Friendly cafe. Lovely lunch. Ordered avocado and eggs on sourdough, way too big a meal for me! Excellent value. Great coffee.

Came across this cafe almost by accident as we made our way back to the car. As it was dog-friendly, decided to go in for a coffee. Lovely staff, and superb scones, both savoury and sweet. Very dog-friendly. Would definitely recommend searching this cafe out if you’re in Tetbury.

It has now changed name. It was just after 5pm and it seemed that everything had already closed. A cafe slightly further up the street was still open but told us they had closed which turned out to be good for us and we stumbled upon the only cafe open. A lovely lady served us a couple of resonably priced house lemonades which were very refreshing, she had some amazing home made cakes there but unfortunately we had already had lunch one hour ealier in another town. I would reccomend this cafe over any others in Tetbury!

I wanted to have traditional fresh scones - one of my missions for the weekend at Tetbury :-) - and we quickly came across this cosy, cute cafe at one of the main streets. The cafe serves traditional british snacks and has a long list of different types of scones! The scones were fresh, warm and delicious. They were also quite big. Loved that depending on the flavour they were served with different things. I had the cheese scone, which came with extra cheese slices and butter and the lemon scone which came with butter and lemon curd. My friend got food envy and ended up also ordering a classic scone which came with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Don't miss out on this little gem if you are at Tetbury!

This was a planned lunch stop as conveniently situated near the Long Stay Car Park near Tourist Information. The excellent reviews influenced our choice. It was a foul day and we were like a couple of drowned rats after the walk. After changing in the car we made the short trip to what is now called the Cornflower. Still wet and bedraggled we immediately benefitted from the warm temperature. We both had a delicious panini, beautifully presented and shared a lot of tea. Very impressed by the size of the tea pot, which provided us with 3 cups each with more to spare. Felt much more human afterwards, and the experience was made more pleasurable by the warm and friendly atmosphere.

Had a wonderful lunch here before going to Highgrove. The owner is very friendly and funny. Made us laugh from the first moment when he shut 2 of our party outside and put the closed sign up. He then called them in and moved everyone else on up the road. He was on his own and didn't want too many in at one time. He had many stories along with light hearted banter. He then produced the most gorgeous sandwiches and drinks. We highly recommend this cafe if Brian will let you in. If you are easily offended stay away but if you like a bit of light hearted banter and wonderful food bang on the door and beg to go in😀.

Traditional English Team Room, very personable owner serving homemade cakes, fresh sandwiches and excellent tea and coffee.Rather than trying to compete with the contemporary bistros in Tetbury, Cafe Edge's strength is its quintessential Englishness, a strength the owner should build on and develop.

It reminded me of going ack into the 60's and 70's. Old fashional personal service given by a more senior person who I guess did it to suplement his pension. We asked for two sandwiches, one tuna, one cheese and tomato with salad. They were £4.50 each which I thought a bit steep, but they were very well filled and just right for our stop on the road. The coffee was fresh and good. It is indeed at the Edge of the tourist centre but the others were a bit overdone so I was pleased to find this simplicity.

Popped in when canvassing in Tetbury. I normally find the coffee sold in larger brand coffee shops a little too weak and bland so it's nice to find somewhere like this that sells a coffee that really 'hits the spot'! It was a quiet wet Friday morning when I came in so I got to have a chat with the owner, Brian who is very friendly and a really great host.

One of the weirdest lunch experiences ever. A little cafe, with a sign in the window stating cash only (fair enough). We took the last free table at which point the waitress must have changed the sign on the door to 'Closed' (It was about 1.45pm on a Saturday). Another couple came in, made the mistake of trying to order and were very rudely told that there were no tables, (despite the fact that one table was just being vacated) and that 'the cafe was closed anyway'. A few minutes later when that couple had left and another table also became free, the owner turned the sign back to 'Open'. A family with a pushchair started to come in, but the owner hurried to stop them saying he didn't allow pushchairs as they should have seen from the sign in the window. He ushered them out but one of the party tried to remonstrate saying they could have folded down the pushchair and he that he was losing business. The owner basically responded that he didn't care.It is a narrow little place, not ideal for pushchairs, but the way the owner spoke to the family was not good and I felt embarrassed to be eating in his cafe. Try somewhere else.

