We wanted to go somewhere for breakfast after checking out of our accommodation in Polzeath as it was my wife’s birthday. We’ve been to Relish a number of times in the past and rate the coffee very highly. So we went. The coffee was good as always, but we immediately regretted going for breakfast. The menu was limited with very little vegetarian options. We had breakfast sandwiches which were quite frankly awful. The bread was stale, the bacon was very salty and microwaved and the sausage had no flavour. So all in all not a very good experience. My hope would be that the owners take on board my criticism and try to up their game a little rather than retaliate defensively. There is no reason why a cafe that has a deli attached cannot provide a tasty breakfast sandwich with freshly made sourdough.

My friend and I met here for coffee on a cold wet winter's day, There was just one other table occupied by a family group all nattering loudly but otherwise we appreciated the space and quiet. Staff friendly and relaxed. The front door was left open by one staff member and when we complained it was cold and the wind blowing in and attempted to close the door the waitress said she needed it open as was bringing things in and out for most of the duration of our visit so we kept our coats on to keep warm. There would not be this problem in summer of course.. Apart from that the coffee was nice which was all we had. The venue seemed seemed clean and not too cluttered and a fair amount of space between tables was pleasant too. Very convenient location in a quiet cobbled square off the main Molesworth street in the heart of Wadebridge.

We had one of our best meals at Relish. Their porridge was delicious, as was their ‘breakfast club’ which was a sandwich stuffed with egg and potato and other wonderful things. The kiwi music playing over the sound system reminded us of home, and the staff were relaxed and accommodating. The only downside of this delightfully comfortable and clean cafe was the weak coffee. Still missing the strong, creamy flat whites of home.

My wife and I used to be pretty regular visitors to Relish but to be honest the lack of any real ambience, haphazard service and Sunday closing led us to find alternative options. We visited today for the first time in ages. We sat at a table and after being totally ignored for nearly 10 minutes I had to leave my table to to attract the attention of one of the waitresses. Not wishing to waste any more time I gave my order there and then. Then came another wait for my coffee. I will accept some delay as with a pretty full cafe and only one barista that was always going to be the case. The problem was that when the coffee did finally arrive there was no sign of the food. I had to remind a waitress that I had not received the food. It arrived a few minutes later by which time my coffee was finished. I will say that the coffee is good and the menu is sufficiently comprehensive, well-cooked and tasty. All let down by a less than slick service.

Since when is - they make a few sandwiches we collect - doing outside catering? They did however offer to provide quiche several times despite saying we didn't want quiche. I only phoned as previous comments said how helpful they were and would make up any sandwich to order. So if we turned up on the day and asked for 16 sandwiches would they just say no? Helpful wouldn't be a word we would use - not from our experience

The coffee made at Relish Cafe is really well made and a joy to drink. It’s quite a place to find, tucked behind the high street in a little courtyard. I have visited Relish many times over the years and always look forward to having a cream tea. They normally serve the most amazing warm scones. Sadly not on this occasion. It would appear that there had been some kind of mix up in the baking process with what was probably an overdose of baking powder which resulted in a bitter inedible scone.

I don’t write TA reviews as a rule, however Relish is seriously worth a visit. My wife and I visited for lunch this past weekend, we were greeted by a lovely chap behind the deli counter who was extremely knowledgeable about his products and his passion shone through. We ate the single best charcuterie and ploughman’s plates I’ve eaten here. Cheeses and meats were genuinely faultless, bread fresh and generous. I’m a new wave coffee snob- their Coffee is roasted in house and is up there with the best, I’m from Bristol and buy beans at Clifton Coffee direct and can drink in some of the best places in the country in Bristol and Bath so I’m spoiled and this is On a par. Having had lunch on day one of our break I felt compelled to cycle back there on day two for another coffee( as cyclists tend to) Go to this place if you’re in Wadebridge, that is all....

Recently my wife had a vegetarian club sandwich which she enjoyed and struggled to finish as there was so much bread. I had the ploughman's which was very tasty, but there was one small piece of ham and one homeopathically small piece of ( admittedly tasty) cheese. Surely for £9.50 they could give you a couple of decent sized pieces of cheese? Maybe next time we will try one of the other cafes in Wadebridge.

I'm a veggie and the breakfast was excellent. Different to the usual fare and much tastier. The beans are excellent! Ultimately for a tea drinker, they make their tea with real leaves and the tea is delicious. It really has an impact when the tea is brewed.

Love this little place. It serves the best coffee for many a mile. One of our favourite coffee shops. A hidden gem and a Cornish treasure!

Visited here whilst cycling the Camel Trail. Its a lovely cafe just off the pedestrianised centre and well away form the cafes on the cycle route with sheltered outside seating. Great coffee and cakes. Lovely service too.Next to the cafe is the deli - there we were able to purchase cold meat, cheese and bread from a fantastic selection of food for our picnic at the end of trail.

Stopped here after reading previous reviews and glad I did. Cute little cafe in a small courtyard serving coffee, cake and light lunches (when I was there at least). Books and colouring for the kids, a small but tempting menu and excellent coffee. I had the ham sandwich, which sounds a little lame written down, but was actually really tasty. My wife had bacon sandwich and the kids shared a ploughman's (which is an excellent idea for kids) and a quiche. All of which were really tasty and decent value for the meal. Friendly staff facilitated my need for a takeaway affogato and the whole place felt well run and we'll liked by its customers. All in all everything you could want from a cafe bar maybe a sofa...

Tucked away in the corner of a courtyard, this is a pleasant lunch spot. A collection of outdoor seating, with a throw in case it is cold, makes it an attractive location especially if it is sunny. The interior of the cafe is somewhat dull and unattractive compared to outside. Nice variety of lunch time meals. Our food was well presented, the olives plump and delicious and the pate and bread was great. Seems popular with tourists and locals .

Sitting in the courtyard you would never know you were in the town centre. Great service, a small but select menu not your run of the mill food. Local produce offering something a little different. We will be back for breakfast before we head home next week

We have been recommended Relish time and time again and whenever in Wadebridge this is a must for us!! The best coffee in Cornwall! Such a variety and with 3 of us in our party we are all able to order something we would like from the menu. Service is great and really attentive. We came for breakfast one morning and it was absolutely delicious! We're going home today, however might have to run in for a takeaway coffee! Keep up all the good work guys as it's absolutely perfect here and thanks for making our shopping trips into Wadebridge even more enjoyable!

Visited today - friendly staff with excellent service and great food. We had the special sandwich is the day which was served with an excellent side salad and home made coleslaw presented well on a wooden platter. The meal was very tasty and filling. Home made scone followed with clotted cream and strawberry jam. Great HOT coffee (seldom seem to get a hot coffee nowdays). Dog friendly with covered (parasols) eating area outside. HIGHLY recommended.

Very welcoming, Great ice cream flavours. Especially the Ferrero Roche and Millionaires shortbread. Lady went above and beyond for our dog letting her sit in the shade on a 25 degree day to enjoy her pup cup. Thank you!

the only place open on a Sunday on St Martins! So glad it was open, it was absolutely heaving but we got there in time to get seats and what was left of the cakes and drinks.
