This is the Cafe that used to be 'Mortimers' so was keen to see if the slow service had improved......it has! Attentive staff and plain but very good food served quickly and in a friendly different atmosphere. Well done! New Owners ! We will, and already have, been back !

Lovely friendly staff and great atmosphere. Went in for coffee, which was lovely and saw so much good food coming out of the kitchen, decided to stay for lunch. I had the Italian Club Sandwich on granary bread and it was one of the best sandwiches I have ever had. Well worth a visit.

This is not a review of the ice cream parlour which was closed (probably due to Covid-19). The same people run a trio of cottages to let, Oak, Ash and Sycamore. I stayed in Oak with my family bubble and we had a lovely time. Great facilities and close to some fantastic Exmoor walks, so lovely to go somewhere different after lockdown that was safe. Very clean and well looked after, nice wood-burner for those chilly April evenings. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, cooker, etc. all you could wish for.

We went for a weekend break to Dulverton and booked in for a late Sunday lunch at 1730. The food was fabulous. One of the staff told us that they cook in batches to ensure you have a fresh roast. We had to just give them the heads up the day before for our main. IT WAS THE BEST ROAST BEEF AND PORK BELLY we have had for a long time. The veg was out of this world and paired with an Exmoor Ale I was in heaven. A sweet later and a cheeseboard saw us into the first ever quiz night. Great fun! Lovely locals made us feel very welcome. A truly great British pub!

We stayed in the nearby camping site in our motorhome and whenever we can like to eat locally. This place is so close that you can enjoy a few pints of their lovely Guinness and local ales leaving the wheels behind There is a menu on their website and specials on the board by the bar The bar maid is very friendly and gave my wife a taste of the local ale to try before plunging for a pint she might not like We both ordered the steak and ale pie and wow it was HUGE and so tasty Very dog friendly pump Recommended that you book a table as it can get very busy Tony,Shelley and Holly the mutt

We visited the pub as we were staying on the campsite close by. The Land Lord was friendly enough but the place looks like it has seen better days, plants on the window cills with cobwebs on and lots of plastic flowers! This place could do with a good spring clean inside and out particularly the ladies toilet which was black around the edges. We didn’t eat here, there were people eating but for a weekend it was empty, such a shame!
