the layout of the restaurant to see when we requested items. However, we weren't rushed, which was nice, and the staff were genuinely friendly. Will visit again soon.

We visited Browns Sutton Park on Mother's Day this year, also to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the food and our young daughter enjoyed the entertainment. The service was excellent, our server Téa was lovely. We have recommended Browns to our family & friends.

Tried here for the first time on sat 5th april. Overall the place was nice, nice atmosphere, we enjoyed the food which was very tasty. However, after finishing our lovely meal we asked for the bill and the card machine. The young lady bought this over to us, when my partner paid she quickly flashed the card machine at him, which he never actually got chance to see the amount being charged, he paid and because of this asked for the print out receipt. The bill was £63.07 and the print out receipt was £81.09. Luckily he did ask for the receipt, however when he tried to call her back over, she ignored him and walked off back to the bar area. So he let another member of staff know and we asked for a manager, who then proceeded to come over apologised, and refunded us the difference. Its not alot of money but it is besides the point, we find it hard to believe this was a mistake as they were completely different amounts, and the fact the young girl also didnt return to apologise, so alls i will say is if you are visiting here, check your receipts and make sure you are being charged correctly!

We had a table booked at 5.45 we had to wait for it, till 6.25. We had looked at menu while waiting so ordered immediately. Did not get food until 7.30. There was 7 of us and it was mothers day, but it wasnt as busy by then. 2 hour almost waiting. Food was very good though!

My second time visiting the food was lovely,fresh and hot my only criticism is once seated on both occasions you are waiting about 20 minutes to place at least a drinks order and we had to go and find a waitress in the end understandably the restaurant is very big and extremely busy the staff were professional and friendly and the waiting staff were very accommodating especially as they were literally run off their feet kudos to the kitchen every dish was a win

I went here with my wife and two teenage children. There is a really nice ambience and you are greeted with a warm welcome. The last time we were here it was a Toby Carvery and they have completely transformed it into an upmarket restaurant. We were shown to our seats and were seen by our waiter (Evan) who explained the range of drinks that the bar had to offer. He was incredibly attentive throughout our dining experience. To start with i had the crab on toast which was delicious, my wife had the crispy mozzarella and tomato salad, my daughter had the sticky BBQ chicken skewers which looked delicious (and she said they were) and my son had the salt & pepper squid which was super! For the mains i had the 10oz Ribeye (M/R), this was absolutely sensational - like cutting through butter and it definitely melted in the mouth! My wife had the mediterranean inspired pan roasted cod which looked amazing; my daughter had the Brown's Burger which, again looked amazing and my son had the lobster linguine which was sensational! For dessert my son had sticky toffee pudding, my daughter had the chocolate Brownie and I shared a cheeseboard with my wife along with an Irish coffee. We had a bottle of red wine, a couple of lagers, a couple of cokes and my daughter had the elderflower royal cocktail. Personally, I'd have given the service more than 5 stars as our waiter, Evan, was brilliant throughout. He was attentive, pleasant to talk to and explained everything about the menu. I did toy with the idea of not giving the full 5 stars as it is very pricey but you do get what you pay for and all-in-all we had a great time and would highly recommend.

Me and my mum visisted Browns today for my birthday, Gabor made our experience great from start to finish, he even brought out a plate to celebrate my birthday! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was fantastic. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Would recommend booking and sitting in conservatory......our table was poor ....Sat in walk way and next to dog walkers (no issues with dogs ,) but not ideal when you are dining . We were also upgraded to VIP as we were celebrating a birthday....but never gained anything on the upgrade ?....I think we were meant to but no body acknowledged not sure just marketing I guess.

Great location and a nicely designed interiors along with an outdoor seating area. Pleased to have this quality restaurant in Sutton. The menu is varied along with a big selection of draft beers, cocktails and wines. Everything our table ordered was enjoyed. Looking forward to another visit as there is plenty on the menu I would like to try.

We held a memorial meal (lunch) for my late brother on Friday 21st March at Brown's in Sutton Park. Amber and John were both very friendly, helpful and supportive in the organising, including finding a suitable section of the restaurant and providing a big screen for the photo montage. Samantha served us very well for the meal itself. All the guests were pleased with the food and service. I was very happy with the helpful support I received, particularly as it was a very important family event.

