A great little place for coffee, light lunch of paninis and cakes. Good outdoor seating and perfect while exploring Corsham high street.

5* service. Best fish & chips in Wiltshire. All the negitive Nancy's reviewing are either not genuine or just out to cause trouble.

Just a stop here for dinner, 1pm. Myself and my dad. What a lovely dinner. We sat in the conservatory which was nice even with the sun full on. Lots of space, big beer garden and a great view too! Really friendly service. Parking seemed little limited and can fill easy when busy. Tight turn into the car park to so take it slow. Best chips I had in ages here, really crispy batter on the fish my dad had, and the onion ring side I had too. Glazed bacon was lovely. Might just be my new frequent dine out along with the Bell just down the hill a little further.

Absolutely dreadful! Advertised a la carte menu replaced with a 'bar' menu. Took the waiter 15 minutes to bring a menu and ask if we'd like drinks 40 minutes for food to arrive which was not hot. The pork belly my colleague had was wrapped in gooey fat not crackling, the pumpkin sauce was a teaspoon of orange 'something' and the seasonal veg was mashed potato and some peas. The chicken burger was deep fried and tasted of old fryer fat as did the 'tepid' skin in chips. Presentation of the burger was non existent and the two tiny leaves of lettuce were brown. This was fed back to the waiter when he finally returned to our table his response was he'd mention it to the Chef. The after dinner treat of sticky toffee pudding was solid and rubbery, not moist. The tiniest bit of ice cream and a token gesture at the sauce all was tepid. The dining room was cold and drafty. The decor tired and wall paper peeling off the ceiling and walls. Utterly awful experience with nobody interested in the overall shoddiness of the service and food. Really disappointing, especially as this is the closest hotel to work. A real missed opportunity for this Hotel and Restaurant.

Unlike previous reviewers I found the staff helpful and patient while answering my (many, many) questions about the pastries sold. Visited on two separate occasions and had excellent bread and pastries both times. Bread rolls and bread itself were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The Scotch pie was filled with well seasoned meat. Lacock lardy was outstanding - sweet, sticky, multilayered and full of sultanas.

We booked a wake/celebration of life at The Bell and the team were so accommodating with arranging this, that at such a difficult time in our lives, this put our minds at ease that everything was catered for. We had the barn to ourselves with lovely refreshments and could personalise this further with our own playlist and decorations. The team made sure we were looked after throughout the time we were there. I would definitely recommend The Bell Inn for any occasion.

We’ve been here a few times in the past year and it doesn’t get any better, we put the first time down to an off day but it seems like every day is an off day! The atmosphere is dull, the tables and chairs are crowded and dirty. You could eat a meal with the amount of food left in the ‘cleaned’ high chairs and on the floor. The food is uninspiring and the staff give the impression they really don’t want to be there (one chap at till just walked off from doing our order because he seemed a bit overwhelmed with a few drinks) The tables are dirty too, it just needs a bit more care especially when it’s a place that charges over £5 for a toasted teacake!! Which is nearly twice the price of other places. I think Whitehall have fallen into the trap- of resting on their laurels, relying on their past achievements and reputation and have stopped trying to maintain their previous standards (this goes for their various seasonal events too) . It all seems a bit greedy and lazy, the fact they haven’t improved the dreadful overflow car park in years speaks volumes too!

If you’re looking for a dining experience that tests your patience, this restaurant is the place to be. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service was an afterthought—if it was even a thought at all. Lucinao barely acknowledged our presence, taking his time before leading us to a table. We soon realised that appreciating our presence was not a priority here, looking more annoyed than welcoming, and took our order with the enthusiasm of someone being forced to work against their will. Attempts to engage were met with either complete indifference or eye-rolls. And when we politely pointed out the his attitude, he became rude and arrogant, bordering aggressive. By the time we left, we weren’t just disappointed—we were genuinely amazed at how a restaurant could function with service from this abysmal. Would I return? Only if I wanted to relive the worst customer service experience of my life. Save yourself the frustration and eat somewhere—anywhere—else.
