We decided to stop her for a spontaneous mother's day meal yesterday evening. Despite being in a services on a main road it is delightful. Some nice outdoor seating and really cute 1970s style diner done really well (it's owned by the Lounge chain). As a family of gluten free diners eating out can be a challenge but there was an amazing separate menu. Really delicious burgers, and ham, egg and chips. Will definitely be returning. Attentive and friendly staff with a special shout out to our server who had my youngest son in stitches. Will definitely be returning. Great if you're local or just visiting the south West.

Food could have been better, lacked taste however it could have been due to what we ordered. Staff were kind and attentive and the atmosphere was really cute and suitable for celebrations and date night. Decent spot to go for food in exeter and good location.

I come to Sidmouth fairly regularly for art courses. Dukes is a fantastic place to stay for a single person; they have single rooms. Great standard of accommodation and the staff are wonderful; I have felt so welcome, and looked after- the staff actually remember me. Cannot recommend highly enough. Also very good prices for the sea-front location.

Super food and nice atmosphere. The add on stellar service from Jake Stokes in the Bistro who really knows his wines and enhances the experience. Reasonably priced and great quality. Can only be very heartily recommended. Building in general is very interesting too.

Very pleasant place to meet my girl friends for coffee and pastries too, but we wanted just a lighter lunch which was great and sensibly priced. I know they had teething troubles when they first opened, but now well worth a visit. Becketts cocktail and eatery bar is a real asset too for Exeter, with beautiful decor and views, so other friends have said.

Booked here for a dog-friendly breakfast. Really great food & even better service. Had the full English & salmon & scrambled eggs. The breakfast starter of building your own yoghurt with granola, compote etc was super nice too. We sat inside as it was a little chilly but there was a very cute outside area for dining which would be lovely too. Would recommend.

I was in for a beer with the boys, waiting at the bar. Having a nice time while waiting for a Guinness to settle, a young lady came up to question her pints of Coca Cola being flat. The member of staff was happy to change them, however for some reason, I am guessing the manager, got really annoyed and lost his head. The young lady was very polite and didn’t get angry. He shouted at her saying it was her fault for not having ice or lemon in her drink. The pub was very busy, so maybe they ran out? Personally, I’ve never heard of that. Just seamed like a strange reaction and really awkward to watch. However, I had a good pint of Guinness and my mate enjoyed a nice pint of Jale Ale. It was a shame how that manager shouted at someone. It completely ruined my experience. I won’t be coming back if that’s how he treats customers! Plenty of other bars in the same area
