So sad to hear that our favourite tea rooms has closed. Thank you to Suzy, Dave, Ryan and Teresa for being so friendly and welcoming to our family over the past few years. As mentioned by others your scones were simply the best and all food, cakes and drinks so lovingly prepared. We were so glad to have been able to make one last visit during October. There was nowhere else we would have made a 180 mile round trip to visit for sure. Wishing you all the very best for the future.

Great treats served quickly with a friendly smile. Lovely place for a quick pit stop. Highly recommended.

Stayed nearby in January, so unfortunately lots of breakfast / brunch places were closed. Luckily Strong Adolfos was open, and it did not disappoint. Not your typical brunch options, but lovely all the same. The staff was friendly, and the food and coffees were delicious. The only downsides were sitting a little cramped with other people (perhaps just very popular) and it is quite expensive (roughly £55 for two meals and 4 coffees) although definitely delicious! Would definitely recommend for brunch.

Visited twice during a 6 week period in 2019 and had different meals each time. We returned to see if we had got something wrong however this turned out not to be the case. What food we had was enjoyable however there simply was not enough of it to justify the spend - therefore it can be deemed as expensive for what we had. The staff are nice and the place itself also nice however just wish it was better value for money than was found. Drinks are also overpriced. As an example, a dessert mousse which I though would be quite rich and in abundance left me wanting for more as there was simply an inch in a glass with more oaty toppings than mousse and in a couple of small spoons it was gone. It would have been nice to have more for the money. Maybe the name Bistro gives it away and should have realised that we were only going to get "Pretty food" and not wholesome filling food but we live and learn. Doubt we would return for a third time sadly. UPDATE AUGUST 2022 THE BRIDGE BISTRO IS NO LONGER OPEN OR TRADING

food was great service speedy but that's where the positives end i hope this review is taken on board and used to improve your overall operations as a hospitality manager I find the concept strange and poorly executed, staff are clearly not on board as they were rude!! its clearly a constant problem for them If your going to ask your customers to pay extra to eat in, you need to clearly sign post it and your staff need to communicate that clearly and be accommodating if there is a miss understanding if that message isn't portraited onto the customer we were asked if we were eating in and we declined we ordered then the couple we were with behind us changed their mind at the check out paid and sat down we then joined them, we then i feel were rather rudely asked to leave and i quote "i asked you if you were eating in you said no!" not a even a resolution was offered "if you wish to sit here there is a fee" affectively we were asked to leave when i quizzed the staff on the builders in the corner eating out of their packets who clearly were takeaway...sat at a table, it wasn't even acknowledged probably regulars, at least be consistent if your going to put these rules in place i will finish on a final note of consistency i regularly visit the Newquay branch where i sometimes eat at the benches provided no charge to eat in there so why is at this branch i find the concept confusing and out of step with your other outlets The whole thing left me rather annoyed after spend about £40.00 with you 2/5 for your staff making me feel like i cant be there........ be better!!

i’ve come down here to visit my family, and we stopped in this pub to have a quick bite to eat but the old lady (owner i’m assuming) was absolutely rude to me and my family, we moved to the opposite table because our one was dirty and she proceeded to make a rude comment and be passive aggressive towards us, would not come here again.

Having not been here in over a year we thought we would have an evening out as we had always enjoyed the food and atmosphere, sadly we were disappointed and did not end up staying for food. Firstly on entering we could not smell and food smells only a damp musty smell. We ordered drinks and were shocked at the price, over £10 for a shandy and half a glass of lime and soda. On being seated upstairs it felt chilly, the table was grubby and the light feature on the table did not work. Awful pop music playing in the background was being drowned out by the bellowing voice of the chef downstairs in the kitchen, we could hear most of what he was saying including the 'F' words. After sitting for 10 mins we realised that the dish I would be ordering (slow cooked pork belly)was obviously not cooking so would most probably have been microwaved along with the dauphinoise potatoes, and the noise of the chef and music we decided to leave and eat elsewhere. Such a shame that this once lovely restaurant lacked atmosphere, fresh cooked food and respect for customers from the chef!
