Service was great, very polite, very enthusiastic Food was nothing short of stunning, very much agree with the comment of "Michelin-Star quality at under £30". Had 3 courses (Crispy Whitebait, Steak Sandwich, Chocolate Brownie) and a drink for £21. Very good for price Very suprised by the presentation, very excited for future generation of chefs and front of house!

Husband saw a review somewhere recently which said best bacon bap in Exeter was from Buttylicious. Had to visit furniture store earlier today which is just down the road so thought let's give it a try. What an amazing choice of food at very good prices but decided to stick with our original choice. Three very large thick slices of lovely bacon in a soft bap. Had to go back to the lady to say how lush the bacon was. We will definitely be back but not sure for what as so much to choose from. Maybe a cheeseburger as another customer was just being served one and it too looked delicious. Don't anybody think this is just another butty van in a car park, it is so much more!

Great selection of quality sandwiches. Picked up lunch for a party of 7 and everyone loved them. Sadly all were pre made and custom building not available, but nevertheless great

Indeed, again, my professional careers and training as well as educational experiences within five countries in Catering/private Service/Telecommunications/Customer Service/Retail/Care usually gives me the correct insight on quality in services (so I have been told by many people). The prices seems reasonable. The food quality and cooking are ace! The service is sweet and the athmosphere is very "English soothing" like for enjoying a great English breakfast. The only minus? We asked for half of the full size for breakfasts, two teas and one coffee and it seemed a bit stiff money wise. Especially as I did mention it was my birthday and I, my self, would have at least given two free hot drinks (I learned that in France and Southern California in commerce, which is, do holistic gestures towards some customers as that is a good retention move for them to come back as much). Still, Sally is just a golden nugget of a cafe owner and her staff walk their talk in service: merci!

I was invited to a birthday party this weekend and found myself at a bar I’d never been to before—and won’t be visiting again. While the private party room was pleasant and we managed to create a good atmosphere, the bar itself left much to be desired. To start, the drink quality and pricing were absolutely outrageous. I ordered a Gin and Tonic, which is my usual choice. They used a bottle labelled Gordon’s, but I am certain it wasn’t genuine Gordon’s gin. The tonic was an unnamed, inferior brand. They served this in a small 200ml plastic glass and charged me an extortionate £7.90. Knowing that my body reacts poorly to cheap alcohol, I decided to switch to a bottle of Prosecco, which cost me £30. Although the Prosecco was mediocre at best, it was a slight improvement over the gin. I can’t help but wonder why so many young people in Exeter end up unwell after nights out, given the poor quality drinks sold at exorbitant prices in some bars. For me, this bar is definitely one to avoid in the future. I haven't tried any food, and I wont even going to try.

We have been coming here for over 30 years and the standards have remained excellent for every visit. We live 90 miles away, W-s-M, but make any excuse to have a day out in the area! The fish and chips are faultless, along with fantastic service. Always pleasing to be served by the top lady who i hope she won't mind me saying was there, a youngster then, for our early visits! All round excellence at sensible prices. Visit if you can!

Breakfast was really tasty however we asked for an extra toast and they charged £5 for 2 slices of toast and butter which is extremely overpriced.

Popped in for lunch after walking the dogs at Steps Bridge, a truly traditional village tea room, a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, small, select menu of panini’s, jacket potatoes, cakes and afternoon tea’s, all freshly prepared to order, absolute delight of a find, will visit again

The atmosphere on entry is the first that hits you as you enter through what was the old chapel. The decor and history of the dinning area just bursts with originality. The way they have have created a fine dinning area within a 18th century hospital ward is both dynamic and inspiring. Then came the food... We started with three small plates which just burst in a beautiful combination of flavour and texture. Myself and my partner both had the flat ironed steak with perpercorn sauce, vine tomatoes and broccoli- done to absolute perfection! To finish off we had the miso caramel custard tart which exquisite. All aspects of the quality of the food, ambience and presentation were bonded by one final thing....the staff. The staff were absolutly brilliant, helpfull, professional, supportive and efficient. The young manager who assisted with my partners nut allergy and wine recommendation was so helpful and very friendly - my thanks to him! Then attending our table was the lovely Janis. Janis is one of those people you hope to meet in life, someone who loves people and is a mirror of who you want to be. She made us feel as if we had come into here home for a beautiful meal. She was warm, freindly, charming, helpful and made the evening for us. Thank You everyone for a great Valentines Evening. Robert & Carol xx

Overpriced £3.90 for half pint of Camden. Awful loud music
