I love this place and the staff, always get tasting spicy food, its not hot but they have chillis if needed. I’m a regular and usually drive out of my way just for the dal/curry and rice 😀😀

Between the four of us we had a falafel pitta, a panko halloumi pitta, a tofu katsu burger and a curry bowl - all delicious, vegan or veggie, and good sized portions. Excellent coffee too. I popped back later to grab a vegan-friendly brownie, which was also a great treat! I'm tempted to return for a pot of vegan ice cream if we get some sunshine. The Shipyard is a lovely location - lots of local arts and crafts.

So excited to find this little place. Delicious vegetarian and vegan food. Lovely friendly staff in a unique arty setting. They also serve Origin coffee and even vegan pastries. My favourite must be the Katsu Tofu Burger and fries but the falafel pitta (all home made) was delicious too! Personally think it’s the best vegetarian cafe in Cornwall. Must try.

WOW! What a lunch! We had a halloumi pitta and both my husband and I agreed it is one of the best sandwiches we had ever had! Lovely breadcrumb coated halloumi, a delicious selection of salads and sauce! All the flavours! Order it, you won’t regret it!

Inside the industrial building opposite the harbour. Loads of tasty veggie and vegan breakfast and dinner options. You can eat inside and check out the other ethical shops at the same time! We had the vegan katsu burger and chips, there's also vegan sausage rolls and brekkie items you can buy for a picnic. Follow them on Insta.

As has already been mentioned the shipyard market would benefit better signposting. We'd only spotted this in the distance when looking across the harbour, otherwise we'd have missed it completely. There's a good selection of vegan and vegetarian options. The vegan roll looked enticing and was getting favourable reviews from someone who passed us on our way in. My partner went for an halloumi wrap/naan and the breaded halloumi was a revelation, particularly for us who have lived on it for years. We ordered a side of fries which were good too and very much like those you'd get from an Indian restaurant. It was a difficult choice for me, with thali, curry and dhal options. In the end I chose the Chana (chickpea) curry. The curry was full of flavour, as good as any I've tasted in a restaurant. It came with salad, mango chutney, lime pickle and a poppadum. I only wish we weren't visitors to Cornwall as I would have loved to revisited and tried some more of what was on offer.

Excellent dhal and curry, freshly made and packed with flavour. The shipyard market is a great little space that needs better signposting off the main harbour side so more people are lucky enough to find like we were

Really good curry, veggie/vegan eat in/takeaway. Much needed in this part of Cornwall. Poppadum could have been crisper but the peanut/coconut curry and pickles were delicious and only £7.50. Friends had hallucinations (aka halloumi wrap - don’t you just love predictive text!!)

Ordered for the first time from Sawai Thai last night and overall was very impressed with the quality, quantity and value of food on offer. We bought 2x Chicken jasmine rice dishes and a portion of chips to share. The order came to £25 including a can of coke and although £2.50 for a can is pretty steep the overall cost of everything I think is reasonable given location and quality. We headed over to Pentire Headland a couple minutes up the road to catch a beautiful sunset and enjoy some lovely food. The fried rice was beautiful and sticky but not stodgy. The chicken was fresh, moist, tasty and plentiful. There was a decent amount of veg and the meal felt healthier than most takeaway. The Chips at £4.50 were okay. Presumably generic frozen chips. Portion size was fair for sharing with another dish. Weren't awful but probably wouldn't order again. Also no vinegar available. Also to note on the picture there is 1 very salty chip.. I put my own salt on this wasn't done by the cooks. The main dishes however were so good yesterday I'm coming back later today to try some other dishes and hopefully catching another stunning sunset over Crantock/Fistral! Also to note staff were nice and friendly. Based on my first experience I'd rate it a solid 8.5/10. Will update this review after I've tried some more food tonight. UPDATED REVIEW... So I did return the day after as it was so good and this time I wanted to try some noodle dishes and also wanted to try some other meats. I ordered Pork Pad Mee Korat which was a spicy rice noodle dish with pork and was absolutely delicious! It was fairly spicy with a decent kick but not overwhelming. The missus ordered Chicken Pad Thai which again was rice noodles and chicken in a more mild sauce which was also fantastic. I also wanted to try the beef so we ordered the same jasmine fried rice dish as the previous day but with beef instead of chicken. Again the rice dish was lovely just as I had already experienced and the beef was super moist and tasty. Having tried the chicken and beef I would suggest the chicken works better in that specific dish. Another minor point as I had with the chips on the previous visit, the spring rolls were not the best. Like the chips they weren't terrible but not value for money. For £6 you get a portion of 4 spring rolls which in fairness taste nice enough but they're not the biggest and not particularly well filled. I'd say they were about 75% batter. TO SUMMARISE My overall experience from 2 back to back visits is some genuinely fantastic Thai cooking. Rice dishes and noodle dishes are equally brilliant and the beef, chicken and pork I've tried were all delicious and generously portioned. A couple of minor points for the chips and spring rolls which are not so great and also on the expensive side but the main dishes are piping hot, rammed with protein and absolutely full of fresh ingredients and flavour offering affordable quality takeout great value for money. Overall I'd give this a 9 out of 10 based on 2 visits and I can see this becoming my regular food spot in Newquay. I'm excited to get creative and try more dishes I've never thought of ordering. Absolutely brilliant place.

Satay Chicken & Peanut sauce was amazing, and the texture too. The Pad Thai noodles were great portions and green curry was delicious. The ladies there were lovely and kind too.

A hidden gem. Don't be fooled by the location. We had to double back on our journey from Hayle back to Torpoint, and it was a revelation. Although we only had an early evening pitstop of mixed starters a salad and stir fry. It was all really fresh and tasty. Washed down of course with Singha... We will be back for a more detailed review. Thank you
