Fantastic food as ever last night in the @34, great to see the college working with alumni and outstanding local businesses to support the next generation.. fantastic

A brilliant atmosphere, exceptional service, wonderful food. This really is somewhere a bit special and the young local people are inspirational.

What a wonderful evening. Great company, delicious food and excellent service. The freshly made bread, cod starter and a top-notch fillet steak were very much enjoyed. Not forgetting the strawberry soufflé and petit fours that I managed to squeeze in. Thank you.

Fantastic well presented food at an event this evening. The staff were well trained and pleasant, the food presentation was excellent and the taste spectacular. Blown away by the standard of food and service! Attended a night run by alumni who are now working at Michelin * restaurants - a testament to the quality of the students the college produces. You cannot go anywhere in Exeter to get such sublime food - Michelin quality at less than £40! Already booked again for next month and can’t wait to see what magic they produce!

Visitamos ayer con otra pareja y comimos del menú de Navidad. Teniendo en cuenta lo ocupado que estaba el servicio de cena, nos sentamos rápidamente y nos presentaron menús de bebidas y comidas. Las bebidas se servían rápidamente y ofrecían una buena relación calidad-precio. Los entrantes eran pequeños pero muy sabrosos, los platos principales se servían todos juntos y todos estaban preparados y presentados muy bien. Tuve el pudín de Navidad para el postre, que tanto me gustaba, que compré uno que se estaba vendiendo, 2. 50. En definitiva, bien hecho a todos los involucrados en preparar una comida tan encantadora, junto con un excelente servicio. . . Definitivamente regresaremos chicos.

We've ate here probably 5 or 6 times before over the last 3 years and it is never disappointing. The food is always amazing and the value is incredible. The students do a fantastic job as it must be quite daunting at first.

El restaurante del Exeter college @ 34 sirve diversos menús y eventos temáticos. La comida es de las mejores que he probado en mi vida. Los estudiantes ayudan al chef en la cocina o son meseros y cambian regularmente los roles que creo hasta que encuentren su lugar. Esta es también la academia de alimentos Michael Caines, donde los estudiantes se nutren para convertirse en restauradores, chefs, gerentes de restaurantes, etc. Los cursos son pequeños pero exquisitamente presentados y tienen un sabor fabuloso. Hay un bar completamente abastecido, se ofrecen cócteles especiales y todo tiene un precio muy razonable.

Nuestra primera visita a este encantador restaurante y no me decepcionó. Nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos cuando entramos en el restaurante y la camarera fue educado y tomó nuestro pedido muy rápidamente. Los tres platos fueron presentados muy bien y lo más importante sabían delicioso. Recomiendo encarecidamente que cada uno visite este restaurante si disfruta de buena comida y precios extremadamente razonables

Primera visita y sin duda no será la última. Fuimos un grupo de amigos y todos disfrutamos de una buena comida, bien presentado en todo, servido por un personal amable que generalmente estaban a la par con los estándares que esperas en un restaurante decente.

Guau. Hemos visitado este restaurante esta noche y tenía comida realmente fantástico. Aunque el menú era limitado (un menú de tipo), hicimos saber de antemano. El menú El restaurante está situado en el colegio y el menú es preparado por los estudiantes. (Las luces en el restaurante es un poco brillante, sería bueno ser más velas o algo así). Tuvimos una gran cócteles gin 3. 50 cada uno. La caballa amuse bouche era encantadora y muy bien presentada. Pan casero en el lado también. Nuestra mesa de cuatro tenía terrina de mejilla de cerdo y bacalao carrillada para empezar, y ambos estuvieron deliciosos. Todos optamos por el skate para el plato principal que estaba perfectamente preparada. La piña y el postre de coco era refrescante y ligero. Terminamos con petit fours y cafés. También había una botella de vidrio (más un extra) de Sauvignon Blanc y una botella de sidra (además de los tres cócteles al principio). Toda la factura era de £105 para los cuatro de nosotros, incluyendo bebidas, gran relación calidad-precio para la calidad de la comida y las bebidas incluidas. El restaurante también hizo un esfuerzo muy bueno para proporcionar alternativas gratuitas sin gluten, hicieron casero pan sin gluten y nos obsequiaron con diferentes versiones de la petit fours para asegurarse de que aquellos eran sin gluten - apreciado. Nuestro servidor de Rob fue muy amable y atento, agua y vino recargarla durante la noche. No sorprende que el lugar está lleno, sin duda volveremos.

