I called in at this unassuming place for a take out chicken burger, it was so nice we went back for a meal the following night. We had a beef burger, a pizza and a steak, all were cooked to perfection with a bit of a twist. Such a shame we are going home tomorrow as we would have loved to come again. Staff are all lovely-friendly and helpful.

The food was on point. This restaurant serves Selmas favourite Calamare. I had the burger which was spot on too. My daughter was pleased with what she had off the children’s menu and the garlic bread. The staff was efficient and professional.

As usual The Galley provides the very best lunchtime snacks. Tuna sweetcorn sandwich full of tuna on delicious bread. Hot mug of tea to wash it down. I took two cream teas away to eat later with my husband. Large home made scones. There is nothing in Charlestown to beat this place and the prices are so reasonable. Try the crab sandwiches!! Fantastic

Me and the Mr popped in for a post sea-swim breakfast and ssooo glad we did. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. Food was good quality, very tasty, and well presented. My tea came in a non-leaky pot, and was hot and fresh. Bacon was crispy, eggs were a rich yellow colour, and well seasoned. Carrot cake was moist and the frosting was lush! Will definitely be back. Thanks, you've pitched it just right! 👌🏼😍😋

Have had a couple of Sunday lunches at the Bay View and I have to say both have been really good, a three course dinner, very good food with excellent service throughout, thanks to Brett for great service, a clear favourite with the regulars. I would recommend and will be back.

Their Cornish pasties were made the traditional way and NOT full of minced gristle like ginsters but with chunks of tender stake and fresh veg with a lovely flaky pastry. Such a shame it's not in existence anymore .

Had a great experience dining here for a birthday celebration. The team member who looked after us, Josh, went out of his way to ensure we had a great meal and a relaxed time, great hospitality. The menu showcases the very best of local ingredients and suppliers, and every dish was outstanding. Grilled scallops with citrus butter, almonds, shaved roast cauliflower and golden raisins were a particular highlight, but each dish was well executed - very fresh crab roll, lemon sole with asparagus, and lamb rump on vegetable compote with feta - wishing I could go back again soon! I also recommend you check out the locally-inspired cocktail creations and the Cornish wines from Knightor, they really complemented the meal.

Visited here twice as it was a little gold mine to escape the rain. The breakfast and cake I had was fresh, hot and very tasty service was quick and very reasonably priced for the quality. The caramel doughnut I had was so soft and filled with fresh cream. Best cream cake I’ve had in years. Will return next time I’m in the area.

I have eaten at the Rebellion on 6 or 8 occasions. I can say honestly whilst the menu isn’t large the food is delicious. Great food all courses and the drinks are great too. All served to you by staff that go out of their way to make sure your having the best time. Don’t miss out give it a go.

Difficult to rate this one as it was both excellent and disappointing. We stayed one night on our way round the South West Coast Path. The room was very nicely decorated with everything we needed, and some nice extra touches. There was an issue with the plumbing which we reported in the morning and I’m confident it’ll be fixed for the next guest - can’t be helped. Breakfast was excellent. By far the best vegan full English of our walk so far. The 2 staff working were both excellent too. So bed and breakfast was great. But our meal the night before wasn’t. My wife had a marmite/potato dish, which was nicely presented and tasty enough, but the size of a starter and lacking something. My curry was fine, and substantial. Service was very slow and we’re still waiting for the staff member to come back with the dessert menu (we gave up after 15 minutes). Others had the wrong orders brought to them and waited over an hour for food. So, B&B - great, dinner - don’t bother.

Won’t be back anytime soon ! It used to be a good but has fallen off the edge I’m afraid The cafe area is a complete shambles, full bin bags lying in the seating area, tinned drinks stacked up, bookshelves stood up against wall and no heating. Food is poor quality and hugely overpriced, with stale bread, salad leaves going brown and “ lumps” of cheese in the sandwich. The staff are less than helpful and appearance does not seem to matter to them. All in all a very poor standard set in all aspects

Just popped in for a pizza and a few drinks with my partner—everything was cooked to perfection. Big shoutout to Oliver and Sam behind the bar who were incredibly welcoming and hospitable. If you haven’t been here yet, or it’s been a while, I highly recommend stopping by to see what it’s all about. You won’t be disappointed!