Well may I suggest you review your gluten free range. Had 2 crab on sourdough from the bar menu 1was supposed to be gluten free. Unfortunately my friend has spent the last hour being sick and feeling crap. Either they were mixed up or not gluten free sort it out please

Just wanted to say a huge thanks to Grant who looked after us , we were 1st placed at a table for 2 that we didn’t like so asked to be moved and were offered a table in the consolatory which was ok but not a great start . We then felt ignored at this new table and had to ask for some service and then Grant camo over , thank god he did he elevated the afternoon , personable , friendly and only 17 years old , well grant you are wasted as a runner and need to look after the customers , great service and will be back as long as Grant looks after us , he’s worth every penny .

Absolutely brilliant - a real treat

7 of us dined here for my daughter's birthday on Tuesday evening at 6pm. The food was lovely and there were no complaints. However the service was very poor. We asked to see the gluten free menu as my daughter sometimes tries to limit her gluten intake, but we informed the staff that we didn't have any actual allergies or intolerances. My daughter eventually decided to order from the main menu rather than the GF menu. She was then told quite abruptly that since she had asked to see the GF menu, she had to order from it. We repeatedly told staff that she only wanted to see the menu and was not actually gluten free. Eventually they accepted this and let her order what she liked, but the whole group agreed that the attitude and intensity of the member of staff we dealt with was not appropriate. The service was also very slow, we were there for an hour before food orders were taken and the food itself took a long time to come out. Overall the whole meal took us 3 hours for 3 courses. Food was beautiful but would only come again if the service improves.

Thanks to all the team at Browns for helping me host a funeral reception. The room was beautiful, the food delicious, and the service attentive and courteous. Would definitely recommend.

Great Sunday lunch for my Wife’s birthday. Pianist playing was a nice touch. Crystal our waitress was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Nice touch on the Happy Birthday slice of cake for my wife.

The refurbishment of the establishment was beautiful and being local to the area myself and my family were looking forward to trying it out. However we never even got as far as receiving a round of drinks. Having been shown to our seats, we waited approx 20 minutes before deciding to order our drinks directly from the bar. My partner was intercepted by a waiter on route who consequently took our order then vanished (we presumed to get the drinks order we had just given). He then returned to clear tables and my partner asked if our food order could also be taken, the response given was that this would be taken once our drinks arrived. My partner then witnessed him seat other people, take their food orders and deliver their drinks. At this point we walked out. The restaurant was busy but far from full. We felt invisible and perplexed as to why we had been so blatantly ignored and other people seemingly prioritised above us. It is obvious that more staff training is required.

I was with my friends in browns Sutton for drinks and then we end up having lunch, and we had such an amazing time also good food,I want to mention especially our waitress Monika she gave us amazing service and good cocktails recommendations,also she was funny and professional,we will definitely come again

Exceptional Service and a Wonderful Lunch Experience! I had the pleasure of visiting Browns Restaurant for lunch with my other half, and I must say, it was a fantastic experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and taken care of by Monika, who was absolutely superlative. I am allergic to lactose and I always appreciate extra attention to detail, and Monika went above and beyond to ensure that my meal was safe and enjoyable. She was incredibly kind, gentle, and attentive, making sure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was lovely, and the service was impeccable. I truly had a great time and am already looking forward to coming back. A huge thank you to Monika and the entire team for making our lunch so special.

Just 2 of us for breakfast, we got sat quickly, not very friendly waitress took our order, asked for a change of sourdough to normal bread but I was told they only do sourdough, so I asked for pitta as they serve shaksuka and pitta goes with that… she very sarcastically replied we don’t serve pizza we are not a pizza restaurant and tried to laugh. 🤷‍♂️hmmmm Anyway after that we were served by a couple of a lot nicer staff. So thank you . Sausages are cheap and dry, bacon is very similar to Wetherspoons, very thin an chargrilled marks on it Coffee was nice and very nicely decorated Wouldn’t return

First visit to Browns. Very disappointed as it was for my birthday celebration. Waited 30 minutes to order ( I finally flagged someone down) Ordered Sunday lunch ( beef) only to be told 10 minutes later there was no beef or pork left (at 4pm) Ordered schnitzel which was ok but the fried egg was so hard had to send it back. When someone came to check if everything was alright I said No but they took no notice and went off! Obviously took the 10% service charge off the bill and was not asked why. So disappointed and would definitely not recommend

Ordered a takeaway and picked it up, firstly the app doesn't work for this restaurant. So I called them up and placed my order. When I got home to try my food, the steak meal was missing chips and mushrooms, ruined meal for me. It wasn't filling enough with the chips and mushrooms missing. Definitely won't be trying them again, however they've done an amazing job of renovating the building.
