Rock Inn in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Highly recommended! Came for our first carvery here and have to say it did not disappoint! The meat was lush, a nice selection of veg, all cooked perfectly and reasonably priced. Staff were also friendly and welcoming, we will definitely be back.

A great pub with friendly staff and great food. Dog friendly too. I had belly pork and mash, my partner had slow roasted lamb. Both were well presented and delicious

Booked a table though it was not busy when we visited. Choice of eating in bar area or restaurant which we opted for. Service excellent throughout, good sized portions of food, lamb was excellent, chicken tikka good!

From the menu I was expecting the usual pub grub but the standard was so much better than that and portion sizes were good too and pleasantly priced. Would definitely recommend even it it meant going out of my way by a few miles.

Well this was a special day meeting new family for the first time at The Rock. Our large party had a wonderful Sunday Lunch here with a great team providing a lovely atmosphere in an extremely busy place on Mothering Sunday. There were four choices of meat with plenty of it for everybody. The roast potatoes were just perfect with a choice of 6-7 other vegetables, as well as great Yorkshire Puddings and stuffing along with a choice of sauces to accompany the meal, as well as tasty gravy. The puddings looked excellent, but we had no room for anything else. Thanks to the staff at The Rock.

I stay with family in Roche several times each year and this is their local, and now it's mine too. So I have visited very frequently for both food and drinks. Always a pleasant atmosphere and great service.

The sunday roast/carvery. possibly the worst ever. On arriving we were told that no pork was available.ok so move on . Plate sizes smaii for the price.In fact as we had taken friends we were embarresed. The Victoria Inn nearbyis far superior

The clays doesn’t come with the greatest of reputations so entering here for some food was meant with some trepidation. If there was a complaint, I will say it’s noisy when you enter and you can’t quite cancel the amount of noise from the separated dining area, though I should mention it was a Friday night . However, as far as food and service go, it was exceptionally good considering the price. I was delighted with the range of choice and I will certainly come here when it’s potentially quieter as I think that will lead to an even better experience

As usual a good meal with good service will go again very reasonable and great food and service very friendly atmosphere

Booked a table online and arrived to a friendly greeting at the bar. Had an amazing carvery with a choice of 3 meats, all cooked superbly and lovely and tender. A choice of fresh vegetables with Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and amazing crispy roasties( even had crackling). Highly recommend for a Sunday lunch, with lovely friendly staff.

From the moment we walked in we felt at home, the staff are amazing and the atmosphere was lovely, we had superb meal which cooked to perfection and presented beautifully, this hidden gem has new management which has transformed this lovely inn into a wonderful friendly environment with great facilities and a talented chef.

Hubby and I have passed this pub umpteen times and at last we booked Sunday lunch there last week. Why didn't we go before? The best roast potatoes I've had since my dear mum's years ago. The beef was flavourful and tender and the yorkshires perfect. Complimented by real gravy. Excellent meal and very reasonably priced. Would eat here every week. Our new favourite.

The staff are friendly and keen to assist, the Carvery was superb, loads of fresh cooked vegetables and a wide variety. The Beef that I had was cooked perfectly and full of flavour. I will be back and take a group of friends with me next time as the menu looks superb too.