Went in to get a coffee. Very quickly, it became clear that this was a wrong move. For a start, the place stank of brussel sprouts, which was very offputting if you don't like sprouts. Not sure that they actually sold that food there - it just smelt.Second up, the guy behind the counter looked a bit baffled when I asked for a takeaway coffee. Always concerning. But he quickly found some cups. He ran his coffee machine, and then put the coffee in the cup and looked for a lid. But the lids kept breaking. The guy started complaining about the quality of goods in the cash and carry before he found a lid that seems like it clicked on properly. I think he actually wrecked the cup trying on so many caps. Still, his heart and customer service ethos was in the right place.Despite only spending two-three minutes in this place, I left with a whiff of sprouts in my nostrils and a coffee that tasted of brussel sprouts more than it smelt of coffee

I agree with the other reviewer who said that this is a very odd place. From the outside, it looks really promising, but inside is a different story. We were greeted a little gruffly upon arrival and went on to order two teas and a slice of carrot cake. The waitress then proceeded to bring out the crockery piece by piece (i.e. she brought across two teacups, then went back to get the milk, then went back to get the tea, and then went back to retrieve the saucers). The tea was fine, though the tea pot and my cup were a little dirty. The carrot cake was not very nice as the frosting was a foam concoction that tasted very strange.

I met an old friend in Tetbury, it being half way between where I lived, and my friend lived. Walking out of the car park this was the first cafe we came across and there were a few people in there, the menu looked good so we gave it a try. We were immediately given a warm welcome by the owner who was very friendly and full of local information. We ordered coffee and I must say the coffee was very good. After a while we ordered jacket potatoes which were perfectly done and were presented with a small side salad which healthily included a couple of wedges of lemon and slices of fresh orange. More coffee to finish and a good chat with the owner. Overall a good experience in this small friendly cafe, good value and freshly prepared food. In the window was proudly presented top rated hygiene certificate. Will definitely call again if we visit Tetbury.

We were seeking a quick light lunch berfore a Highgrove tour and this looked rather chic from the outside. The inside was much less attractive and quite small and cramped. Good traditional café menu choice and pleasant service but quite basic generally. Although opposite an organic baker shop I was disappointed with supermarket sliced brown bread with my soup, as I looked across the road at delicious looking loaves. The toilet was cluttered with cleaning equipment and reminded me of café loos in Italy! Would probably use elsewhere on a return visit to Tetbury.

I was recently in tetbury with work and managed to find the time for a spot of lunch, there are several tea rooms in tetbury but with one of them being shut my choice was made a lot easier. I found cafe edge on the end of church street and although it was relatively busy i still went in, Im very glad i did. Even with the business of the shop i was still served within a few minutes with probably the best tasting coffee ive had in years (having to travel with work i spend a lot of times in the larger chains it was hot! not like other recent experiences) The menu was sufficent and very reasonably priced i had a jacket potato which was loaded with filling which was also brought out quite timely after ordering. The staff were very friendly and attentive which was nice to see that they are happy in their work. All in all a very satisfied lunch break which i dont always find the time to take.

This cafe is located in the centre of Tetbury, near the tourist information office. The service was efficient, the drinks lovely, but what makes this cafe worth a visit are the home-made cakes. They may not have the choice of every cake every day, because they are freshly-made each day and they don't make a new batch until the old batch is gone, so you know everything that they have will be fresh. Delicious!

The cafe was very busy but we loitered until there was a table free. The cafe has a very friendly atmosphere, is basic but clean a touch of old world with very friendly staff. Although busy we did not have to wait long for our bacon mushroom and cheese toasted panninis, for such a simple meal they were really tastey and hot a small salad came with them and we had a strawberry milk shake to go with it which was also very nice. The food was very filling and was about right for what we wanted We would certainly recommend this cafe and will visit it again.Well done Brian and the staff

He is on the town council in Tetbury and if the Cafe is not full he will keep you regaled with wonderful conversation and stories. The menu is small because of the small kitchen but everything I have sampled has been great. I especially like the paninis. What a find, a very quintessential English country pub serving local beers as well as a very stocked back shelf and wine cellar. The welcome is warm and very friendly from the staff and locals alike. Not once did we finish our meals and head home, as we started conversations with the locals and fellow guests, that meant for a very social atmosphere. There is a good lunch menu and a very comprehensive evening menu. I promise you will want to come back to try "something else" off the menu, I know we did and we soon realised that we had to pick either starters & main or main & desert due to the larger portions you receive.

We attended a Wedding at Fosse Manor (in their Hyde Barn). The wedding catering was excellent. It is confusing to read the other reviews here as there was no actual restaurant on site that we could see - just the wedding banquet room and adjoining bar. Breakfast however was not good. Pre-cooked under 3 heat lamps and self-service. The tea was very weak even after adding more tea-bags! The breakfast room was styled like a hostel with long trestle tables for lots of guests to sit together, and was extremely noisy. After a night spent in the terrible accommodation here (for which we have written a separate review) we did not enjoy this experience at all. A shame, as the Wedding catering itself was very well done and managed.

A very old fashioned type of tea room. You think you're going into a book shop at first, then go into the main tea room. It all exudes history and quality. Very nice for afternoon tea, the cakes are wonderful and all made on the premises, the brunch was great too. Can't really fault it. Service was quick despite it being very busy. Highly recommended, well worth a visit
