Delicious seafood, best I've had in a while. Will certainly be coming back to try the rest of the menu.

Unfussy friendly traditional pub. Log fire in winter, terrace in summer. Hand drawn beer. Menu is basic but the food is good, and reasonably priced

Lovely, local cafe, extremely friendly staff, great home cooked food right by the beach. Food tasted fresh and it was well presented, and good portion sizes. Would highly recommend.

This was a fabulous find on a windy day with very few tea rooms or pubs open for food at this time of the year. Clean and tidy with tea rooms at the side of a gift shop (cards, bags etc). A lovely welcome and a simple menu. The ploughman’s lunch was a huge board with chunks of bread, two types of cheese, ham, pork pie & pickles etc. It was very good value and large enough to be a sharing platter.

Lovely looking building but currently not in use. Apparently the National Trust is having difficulty finding a tenant. Check before visiting.

What a find. Had a lovely afternoon tea sat in the sunshine. Staff are great providing excellent service. The afternoon tea for one came with two large scones, jam and a huge portion of clotted cream . Would highly recommend

Visiting Beer on a Sunday & looking for somewhere for a light lunch (sandwich type lunch) Called into here, completely empty when we arrived, but looked to be newly decorated & quite nice, being dog friendly decided to give it a try. Drinks ordered, took a look at menu & realised as a Sunday they were only doing Sunday Roasts & proper lunches. We therefore just had some drinks & crisps. By the time we left a few people had received their orders & looking at plates of food, pleased we didn’t have food.

I asked for a cream tea for two and was told it was £12 for one scone each and a mug, but if I wanted a pot for two and two scones it would be £18. I queried this and was told by two assistant that was right. How can that be right? Ridiculously overpriced even if it cost £12 with a pot. The scone was out of a packet and heated up (probably to soften it up) and wasn’t that thrilling!

Busy Greene King pub right on the front. It was a sunny ‘Mothers Day’, crowds converged on Beer, the pub was packed. Our table was for 7:00pm, the staff remained friendly enough given a tough day and the food acceptable, plates dropped in front of you + no effort to open the wine. The pub itself is tired and overall the experience was average.

Friday night, steak night does not disappoint, the food is very well presented and tastes great, family run business, great atmosphere and a very enjoyable night out for a special day remembering my Mum and Dad.

Lovely pub in a beautiful seaside village amazing views on the beach clam and relaxing. Food was delicious and tasty ordered two meals that was fish and chips with peas and lasagna with grill bread and side salad. Service was excellent and professional a warm and a happy environment. I would highly recommend and will come back again when next visiting.