Como este restaurante escuela el estándar de la comida y el servicio puede variar. A lo largo de los años de ir aquí (30+), honestamente puedo decir que nunca he tenido una mala comida. He tenido cosas que no me gusta, pero nada de malo con la comida. Yo diría que el servicio es lo que necesita trabajar ya que a veces te dan un servicio muy atento e informativo sobre otras veces no en absoluto. Esta noche, cena de verano finale, la comida era buena pero el servicio no era bueno.

Three top quality courses for £8.50 for lunch. The food was excellent and a limited menu did not matter at all. The waiting staff were closely monitored and doing their best.

We went to an 'Inspired by Devon' evening. 6 incredible, well designed courses. We were both a little nervous about the menu and both cleared every plate.The staff were fantastic, all polite, friendly and helpful.The standard of the restaurant, food and staff was that of a top restaurant and really could not be faulted. I am totally blown away by the standard knowing that it is a training restaurant.Highly recommend.

Brilliant food and very attentive service team! Came here for a themed night and the restaurant was full we had a table for 4 booked but there was five of us and this was very swiftly sorted for us. The drinks order was taken and our drinks followed, through the evening our water glasses were consistently topped up and more wine was offered at every occasion.The food was fantastic great skills shown by the kitchen team with presentation and flavour of the dishes, everything was eaten until the petit four which we couldn't manage but they offered to buy these in a takeaway tub which we accepted and have just finished the last ones off! Brilliant evening had by all.

So we visited @34 last night, we were a large party. It was £25 per person for the set xmas menu. This was ok. The choices of food were ok and the quality was excellent, the Turkey Wellington was so tender and really worth the money. The price of drinks was very competitive, this is always good. However, we were seated at 7, and a place setting was missing so 12 instead of 13 which seemed to confuse the staff slightly who told us that we only booked for 14. But this was sorted after about 10 minutes. A drinks order was taken and drinks took about 15 minutes to arrive. The appetiser came out at 8 pm and was very nice. Then a starter followed at about 8.30, a few changes were made and they seemed to handle this ok. Time was ticking away nearly 9.45 and with no contact from any of waiters/waitresses we had to go to the bar and ask for someone to come over and take a drinks order and ask where the mains were??? The waiter responded and said there was a checking error and they would be out soon, a few of the party aired concerns about the fact no one had bother to tell us this. Another waitress came over and told us the kitchen staff were just slow. Perhaps a simple apology and being kept informed wouldn't have gone a miss.Mains finally arrived at just after 10pm and despite the huge wait, they were very nice, portions good sized, presentation nice and taste very good. By the time we had finished mains most people had left and the pace picked up, desserts orders were taken before the table was even cleared, but never mind, the table cleared and then a coffee order taken and desserts showed up around 10.30 then coffees and the bill about 10 minutes later followed by security telling us we had to leave. I fully understand this is a training restaurant, everyone has to start somewhere and I hope this feedback is used is a constructive way but I feel that the restaurant manager could, and should have provided good service to show those that are training how to give great service. I work in a business and service is one of the most important things to a customer! And a little bit of good service can go a long way and would have done on this occasion.Thank you.

This is the restaurant of Exeter College catering department. Therefore staff are in training and well supervised. We went at lunchtime where there was a choice of two or three dishes at each course, each course priced separately. Unbelievably cheap, well presented, and delicious. Starts and finishes a little early for us as we are late eaters, but whenever we are in Exeter and we can we will certainly be using this again. We both had the baked ham with sauce, saute potatoes, and lovely vegetables. Started with a homemade scotch egg salad, on a bed of tomato salad and the tomatoes had been both peeled and concassed, Amazing! For a final indulgence one of us, not saying who, had the blackberry pavlova. The price of this wonderful meal? £12.70 for two!!!!!!!! without drinks

This Restaurant is attatched to Exeter college, and all of the food and service is provided by the students on the Michael Caine cookery school overseen by their tutors.The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented.portions may appear small, but I can assure you ,you do not leave hungry !Open at term time only ,and pre -bookable.Lunch times and evenings.
