This is the Cafe that used to be 'Mortimers' so was keen to see if the slow service had improved......it has! Attentive staff and plain but very good food served quickly and in a friendly different atmosphere. Well done! New Owners ! We will, and already have, been back !

Best breakfast we have ever had.All the produce was fresh and local extremely tasty! It was also very well cooked and good value for money at £7.50. Really impressed. It was also great service and loved the quirky Alice in Wonderland setting, a lot of attention to detail and effort gone into this tea room. We didn't try the cake, but they looked delicious 😋 Looking forward to our next visit.

What a great find for brunch. We loved the themed decor and our meals were spot on … baguette with sausage bacon egg and black pudding Freshest bread and top notch ingredients. Plus ham eggs t chips. Yummy ham off the bone and a very generous helping of chips. Top ups of tea A friendly vibe and a continuous flow of customers. We loved it and very reasonable. Dog friendly too ! 5/5

Can’t recommend John and Karen’s take on Lewis Carrol’s famous gathering of gastronauts more highly.? The themed interior is a delight, especially for anyone has has taken their children through the rollercoaster of Alice dream. At every turn there is something else to notice beyond the obvious Hatter and effigies of other characters. The multiple large cotton wool clouds are a great example of the ingenuity, visually appealing but also acting as muffles to reduce background noise. But no eatery stands on decor alone, so what of the food? Large choice, the rarebit with blue cheese and mushrooms was exceptional and had we not popped in on day 9 of 10 we’d have made are way back to Dulverton from Porlock Weir for another nosh. Karen and John, and their staff are friendly and welcoming. Dogs are super-welcome, too. If you’re anywhere near Dulverton, this place is a must
