What a magnificent Christmas feast for our large group of family and friends. We enjoyed our lunch in the wooden, cosy shed that is part of the restaurant. Warm heating, festive decorations and the freedom to enjoy the entire space to ourselves added to this special occasion. We cannot thank Jacqui and her amazing team for going over and beyond. The food was outstanding and the attention to detail and service was exceptional. Thank you, thank you..

Excellent restaurant in a very beautiful hotel where I celebrated my birthday with a a small group of friends. Last year I also enjoyed an evening meal here with my partner. Ambience, service and food were perfect. Apéritifs in the lounge, well-spaced tables in the restaurant, excellent, polite and friendly staff, delicious food and lovely surroundings. By far the best restaurant I have been to in years.

Friendly cafe. Lovely lunch. Ordered avocado and eggs on sourdough, way too big a meal for me! Excellent value. Great coffee.

Staying in beautiful Tetbury and was recommended Cafe53… my husband and I walked in at 11:35 hoping for breakfast we were told that breakfast finished at 11:45 the brunch would begin at 12:00… after deciding what we were having (but knew we couldn’t order before 12) we were then told at 11:55 that the chef has decided not to do brunch and will now continue with the lunch menu only! No apology no explanation, the team were rude and awkward for no reason… I would’ve thought at this time of year you couldn’t afford to turn away customers! It was their loss as we then went to a fantastic restaurant with fantastic service, Blue Zucchini, a real gem!!!

Terribly overpriced, over £4 for a weak flat white, fish finger sandwich made with very average supermarket style bread containing basic fish fingers. Two sandwiches and two coffees = £36, including a 10% service charge ! Really poor value for money, very limited pretentious menu. The staff were friendly and the place has a nice ambiance. I won’t be returning due to poor menu, weak coffee, and silly prices.

Booked last year on Christmas Eve and had a good experience. Booked for Christmas Eve 2024 and not so good. Booked in November. When we arrived seemed like we were not expected. Shown to back room where no one else sat. Thought ok at least quiet. Ordered drinks and then food. Then loads of scraping of chairs and tables around us to accommodate party of people who hadn’t booked. When our food came everyone staring as party of people had been sat at the side of us. Our food was bad two steaks overcooked and were grey and tasteless. Will vote with my feet and will mot arrive next year!

We came here for a meal for a family celebration. What to say that has not already been covered by the reviews below, but to summarise: - The food was superb, with the roast dinners being a particular highlight. - The staff were so friendly and attentive, catering to our every need. We felt very well looked after. - We were seated in a lovely private room which had great ambience and decor. Everything we could have wanted for the occasion. Couldn't be more grateful to the staff and we would love to come back again one day. NB: for whatever reason Google Reviews is not accepting my 5* ratings for service, location etc. The 0/5s are not correct (if they are still showing as such) and I firmly award 5/5s for each.

Comimos aquí este mes pero el cartel decía 'Lyndseys'. Le preguntamos a un miembro del personal y me dijeron que los dos sapos cesado en 2013 Agosto así que un poco sorprendido por estas dos comentarios! ¿Por qué la gente examinar ahora?

Very disappointed with the soup of the day and the flat white coffee wasn't much more than coloured watered down milk, cold, thin and tasteless. I try not to give poor reviews but this was the worst lunch experience I can recall.
