Ahh what a lovely place to go for a last day breakfast. Hot tasty locally sourced food and very reasonably priced👍 Hubby & eldest had a full English, the other son had huge bacon bap whilst l plumped for mushrooms/beans on brown toast all 👍👍👍. Lots of choice and takeaway offered can't wait to return for our May visit.

Called in for dinner tonight - had the meat pizza and the minced beef and red onion. Beautiful, two of the best pizzas we have had. Very well cooked, nice crunchy base and tasty toppings. Had butter and garlic dip along with chilli oil. Would definitely recommend!

We had a very enjoyable meal here. The pizzas were delicious and a good size. The service provided by Fred and the team was exceptional - we were made to feel very welcome and the birthday 'extras' were greatly appreciated. Thank you! We can thoroughly recommend the pizza restaurant :-)

End of lockdown, so everywhere was rammed or had huge queues. We waited about 20 mins for this and it was really unusual and absolutely delicious! We had a large Fishermans Basket and dirty fries to share, plenty of food for two.

First time we had visited Kota with friends that have been many times. Had very high expectations after reading reviews and hearing how much our friends loved this place. The ethos has changed from fine dining to a menu that offers small plates with a small plate tasting menu. They have an extensive range of drinks and the menu also offers a very reasonably price flight of wine. Really pleasant atmosphere, lovely bar area, the restaurant has a cosy feel despite being quite spacious, lovely low lighting and really lovely ambience, it’s newly decorated and is apparently improved on what it was like. Kota has really lovely welcoming staff. Menu offers local sustainable food. They do ask the whole table chooses from the same menu for easier timing of dishes to your table. Choice is between small plates standard menu or the small plates tasting menu. We all chose the reasonably priced tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was small plates Pinxos style with 6 course. Although we only had 5 wines as the first course didn’t have a wine pairing, not sure why. The food was nice, well presented and tasty. The wines were mainly British and brought over in glasses with no explanation of why they were selected to go with the food. On reflection we felt we should have just brought a bottle of wine instead. It’s a nice menu with good food we spent almost £600 for 4 of us so felt is a bit pricy for what we had. Would have really loved to hear about the wines rather than just being told what the label was called. Our friends were a bit disappointed from the last times they have been, when it was exceptional.

We were made very welcome when we arrived. We ordered food but had to wait quite a while for it to arrive, even though the pub wasn't busy. Sadly, the food wasn't great. The pasta bake wasn't very hot and needed to be returned. The burgers were nice, but the rest of the meal was just passable. The 'crispy' onion rings were greasy and unpleasant. It was such a shame as the place has the potential for great things, a great view etc. We shan't return, sorry.
