3 of us had a different bagel for lunch and we all thought they were amazing, only wish we’d found them earlier on our hols!!

Looking for somewhere different to meet up with some friends, were recommended The Square at Porthleven. Goodness we were not disappointed!! After a warm welcome we were shown to our table and presented with the menus. We were given a good amount of time to make our selections. Our starters included smoked salmon, mackerel pate, pickled cucumber and horseradish cream😋 also the leek and potato soup (with a yummy Welsh rarebit on the side), and the homemade bread with balsamic. Following these delectables were venison steak and amazing vegetables and sauce, and pork belly with crackling, hogs pudding and veg. It would’ve been rude not to have dessert so it was crème brûlée with shortbread biscuit, poached pear and apple and damson ice cream. All absolutely amazing, could not fault, and I hope to return next year!!

What a fabulous hidden gem! Food was so tasty and served really quickly and massive portions… it’s a shame we’re leaving for home today as would absolutely eat here again and again! Everything on the menu sounds delicious. I had nachos with pulled pork and my partner had the nacho burger. 10/10 🥰

Great spot but dirty toilet and milk jug inside rim brown where milk has stuck and not cleaned properly. I had Dan’s BLT which was avocado, bacon and fried egg. Advocada was almost invisible, spread thinly like butter. Lemon drizzle cake was obviously the last piece and tasted stale. £35 for 2 sandwiches, cake and drinks. Will give this a miss in future. Very disappointing.

I visited this lovely little cafe whilst on a family holiday, where we treated ourselves to a cake and coffee. Being gluten free it can be very difficult to find cafes that cater for dietary requirements however this cafe was a delight! They had a variety of delicious cakes that were gluten free and also offered a range of gluten free cream teas! So if you’re like me and have a sweet tooth, I highly recommended this quaint little cafe. I will be definitely making another trip back!

End of lockdown, so everywhere was rammed or had huge queues. We waited about 20 mins for this and it was really unusual and absolutely delicious! We had a large Fishermans Basket and dirty fries to share, plenty of food for two.
